Unknown 'explorer .exe-child' thing
So looks like, have an unknown 'explorer .exe-child' appear on my "taskmgr.exe", I do not know how got there or how to remove it. I can kill it with taskmgr, but she will be re-run after a few seconds to kill him with taskmgr. Only way they stop coming back form kills the main explorer.exe. If I don't kill it the RAM and the processor will also normal form with 100% in 30 years.
If needed, an image, I can take one of them.
If you can help so never useful.
Since then, I can't have a lot without the Explorer bar. and I won't have the CPU and RAM at most.
Also if this wrong place to put this problem then you can change it. the label didn't.
Yours truly:

Hello
When you open a windows Explorer it will show that explorer.exe is the Task Manager. You mentioned that you see multiple instances of explorer.exe, you might face this problem because of any third-party application. I suggest that check you the issue in the State of clean boot of your computer and check if it helps. If you are not facing this problem to boot, it means you are facing this problem because of the third-party application.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
How to perform a clean boot in Windows
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: Please refer to the section: How to reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting section of Kb to start the computer to a normal startup after you fix the problem.
You can also click with the right button on each input in the Task Manager and click Open file location and check if it shows same place for all entries in the Task Manager.
Let us know the status of the issue.

First, you must run some respectable malware scanners to try to reduce the risk of malware infection.
Secondly, you should tell us about your system.
Thirdly, if the Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) crashes when you right-click on a file or folder, the problem usually happens as a shell extension for Explorer that you added some third-party programs or an extension of the Explorer shell that could be added without your knowledge.
Explorer shell extensions make up right click menu when you right-click things (such as open, rename, etc) and there are a lot of extensions to explore afflicted that can cause an accident. I hope you're able to repeat this crash when you want by doing something that you do. If you can do explore crash when you want, it is usually easy to understand the problem.
You don't describe symptoms suggestive of a need to run the System File Checker, but of course, you can if you wish, but note that if you have a genuine XP installation CD bootable with the same Service Pack as your installed Service (most people don't), the System File Checker will complain - much.
No matter what you use for malware protection, follow these steps:
Download, install, update and do a quick scan (not at the same time) with these free malware detection programs:Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_freeSUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/SAS will probably be just a bunch of Internet tracking cookies, but you can remove them. Once you have done at least a full analysis, you can do quick scans in the future to save time and save the analyses complete for when you have more time or are really suspicious of an infection of the system.
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
Since the implementation of the Microsoft Answers forum does not ask for any kind of information system when a new question is asked, we know absolutely nothing about your system. Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.
Thank you MS Answers, allowing the resolution of simple problems as frustrating and a lot of time as possible.
Provide information on your system, the better you can:
What is your system brand and model?
What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?
Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..
What do you see (exactly) that you don't think you should see, and when you see it?
What do not you think that you should see?
If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?
Now the fun part:
When the Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) is wrong (especially when right click), begin to suspect third-party add-ons explore extension.
Those who would be the Explorer extensions that do not belong to Microsoft. This means that extensions that you have added. Solution Explorer extensions are generally well and installation of certain applications will install extensions from Explorer solutions for you, give you a choice and sometimes they can be added without your knowledge when you install the new software.
Solution Explorer extensions are sometimes added as a new right-click option, you see on folders and files (like the scan of this file, open that file, play this song...).
If there is something in particular that you do during exploration that you know will be the cause of the problem, which will help focus on the problem and the help that you suddenly know, when you have found and corrected. If you can get there when you want it, make an adjustment and then there is no message the next time you don't do anything, you do, you have found and corrected.
First of all you need a way to see what modules explore you have installed now and a way to turn them off (not uninstall them) so you can understand that we are at the origin of the problem. You can have a lot of installed non-Microsoft extensions you don't know even being given that some installed software installs new without tell you about it.
Download ShellExView here to see what Explorer extensions you have loaded:
http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/shexview.html
ShellExView does not install anything on your computer, simply of runs and displays.
After launching ShellExView, under Options, choose "Mark non-Microsoft Extensions" and extensions not Microsoft will be pink, clear, but on some systems which is a difficult color to see, so click on display, choose the columns and move the column Microsoft closer to the top, so you can see on your screen without having to scroll left and right.
Click on the column header for Microsoft sort display (by clicking on the column of Microsoft) then all the non Microsoft extensions are on top and easy to see.
Non-Microsoft extensions would be things you have added (non-Microsoft) and are what you should be suspect. Suspicious extensions are non-Microsoft extensions.
You can also Google the name of a suspect add-on and see if there is any success on the mistakes and what other people have done about it.
You can Google something like:
Explorer XP crashing (you must fill in the name of add your suspect on.) See what kind of search results hits you get and are looking for solutions or situations that sound like yours.
I'm not a defender of trial and error, but I can't think of another way to do...
Right click and disable the non Microsoft extensions one at a time (or maybe in groups of 3-5 at a time), keep a list, so you can enable them again later if you wish. Disabling the extension does not uninstall the extension - it just disables it.
The result of the change is immediate and no reboot is necessary.
Test your right-click fault condition. If the Explorer starts to behave, you will know that an extension of this group of 3-5 is the culprit in order to start to enable them one by one until the Explorer fails again.
If you recognize all the extensions that have been added or recently downloaded, start with these first.
Don't forget - disabling the extension does not uninstall the extension - it is just disabled so you can always turn it on again. In this way, you can switch back and forth, enabled to be sure, you have the right extension under control.
Disable them one at a time until your right click on do not generate an error, then restart and test again to make sure the changes 'stick '. You have disabled the last extension would be suspicious.
You can also just disable all non-Microsoft extensions, restart and allow them one at a time until you find the one that generates the condition.
If you have a large number of extensions, you can disable them is small groups, 3-5 at a time instead of 1 at a time until your system starts to behave. When it does not, you will know that the problem is one of the extensions of this small group and you can enable members of the Group at a time until the problem returns, then the problem is with the last extension that you enabled.
The hope is that you will find an extension that caused the error, and then you can figure out what on this subject - either uninstall it or see if you can get an update of the author of the extension of their web page.
I have not your problem, but I can when you toggle extensions, the extension is immediately disabled, so disable an extension does not seem to require a restart, but if you think that you have found the problem, I reboot and repeat the test in any case to be sure the problem disappeared.
If you post your non-Microsoft extensions list, maybe someone will recognize it as a potential problem.
If you find the offending extension that's the problem, please let us know what it is that I can add to my list.

Application error Explorer.exe (oxc0000022), I tried the system restore to an earlier date, but I still could not load windows except Mode without failure. How can I solve this problem?
Hello
1st thing to try is a restoration of the system in safe mode
http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm
Windows Vista
Using the F8 method:
- Restart your computer.
- When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
- Select the Safe Mode option with the arrow keys.
- Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
- To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
- Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.
If that does not read this information
the link below is how to download and get a vista disk startup repair, which you can start from the
http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html
to boot from the dvd drive to be able to you will see a way to get into the bios Setup at the bottom of the screen or command menu start
It would be F2 or delete etc to enter the BIOS or F12 etc. for the start menu
Change boot order it do dvd drive 1st in the boot order

How to keep virtualization Explorer.exe
Hello team VMware,
I hope that this forum is still active, although the good old Thinapp is not really a single package more.
Currently, I encountered a problem with Thinapp:
With all my, until now virtualized, packages, process explore is also virtualized.
How this happens to you, you might ask?
I virtualized Dropbox and Firefox (for example), when I double click on the DropBox icon, I get an explorer.exe virtualized and not my computer. Now with DropBox, it is not really a problem, but with Firefox it is.
Whenever I download something with Firefox and I run download from Firefox, the download will open virtualized. If the download is a Setup for any software package, the software will be installed in the sandbox (somehow).
What I am doing wrong? Is this behavior by default?
How can I work around this?Thank you for the information!
Hello..
This forum is alive and well...
I'm sorry to say, but you have not virtualized Explorer. You can prove it by activating the entry of cmd.exe and run explorer.exe. Can now drag you outside of the virtual environment and see only the physical content. Why is this? This is because explorer.exe is already running in mode native and default, you are not allowed to launch a new instance of it. In order to preserve the RAM it reuses the existing process and the only launch a new window. You can force a new instance (and thus to run explorer.exe virtualized) following this blog: Running explorer.exe inside the bubble. VMware ThinApp Blog - Articles of VMware
In your case you are much more likely to have been hit by the fact that ThinApp launches all the treated child almost by default. This allows for greater compatibility of applications and really nothing, you need to change. If you know from the start what you want to exclude this default behavior, you can use the parameter called package.ini:
[BuildOptions]
ChildProcessEnvironmentExceptions = NameOfProcess.exe
If you want to force all child processes that will be launched outside the virtual environment use this parameter in package.ini:
[BuildOptions]
ChildProcessEnvironmentDefault = external
Just a word of warning. Change the default behavior might make your package to fail. Several times, all processes must run in the same environment.
One thing that could be causing your problem is the Modes of insulation as well... You could be in sandbox all your Dropbox files. It is probably not what you want... Please take a look at this post from video of KB for a detailed description of the universe of the Modes of insulation: methods of insulation agreement in VMware ThinApp | Insider - Articles from VMware VMware support

Explorer.exe does not work correctly.
Hello everyone.
My name is George Sebros and I have a Toshiba Satellite A300.
The reason why I post this new topic, it is that I need a little help from someone who knows something about my above problem:
One day, about 2 months ago... I turn on my Satellite A300.
When he connected, not only none of my icons appeared but also the start menu does not...
The only thing that appeared in a screen totally BLACK, has been my folder "Documents and Settings" which opened automatically.
There was no way I could find neither the start menu (I mean the taskbar), or my icons...
So, whenever I close the Documents and Settings folder that had appeared, the only thing I could see was a black screen...
It was a kind of shock to me and I couldn't believe my eyes...After a few days, I tried the well-known combination "Ctrl + Alt + Delete" to see what was working and what was not.
Then I pressed the 'FILE', then 'NEW TASK' and finally, I typed the word 'explorer' in there.
That's all! Suddenly, all turn to normal like the day before the problem started. I was happy with it, I could use my Satellite A300 again!
However, it is an indirect way to do my work PC!
This means that I'm still fain to use this indirect way to make the icons and the taskbar appears.
This means that the 'explorer.exe' does not work?
Many programs registry I use notify me on some HKY... files that contain DATA NON. I have to let you know that the explorer.exe is located in the (empty) folders.
It indicates that transplant programs that I use, point out the problem I have?
Can someone help me?I don't want to use the safe option of FORMATTING (also known as the FORMAT).
Thanks in advance,
George A. SebrosHello
Seems that your Vista is confused upward
You can try to clean the registry and operating system in order to avoid the new installation of the OS.
Please use the CCLeaner.I use this tool as well for free and it cleans the registry and other files at the time.
It really helps! But if the BONE still does not work properly then you should try a new installation
Of course, this procedure is radically because the HARD disk should be formatted, but on the other hand, you will get a clean and functional BONE -
always get this when I try to open certain files? any suggestion will be good?
Explorer.exe error of Application the Instruction at "0x7c910ed2" referenced memory at "0x03ede088", the memory could not be 'read' click OK to terminate the program, click CANCEL to debug the program
I also have error of Application Explorer.exe the Instruction "0x7c911689" referenced memory at "0 x 04180000", the memory could not be 'read' click OK to terminate the program, click CANCEL to debug the program
Good.
Not sure what it is yet, but you know what it is not.
I don't know what to think of your permissions problem, but if records are read-only and not meant to be, are you not able to change the folder properties and what happens when you try to do?

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum. The first thing that I would suggest you do is run the System File Checker. The link below will provide information on this tool. You want to run the "SFC/scannow" option You will need your XP CD for this tool in case we need to correct all files.

Explorer.exe error, Normaliz.dll is missing
When I try to start my computer, I get the above error. I get the same when starting in safe mode. The only thing that works is the Task Manager. No desktop icon just a white screen. Where should I start
In Task Manager, you can click file, hold down the CTRL key, and click New task and that opens a command prompt (or the boot safe mode with command prompt).
If you have your copy of normaliz.dll on a USB key which is the D drive (for example), and XP is installed on your C drive, you can then type in something like this:
Copy d:\normaliz.dll c:\windows\system32
When the copying is completed successfully, you will see a message like:
1 file (s) copied
You can always do since if Task Manager:
If you see a message like this:
Explorer.EXE - unable to locate component: this application has failed to start because Normaliz.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
It is in the case Log:
Event type: Information
Event source: Application Popup
Event category: no
Event ID: 26
Description:Application popup: Explorer.EXE - unable to locate component: this application has failed to start because Normaliz.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Start explorer.exe, but the normaliz.dll file. If explorer.exe is not able to run, you will not be able to do much with your system until the replacement of normaliz.dll.
You can click OK for errors and finished up in the Task Manager where you can try to fix it. The message can keep popping up from time to time, while you're fixing it, so just click OK to close the message.
If normaliz.dll is missing, you can copy it from a working system to the system afflicted with the same version of XP and Internet Explorer.
You will get a good copy and put it on a floppy disk, thumb drive etc and copy it to your system plagued by using Manager tasks.
The normaliz.dll file must be located in the c:\windows\system32 folder and therefore is not a Windows file protected, making the Microsoft Support Engineer 'experts' suggest running sfc/scannow, which is just another one of their prosecution of wild goose that will not work, he'll never work and it will only waste your time (and they don't tell you how to run either - if explorer.exe does not start).
Then engaged Microsoft Support Engineer 'experts' will offer to you develop a copy of the file from the XP installation CD you probably haven't, but it is also not on your XP installation CD, and you will have the same problem try their suggestions to 'try' to start in any any Mode without failure, so this will not help you. These "experts" seem to think that the Safe Mode boot or boot will replace magically missing files, but it doesn't.
You also will be able to properly run a browser on the system afflicted to go on Internet download one.
There is a large computer security risk in the normaliz.dll from some website download. The best idea is to get a copy of normaliz.dll from another computer that has the same version of XP and IE and replace it from a USB device (which you can access from the Manager tasks), or using a system that works, you can download one of my SkyDrive.
You can still use the Task Manager to run the system restore and bring it back, but I've never tried and never use SR in all cases.
If you have recently done a bunch of Microsoft updates, you may have also gotten IE8 so maybe that something was wrong here although the normaliz.dll is the same for each version.
When you see the error, you can click beyond it and eventually arrived at your screen background image where you can press CTRL-ALT-DEL to start Task Manager. TM, you can click file, new task, Browse and edit the menu drop-down "Files of type" to all files that you can see all the files in folders.
Go to c:\windows\system32 to see if normaliz.dll is really missing. If the error appears again while browsing, just click OK to get past it. The explorer.exe tries to run and cannot until the missing file is replaced.
If it's the only thing missing, you can get one from a working system of the same type as yours, copy on a Flash DRIVE or a floppy disk and always using TM, to browse, copy and paste it where it should be or you can download one of my SkyDrive.
TM, you can still access your thumb or any other medium the same disk by navigating, copy, paste, etc very well all work. You use TM to navigate to your thumb or floppy disk, copy the normaliz.dll good and then paste it in the c:\windows\system32 folder, where it is supposed to be.
If things get worse, just return to TM and remove the file back where you were in first place and continue troubleshooting.
Using a system that works, you can also download a copy of the file from my SkyDrive and put it on a floppy or USB thumbdrive and networks diskettes for the distressed system. Sandalenet means wear you the system afflicted by hand.
I downloaded a copy of XP Pro SP3 file you need on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).
You can download it and when you do, place a copy of the file in these two folders (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):
c:\Windows\System32
Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can get the file you need here:
https://SkyDrive.live.com/?CID=6a7e789cab1d6f39&ID=6A7E789CAB1D6F39! 311
When you see the files available for download, you can not see the file extension (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc.), but when download you them they will have the right extension.
When you download the file (especially if you use Internet Explorer), when you get a chance to save the file, your browser is unable to save the file with an extension (by example, .exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc) then you will need to manually add the extension appropriate to the file when you download the file before you save it.
You can download the file without the extension, and then rename the file to add the appropriate extension. You do not want to use a file called normaliz when the name of the file should really be called normaliz.dll (if the downloaded file has no extension, you will need to change the name of the file to add the appropriate extension to make it work.
You then put the downloaded files in the correct folders on your system.
That may not solve all your problems, but at least you will be spending this part and we can then fix the rest.

Windows XP explorer.exe keeps hanging, freezing and crashing
Recently installed the new copy of Windows XP SP2 on a new SSD and updated to SP3. My old hard drive is used to store the data now. I also have an external hard drive. I have 4 GB of RAM installed (I know Windows uses only about 3).
The problem I have is that whenever I try to transfer files, transfer files slows down a lot. I could transfer a 60 MB file with extension .db for my external hard drive on the internal storage drive and the file transfer will tell 10 seconds to 20 seconds remaining, and it takes forever. If I cancel the file transfer, sometimes, I'm unable to close windows Explorer, or change files or right click on the files. They can do a text "not responding" appear next to the title. Usually, my Start menu and task bar becomes disabled/inaccessible. I can't click on things, do a right click or use the windows key. Sometimes I have to force quit the explorer.exe, and sometimes it hangs on its own. The start menu disappears and if I have "explorer.exe" Task Manager, it opens a new window of Solution Explorer, but I have to restart to get everything working again. For my SSD, I use Samsung magician and have disabled disabled prefetcher, of indexing and my samsung magician set power settings. I updated the Intel controller for readers, and "Write cache" is enabled in the strategies of discs. I also tried to switch off the Protection of data for explorer.exe running, but it does not work and currently I have DEP on for everything. This suspension occurs sometimes, simply browsing through Explorer. I installed a 3rd party file 'ExplorerXP' Manager but met the same problem there. I also ran chkdsk and Defrag the interal storage disk. All my services are at their default settings. Thanks for the reply. I have only the OEM drive, so I can't run the System File Checker. I have run chkdsk, and everything came back fine. Regarding anti-virus, I was using windows security essentials.
I went ahead and bought a new hard drive. I backed up my files on external hard drive, course deleted my SSD and formatted the embarrassing internal drive. Installed the new hard drive and installed the new OS on the SSD.With the new drive and installed former player, I noticed that still send me in trouble. It works, but is very slow when copy/transfer of large files. I unplugged, unless you know how I could make a use - for example to keep more small files less than 30 MB on it. -
Explorer.exe crashes by clicking the context menu items
Hi guys,.
I have XP Professional SP3 and when I right click on a file and select a voice as 'open' or 'open with' from the context menu, explorer.exe crashes...
The description of the error event is (in Italian):
"Application che ha provocato error explorer.exe, version 6.0.2900.5512, modulo che ha provocato error unknown, version 0.0.0.0, address error 0 x 00000000."
By further information, using the guide in linea e supporto tecnico all' address http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. »
What can I do?
Thank you
I'm sorry that I can't read your beautiful Italian, but problems with a right-click are most often caused by a third-party software that inserts entries in the context menu. You can fix the latter with ShellExView free utility.
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html - ShellExView
Make a right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menus management - http://windowsxp.mvps.org/slowrightclick.htm
Manage entries context menu for folders, drives and Namespace objects - http://windowsxp.mvps.org/context_folders.htmMS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

AppName: explorer.exe
AppVer: 6.0.2900.5512
ModName: kernel32.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.5781

The problem may be caused by a third-party extension. ShellExView can be useful to see what shell extensions have been introduced in the Explorer. Lire read on this topic, then scroll down to download the x 86 (32-bit) or x 64 (64 - bit) version here near http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html
When you run it, click the column of company for sequence entries in alphabetical order. Suppose Microsoft entries are in good faith and focus on others. Is something listed that is useless or unknown? If so, select it and click the Red (on top left) task to turn it off. He may find it easier to disable them all and then reactivate (green area) one at a time and try to explore until the culprit is found.

32-bit Vista Home Premium - Library visual basic runtime C++ crash Explorer.exe
Friends,
By inspecting some messages on the map, I saw this error discussed before, but not in this context.
Background: Running 32 - bit Windows Vista Home Premium (SP2) on an of Gateway GM5664 desktop (2.3 GB AMD Quad - core CPU with 3 GB of RAM). Firefox is the main browser.
All the latest updates Vista suggested by the operating system have been installed successfully (through 14/08/09). McAfee and Dr. Web scanner revealed no problems with malware as of yesterday.
Latest video drivers Radeon Catalyst are installed.Situation: I tried to access the directory where my iTunes library using Windows Explorer. Like Explorer treats files in the appropriate subdirectory, the system crashes with the following message is displayed:
"Error running in explorer.exe. The application requires the execution to terminate in an unusual way. Contact the application support team
For more information. "It indicates the nature of the error as something related to Visual Basic C++I downloaded a couple of freeware registry cleaners and they have corrected many errors of registry, however, the phenomenon persists. When I downloaded
a registry-setting product commercial (Quad Registry Cleaner), after a preliminary analysis, it is referring to several errors more than the freeware version captures, the most common being the empty registry keys. It is better to spend the money to buy a commercial registry cleaner, or are there other solutions to try first.Thank you in advance for your help!

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Registry cleaners are full and complete trash! They do a lot more damage, then they fix NEVER actually! Especially if you use more than one! They are all ready to go to look for competing software, and delete the registry keys! You give a perfect example of the typical scam, a free version, find the errors that only the product of tax can fix! It is complete and total garbage! The first thing you need to do is run the System File Checker. You do this from an elevated command prompt (right click and select run as administrator). then type: sfc/scannow which allow to run and to try and correct problems detected with your system files. But for the love of goodness, fake registry cleaners clear Czar. Believe me, they are nothing but trouble! Locutys of Borg
Resistance is futile
If you don't succeed the first time skydiving probably isn't for you!

A friend gave me your laptop to watch - there edition family vista (64 bit (I think) on it and when you try to run Explorer he says it does not find or access is denied and something about 16 bit / 64 bit (it has been a few days and I'm not memory clearly until what I try again tonight)
"\?? \C:\Windows\Explorer.exe"cannot start or run due to incompatibility with the 64 bit version of windows"
If you try to run a dll / Panel or anything like that, you will get an error message saying that it cannot run some 16-bit process or access denied.
I did a lot of research on Google and nothing someone he said worked - which "everyone" giving full access to the C:\WINDOWS\Registration, executes a command secedit, a sfc/scannow, do a system restore to the point of older, make a new user account, start up in safe mode...
So now I'm pretty stuck. I'm SURE I've seen this problem before with reference to 16-bit etc error messages, but in home edition I do not have the MMC users & groups (had to make new user with password renew then that starts in another environment) or the Security tab of the properties of file/folder for permissions NTFS etc (had to use icacls).
Can someone enlighten us justice on that shiney? : o I don't want to have to redo the entire Setup, I'm sure it is something fixable...
OK, so for those who want to know the real difficulty? --He came from a guy on the forums of TekTips
goombawaho (MIS) 5-13 dec 08:05Before charging, tell him from a prompt CMD (Administrator).
Go in the the C:/windows/system32 folder and type "Rename verclsid.exe verclsid.old.
resetI guess that I didn't that I had seen the name "verclsid.exe" in some of these error messages trying to run things. I looked and saw it was to check the files or something.
Anyway I couldn't rename even in admin console so I started in a different environment and renamed the copy in system32 and syswow64.
Now, I've started and bang things seem to be ok! I guess I should try and replace it with a known working version? That or just give back it.
I doubt that everybody does all c:\windows control total should be too dangerous, right... just? : P I don't have a way to put permissions by default anyway, so Hey. Formatting beats! Now why everyone here didn't it? I knew it would be simple! : p
