Unknown songs

There are a bunch of songs on my Sansa Fuze and I have no idea how they got there - for example, "it's Yours to Keep" of medlar from Japan, or "Alias & Ehren" by Lillian.  I can work on what they were previously charged, and I can remove them if I want to.  However, they don't appear when I connect my player to my PC and open the device Explorer.  All my other albums are here.  They are in the firmware?

Thank you

Edward

You are probably connected to your PC in MSC mode (controlled by settings-> SystemSettings-> USB Mode).

Content added in MTP mode (like the stuff of pre loaded) cannot be seen by a PC when the rocket is connected in MSC mode (and vice versa).

Changing MTP mode, and try to connect again, and you should see all these great pre-loaded tracks are waiting for you to remove...

I'm a mac user, and I recently bought a Sansa Fuze.  I loaded music on the "rocket" and later updated to update firmware to version 2.01.17.  Since the update the firmware, the music on my rocket (excluding the micro SD card, which I removed before updating firmware) appears as an unknown track.  Just below the unknown track is a version of the song with the title and artist.  How can I remove the unknown tracks from my device or otherwise add the title and artist to the track?

I was able to delete the files 'ghost?' through MuCommander.  I have downloaded to download the program (which is free), and it allowed me to examine the files embedded on my Sansa Fuze.

  • Unknown artist - I have read the forums, but most of my problems have to do w /. WAV to CD ripped

    Windows XP

    FUZE 8 gig

    8 GB microsd.

    v02.01.17A

    WMP 11

About 1/3 of my songs come as album artist unknown/unknown and other messages, but all those that I have problems with is torn from my own library of CD in. WAV format.  All the correct info is displayed in WMP.  When I look at the titles of song on my ROCKET, he seems to know the names of the songs, except that there are numbers in front of them.  I tried to rename them in WMP, but could not make it work.  I even tried a program to tag, but he wouldn't let me even choose wav format.

When I hit 'play together' to the list of unknown songs, it toggles through them without playing one of them.  Once again, all the information is correct in WMP, but some of it is not just transfer them to the device.  Acutally, the vast majority of the issues are with the files on the sd card, but I don't think that it is the sd card.

I really want to do this because my wife has a sansa e260 and she has no problem with him.  It would be nice to be able to share accessories, and. Al.

I'd appreciate any help you could give.  It took me about 10 hours to rip/burn/SNYC all my stuff so far.

I would re - pluck them out in .mp3 format. Then, you can use MP3Tag or a similar marking program dedicated to ensure tags are correct. This will avoid the "unknown" to cause you pain.

  • iTunes 12.3.2 separates the tracks that I imported as different albums of an artist.

I'm grabbing at straws for this problem.

I tried to import an album in iTunes, it listed each track separately (artist unknown/song/etc) I used the 'get info' for many of them, their changed to the correct name of the artist and album. In the previous experiments that would have changed all the tracks to be associated with an artist, on the same album, but in iTunes by the artist list there every song it's a clean entry of the artist and the album (a 19 other lists). I have other albums from this artist so I "copied and pasted" info from the artist to make sure that it is a 'perfect' iTunes and nothing changes.

I even checked 'part of a compilation", no change.

I deleted and re-imported, tracks countless times now. I stopped and restarted several times now. I threatened my computer several times now.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Quick response: select all the tracks on the album, file > info (or right-click > news > Details) and give them all a single "album artist", or check the indicator of "compilation" (as in https://discussions.apple.com/message/17670085#17670085).

If they are several CD sets, you will also need to enter the appropriate information in the fields of number of disk.  If they are not a set of multiple CDs that you must always make sure any vacuum or disc number fields are properly defined.

If they are mp3 files are trying to change the version of the ID3 tag, which can cause iTunes to re - write the tags and clarify inconsistencies.  I use iTunes 7.5 (Yes, from 2007) so I can't tell you where it is in later versions.

I had a case of grouping stubborn reality.  The tracks will be re-group in a way that has no meaning when I changed metadata.  Without going into details, I deleted tracks iTunes completely, then add the files and they are all grouped together correctly.

  • How can I separate backup files on my Media Player?

After restoring my computer, I tore the back of files in my Media Player, but they go back in their original format.  Now, they are all listed on 1 album which is, of course, unknown.  I edited all the songs by title and artist, but I can't understand how to separate categories of artists and recover the original album info. How can I move the songs from the album at their own records of each artist?  I use Windows XP and Windows Media Player 11.

OK, first thing to understand that when you rip a cd and it is not recognized, he'll call the 'artist/album/song' (or how ever you have your game settings) as an artist Unknown/Unknown Album / unknown song.
The first thing is so raise your internet connection, and then run your files through windows media player search. Means the faster is to open WMP and drag and drop everything. The upward gaze should start automatically (unless you have disabled this feature), and you should start to notice.
If you have any questions let me know.

  • Music app WIN8 watch extra music that isn't mine, why?

The application of windows 8 music continues to display additional songs that are not in my library. Although these songs are some of the artists that I have on my hard drive, these are songs that I remember save. One thing that is different to the subject of these songs, it's that they have a small icon to the right of these unknown songs, resembling a point between the two sets of parenthesis. At first I thought it was cool but these songs do not play again and causing me to have to hunt down my music to listen to and to avoid these additional songs. Anyone know what it is, why it's happening and how to stop it?

Uncheck the options to sync with the cloud in Xbox Music and automatically
extract metadata in the settings/preferences. You may need to uninstall and
Reinstall the application music Xbox as well.

  • Problem with to keep my songs on the 'unknown' folder in my mp3 player

I know that a lot of people have asked this question, but mine is a little more complicated.

This happened to me several times, but usually attaches.

I pulled all the songs on a CD.  I put them on my mp3 player.  Some songs of this album even find their way into the much dreaded "unknown" file.

I go on my computer and in the album that are the songs in the folder 'unknown '.

I right click on one of the songs that was 'Unknown', I go to 'Properties' 'Summary', 'Advanced' to fill the missing album title, when, to my surprise... She is already there.  The simplequi I'm confused on this the fact that all the spaces are filled, but when I am interested in all of the songs on the album in the music to my computer folder, they first of all the title of the song, name of the artist and the title of the album.  The songs that are in the 'Unknown' folder in my mp3 player have the title of the album under the artist name missing, but is there in the 'summary '.  I tried to change its name, but it does not help.  I used different CD ripping programs as well as programs of marking, but nothing works.

It's seriously annoying me and I asked on several different sites, but people keep making me what I listed alreadt tried.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I would really like to hear them.

I use Windows XP if it is of any importance.

Also, I had these songs on my mp3 player before and they were very good, but they erased when I formatted, so I had to pull them out again, and that's when the problem started.

Have you tried mp3tag with changed parameters of Tags/Mpegs? Seriously?

Somehow these fields must be completed correctly. If they are not, well, the Sansa reads what's in the fields, and nothing else is going to help.

Try to use mp3tag, highlighting all the songs and put in all fields that have problems, like the Album.  Save tags (under file). Then (with all the titles still highlighted) put the correct Album title in the Album and still save.

There are tags out there who do not want to be deleted. You can see what's there with mp3tag - look under the label to see what types of tags are written. Then go to Tags/Mpeg and make sure that you can read and write these tags. Or just check everything.  Then resave the title of the Album.

I got a tenacious album which had EPA and ID3v2.3 tags, and the tags of the EPA have prevented the ID3 tags are fixed.  I had to put mp3tag to read and write the APE tags as well.

  • iTunes could not copy (name of the song) to the iPod (ipod name) because an unknown error occurred (-50)

    Hello
I use the latest version of iTunes and 160 GB iPod Classic. I create playlist and drag and drop the files there, he begins to synchronize the songs (update files to iPod, copy) but after a few songs, it gives me this error:
iTunes could not copy (name of the song) to the iPod (ipod name) because an unknown error occurred (-50)
After clicking 'ok' on the error message, it shows that the iPod got synced up that song (for example songs 2456) but when I try to delete, for example, each piece in the last playlist so I can send all has couse again once I know not where is the last song, it freezes. I can't even click on safely remove the lower right, it does nothing. When I unplug the iPod and reconnect, it shows that the iPod memory is for example 10 gb full couse songs that got synced up to the error, but it shows them as "other". If I wait a few minutes, it automatically deletes and it for example shows 900 MB is full with others. If I wait for each selection to sync, which always occurs within a song at random, but the rest of the songs that I've waited sync appears as usual. But if I try to send new songs, the same error apears after 3-10 songs constantly. But after that I get the error again, the same thing happens in the freezing point. If I restore the iPod and you try to send the songs again he again Gets a thousands of songs, the process repeats...
I restored my iPod, I did on this topic of error checking. I use no bitrate convertion. Yes, I tried sending the same files after restoring the iPod, no error. Any ideas?
    Thank you!

I just use CopyTrans Manager to it. Everything went well.

  • unknown problem using WMP 12 no sound when played the song in the folder but has sound when he played in the player

    Hi all

I have a weird problem using WMP (Windows Media Player v12).  When I double-click a song of in my library, the trail seems to play, but didn't have all the sounds.

However, if I hover over the same path and then click Preview, the pop-up, the track plays with sound.

When the track (s) do not play, all indications show the way to correctly play through of progress ' Now Playing ' screen, but no sound.

In the past, when I clicked on any MP3 file, he would play using WMP.  Now, when I click on an MP3 file, it brings just "Now Playing" and looks LIKE he plays, but no sound.

I have looked & looked for clues as to why it may be of WMP, but I can't understand the problem.  I also searched the Web for 'day' drivers in the Win System Manager, but Win says that pilots are "up to date".

I have rebuilt the DB Library (twice) by removing the DB files in from WMP to a procedure in a WMP support forum. I also went to check the audio device in Device Mgr Win (mine is one on one). Everything seemed ok.  I also changed the devices to "Win by default" to what I think my onboard audio device is called.  I thought that that can do, but it's not.

I was struggling with this since the day of the year.  Please help me solve this problem!

    Hi, Pie,

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

Appreciate your efforts to try to resolve the problem that you have set so far. I guess that is not a problem with the driver that ultimately, the songs are playable using the media player. It could be a corrupted in Windows Media Player framework that is causing the problem. Let's run the Windows Media Player troubleshooting utility that resets all parameters to the player. Check out the link to do so:

  • Cannot copy songs on ipod classic

I recently found errors when you synchronize from itunes for my ipod to 6gen classic to my hp Windows 10.  When I connect to the start via USB, I get the message "of problems with the drive, the analysis to solve." then in itunes after initially connected and recognizing the device, I get errors for most / all of the songs with messages of unknown error-50 and -53.  When I select the device via windows Explorer, I get the message "Please insert a disk in (name of my ipod).

I've performed the manual start and ran smartdata that gives these results:

    Retracts 206

    Reallocation 352

    Sectors pending 2

    Turn on/off hours 504

    start/stop 238

    current temp 32 c

    Temp min 14 c

    temp max 49 c

I want to avoid the scan to fix the solution unless its my only hope - I had problems with the other USB storage after that

    This ipod is still salvagable?

See corrupted iPod Classic. Overall stats doesn't seem too bad. A restore DFU or reformatting may be necessary to release the waiting areas. Make sure that Windows 10 is fully updated as some recent versions have raised false alarms that require analysis and difficulty when she is not necessary.

  • How can I sort by song when searching?

    Hello

When I search in my itunes library, the view shows only results sorted by album. As I buy songs quite often not in an album, but as a simple, most of the albums are not available, where the titles are being sorted by "unknown album". It's quite strange.

Do you know how I can change the view of the kind to show me the titles just as a simple list?

    Thank you!

Found the solution on my own. On the left side, you need spend from the view of "Recently added" to "songs".

Then the filter on the right side applies to the creation of the left side. Kind of not really intuitive, but somehow, it makes sense.

  • An unknown error occurred (-69)

I have an ipod classic and for months whenever I sync my ipod, I received an error in the sense of "an unknown error has occurred (-69)" and synchronization stops.  A second message appears listing a real song and the same error code.

I use Windows 10, I recently updated iTunes and my ipod is also updated.  I have also reset the ipod then now there is nothing on that because I can not synchronize.

    Would appreciate any help.

    Thank you.

iTunes needs to validate your payment method. Enter the CVV, where is the little box.

    Hello

AFAIK this peacekeepers of error message by using the CD - R disc.
Check if you can burn the CD - RW? On my laptop I can burn files on CD - RW iTunes correctly.

    By the way:
If your laptop has the reader of the TS-L632 CD/DVD then you need to update the firmware as suggested here in this article from Toshiba

  • Unable to play the song in iTunes. Get a msg "original file is not found, you want to locate.

Unable to play the song in iTunes.  When I double click on a song title, I get a msg "original file could not be found is located."  You want to locate? I click on locate, it then takes me to the music library folder that displays a list of the itunes library by date files.  If I click on one, it then brings back me to my list of songs.  I then double click on the song, and then get the msg "original msg was not found.  I can play the song in my folder to \My eMusic.  I think he's using Windows Media Player to play the song out of this folder.  Any help would be appreciated.

Update: after a lot of research and trial and error efforts, I solved the problem.  For reasons unknown, the songs have an incorrect file path.  Will change the path on each song.
