  Hi, this may have already prepared before, but...

  I have a white envelope with what looks like a blackberry symbol on it and a red number 1 in the top right corner it. I looked on my blackberry messages and SMS, emails and nothing appears and it has not disappeared.

  If no one comes with the answer, go to your Messages folder, click on the menu button (the BB button to the left of the trackpad), and then select the display folder.  One by one, select each folder until you come to the one with the message in it.

  That could take a while... you might want to wait until someone tells you it is.

  I tried to open a link via Twitter yesterday when my phone got no signal. I was offered the chance to record the request until at the latest. I now have a symbol with the browser icon and a '1' next to it on my phone, but I am unable to find a way to locate the saved link and remove the icon from my home page.

  It's a push browser message if it is blue.
  If it's yellow, it's a WAP push message.

  1. open your main message folder.
  2. press the Menu button (on the left of the trackball).
  3. click on view files.
  4. click on browser Push (or WAP Push Messages) messages.
  5. read or remove the messsage.

  I use 2 blackberry blod (9700). I have HT about 25.5 MB of free memory on my phone n it keep telling me that my memory is full, do I do. Also I keep seeing a symbol of clock wise making impossible any thing to function

  What version of operating system you have on your device, is it OS5 or OS6, you need to uninstall some applications if you're under OS6 for Bold 9700 doesn't have enough memory to run the OS 6. Also have you activated Memory Cleaner on your device?  Check Options > Security > Memory Cleaner, if it is enabled then disable it, because it also cause freezing and clock.

  Hello, I had my blackberry for about 2 months and last week, a symbol appeared on my home screen, and I don't know what it is or how to get rid of! Its where your message symbols disappear, but it is a globe with a 1 next to it. Have checked the manuals and looked on the internet but cannot find an answer! Can someone help me! Thank you. X

  It's a push browser message.

  Open your main messages folder > Menu > view folders > look in the browser or Wap push files, push to find and delete the message.

• Unknown status of blackBerry Smartphones

  I have a BlackBerry Storm and I do not know what you the how to display status indicators. At the top, in the Middle, under the date and time, I have a 5 (this number was originally a 1, but it has now been incrementing for awhile), followed by a blue square. To inside the blue box is what looks like a tiny white f (sometimes looks like a small t with a red & white on circle to the right - there's a f, with a red circle that covers the top of the page offer of right of the letter).

  I looked in the manual online and updated road guide and do not see anything like that. I called Verizon tech support, and they have no idea what it is. Please note: this isn't an indicator of an e-mail, voicemail, SMS, etc - I know not what they are, and this isn't one of them.

  Hello on previous blackberry that I invoked by pressing the green phone to find my number. He now says unknown number next to my number:

  It is over a week old and the phone is completely registered.

  I get a message that seems to come from my Exchange Server. The text is the following:

  "This message is used to carry data between your BlackBerry handheld and a home server. Please do not delete, move, or respond to this message-it will be processed by the server. »

  There is also a file "FTE. DAT' attached.

  I get these at least once a day & just delete them. My device is set up wrong?

• Help with unknown status indicator blackBerry Smartphones

  I looked everywhere for an answer to what is the indicator of status and have not yet found. I have a status indicator that bears a number 1 in front of a circle with a left down, arrowhead and a red Asterix. I'm sure it is some kind of download and 1 shall indicate 1 something. But I'll be darn if I can understand what it refers is need to download. It is not the messaging or media that I can tell. You can provide any help will be greatly appreciated

  Woo-Hoo - finally found, I went to the downloads folder and it is that the Blackberry Apps World has had an update. It is purely by selecting the program and he came to say that an update was available. Once I downloaded it, the status indicator is off.   It could be one of the four solutions... Try these:
  1. make sure that you set your own code to the Dialer phone screen > Options > smart dialing.
  Set your country Code in this format: "+ xx" where xx = country code. Some countries have two or three-digit country Codes. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
  * In the United States, the value of this country as '+ 1' Code and place your code in the appropriate box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).

  2. in the same place, change the length of National number for the number of digits corresponding to your country (since some countries have less than 10 as that set by default in the BB). Check out the total numbers, less country code. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
  * For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (more than 3 for the country code). You must enter '8 '.

  3. you probably have "Content Protection" located on your address book.
  OS5 devices: look at the Options > Security > General settings. Scroll down to the content Protection > include addresses = no
  OS6 devices: Home screen > Options > Security > encryption > uncheck encrypt.

  4. go to Options on your device > Security Options > encryption > include contacts the value 'No '.

  Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  My phone is set to English, but I sometimes need special characters for the Spanish and the French.  In my old Treo, they were part of the symbols. Do I need to download or they are already on the phone?

  They are already part of your device, you can use them by pressing the key and roll the trackball, it will toggle through the different options of accents for this character.

  The best thing to do is to search the files on your phone to the message of guilty.

  While on your home screen, click the Messages icon and then press the menu button and select folder Vew.  Scroll through each folder and look for the message.  A couple of obvious to try would be Messages Browser and WAP Push, but make sure to look in each folder, if you don't see it in them.
