Unwanted free transform bounding box.

Working in a multi layers document as I click on an object (to get to correct the layer to allow me to change it).  and use the move tool to move the object. It is a fairly basic operation, I get a free transform bounding around the object requires me to do a transformation. He ceases to me cold. If I click outside of the box of boundng get a dialogue-Do you want to apply the nymph? move the object - I click on say the probe tool to get "not trapped" and I get (want to appy transformation.) I have no idea how to solve this BTW is in Photoshop >

Hi joancqx,

You must uncheck the "Show transform controls" checkbox in the options bar.

Kind regards

  • Transformation/Bounding Box Bug Illustrator CC 2014 18.1.0

    Hi guys,.

I made a small screencast here, anyway the bug is simple to explain. For some reason any transform/bounding box disappears on simple objects, but behaves normally on multiples and groups.

Such a small thing but very annoying.

    see you soon

    Dave

    (Illustrator CC 2014 18.1.0 - OSX 10.8.5 MBP i7 2.66GHx | 8 GB of RAM)

No fixed soon Adobe Illustrator ?

    Dave,

    There are a few options.

The bug of live Rectangle that is limited to the MAC versions from 10.7 and 10.8, but not of 10.9 (Mavericks) or 10.10 (Yosemite). If all goes well, the bug will be fixed soon.

Thus, a switch for the Mavericks or Yosemite with a reinstall might be the way to solve it here and now.

To get around it, in each case, it is possible to develop direct Rectangles to get the normal old shaped rectangles or Pathfinder > unit, or use the scale tool or the free transform tool.

A more permanent way round that is to create normal old shaped rectangles, after running the free script created by Pawel, see this thread with download link:

  • Free transform bounding forming around an empty space, not the active layer.

I don't know if it is a bug in PS or if I have some weird settings, I can not understand. I searched for the answer everywhere and can't find it.

    Here is what happens:

I chose a layer, I hit cmd + T to transform free layer. Usually, would the bounding box around the object in the layer, I hit cmd + T, but he chose some other empty place instead. As if there was something else there.

Nothing is selected (I even hit Ctrl + D to make sure that everything has been disabled and I wasn't trying to transform a selection)

It is not just the keyboard shortcut (if I go into editing / transformation / scale, it does the same thing)

Any layer I'm on, he chooses the same pristine "process."

I think that I have a weird setting, I can't figure out how to turn off! Any ideas?

    Hello, pls check these things:

-When you have the object selected in the tools Panel tool, in the control bar is the option 'display the transform control"off? If it is enabled, the bounding box will be visible around the object on the layer, even if there is no selection, and they are almost not visible. If you think that there is an empty place, you can first try to remove it (Ctrl / Cmd + A + cancelled)

-did you use the "Crop" tool on this document, without the option 'Remove the pixel crop' on? In this case, the content of the layer exceeds the window.

-pls check the channel Panel if you are on a specific channel, e.g. one channel Alfa and not on the colors.

I don't know if you can be on one of these situations. Another test you can do is make a new file and check if the problem is still there, that way you can test if the problem is the specific document or a general problem.

  • 7.5.2 free transform ID and text boxes

Help please. I must be missing something or a pref.

IDCS4-> Text defined in a block of text.
Use the free transform tool to rotate the text block
and the text rotates with the framework.

IDCS5.5-> Text defined in a block of text.
Use the free transform tool to rotate the
block of text, but the text does not turn with the framework.

I am looking for CS4 behavior when using the free transform on blocks of text tool.

I think there must be a preference or something simple, I'm missing. But for the life of me I can't find it. The search of these forums is nothing.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Mac OS 10.6.8/ID 7.5.2

    So, I thought about it.

I used to hit... a... then e on the keyboard of the Illustrator years use. (Direct Selection tool, then the free transform tool)

So if you have the active (white arrow) direct Selection tool, select the text block, and then select the free transform... only the frame turns tool. Text will stay perpendicular to the page.

If you have the selection tool (the black arrow) assets, select the text block, and then select the free transform tool... text and image will be rotated.

This is new for ID CS5.x. with IDCS4 it makes no difference what selection tool allows you to select the text block.

  • Free transform a placed Image

I use InDesign for Windows 7 CC.

After this last update, I can no longer turn freely no matter what.  When I place an object, only the bounding box is transformed and not the image that it contains.  Before this update I could press CTL T to free transform them both at the same time, but that no longer works.  I tried to look in the menus and shortcuts on my keyboard, but I can't find the option more.  Change something?  Object > transform > scale brings up a popup that I am certainly not.

    Thanks for the help!

E is the default value for the free transform tool. You can replace through keyboard shortcuts > tools

  • elements mobile with a layer - option 'free transform' in Photoshop Elements 7

    Hello

I hope someone can help out and answer my questions. Thank you.

    Description of the task:

I want to create a tool that is able to visualize the position of the pieces on a game board. Right now I use Photoshop Elements 7.

I think the following would be appropriate:

2 layers, the base layer would show the game board and the pictures of the parts would be on the second layer. If I try to do with Photoshop Elements 7 then every time when I insert an image of a coin, a new layer is created. I don't need a layer according to the schema. Yes, we could reduce a layer afterwards. But it is not so comfortable in this way.

In addition, the pictures of the parts must be mobile on the game board. There is the 'free transform' option in Photoshop Elements 7, but only one single element (one piece) is mobile thereafter. All the inserted elements should be mobile.

So my question: is - this doable in Photoshop Elements 7? If this is not the case, what version of Photoshop Elements would be appropriate or what software do I need?

Select a layer in the layer stack, and then select the move tool from the upper part of the tool palette. You can then drag the room around and use the handles of the bounding box to wide angle. Hold down the SHIFT key to keep the proportions.

  • How to create a bounding box in Photoshop CS6?

    Hello, group.

The other day, I saw an Adobe web page that showed a picture whose part was a sheet inside. The sheet was locked in a bounding box. However, it seems unlikely that the person working on this image needed (where this picture was concerned) for the text tool. If you need to place a block of type within a bounding box, you simply select the text tool and drag. This creates a bounding box.

What of those occasions when no text is at issue, but simply a physical object in the picture? How to create a bounding box for this?

Thank you for all the helpful tips.

    S.G.

You can also use the move tool, with "Show transform controls" checked in the options.

  • Reset bounding box

In versions before 2015 Illustrator, choose object > transform > reset the rectangle encompassing would reset the bounding box so that she was right, even if an object had been turned. Now, if the shape is created with a basic shape tools, as the polygon, this command does nothing, it is not correct the bounding box.

Does anyone know how to reset the bounding box on forms of base in CC?

It seems that we are stuck with it if we want to have forms of living. If you go to object > shape > expand your shape, you can reset the bounding box. But if you then go object > shape > convert shape, the bounding box jumps to angle.

Thus, the choice is currently Live forms or reset the bounding boxes, but not both. That answer your question?

    (Time for a feature request!)

  • Hi there my lasso tool and the Rectangle tool, become free transform as well at the time wherever I'm going to move the selection. I don't know how to get rid of the annoying free transform tool. Please help me :)

    Screen Shot 2015-05-15 at 10.19.30 am.png

With the tool move selected, you could uncheck Show transform controls in the options toolbar.

Another way to move the contents of the selection is rather than from the selection of the tool tool move you could press the Ctrl (windows) or command (mac) and move the contents of the selection and should not show the bounding box.

  • Free transform tool does not.

I use 13 elements on an iMac OSX 10.10.3.The free transform tool does not work properly when I try to put a picture. for example, if I type in 140% ' and tick 'constrain proportions', I think a single Watch '140' box and the other box shows 14% ", or sometimes, '120'." It's very frustrating. anyone has any ideas about this problem?

    Thanks for any help.

    Try to reset the tool.

Is there a way to disable the free transform on objects? It is useful sometimes, other times it's more boring, especially when I work with small dots marking the places on the map.

    Thanks for any input.

    Marcia,

What happens in CC2014 if you

    (A) use the group selection tool (selection direct tool with the sign + (see the dialog box),)

    or

    (B) first Alt/Option click the object with the direct Selection and ClickDrag tool with her?

I'm afraid that you have come across the Rectangle Live bug, which is limited to MAC versions starting from 10.7 and 10.8, but not 10.9 (Mavericks), see this thread linked below.

  • When the bounding box and driveways handles?

Today, I had updated Illustrator 2014 a.1 and I realized that the bounding box disappeared...

It works great when two or more objects are selected, but for a single object it just disappeared...

How do I get it back?

    Vectorminator,

If this applies to the Rectangles Live, you may need to wait for a fix, but you can create normal old shaped rectangles and have the normal behavior of return; You can use the free script created by Pawel, see this thread:

    https://forums.Adobe.com/thread/1587587

It may be a good option to have in any case.

  • How can I get the default sequences bounding box?

I try to get the bounding box for a film to be on by default for selected images in the timeline panel, but I can't seem to find out how. where is this preference or this setting for this? FCP7 has this and I cannot understand how do in PP. I hate having to click on the transformation icon everytime I want to scale or to place something in the program monitor.

What you want is to emulate the FCP Image + wireframe. As you probably already know that does not exist in Premiere Pro. You will have to make a feature request for this specific feature: http://www.adobe.com/go/wish
