  • How can I block messages unwanted popup Flash?

I'm browsing without Flash installed. When I go to certain sites or pages in some sites, a small pop up icon in the upper left corner of the window. The icon invites me to install flash. The icon can be closed, but after many repetitions becomes boring. Is there a way to block those annoying icons? If this isn't the case, Mozilla will consider adding a device ensuring the control of the user of this icon?

It's a built-in notification. Could you try changing one or both the following preferences:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste Miss and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference plugins.notifyMissingFlash from true to false.

    (4) If you don't want notifications for other plugins, double-click the preference plugins.hideMissingPluginsNotification to false to true.

I think that should hide the menu drop-down but always show notification plugin icon so that you can look at issues if necessary page by clicking on it. Does it work?

  • Refresh a form Popup (with a .jsff) region

    Hi guys,.

First of all, I use JDEV 11.1.1.6.

I take a long time with a problem that should be simple, at least in theory. I have to spend, because, I ask your help.

    My question is:

I have a table and each show has a column that opens a pop-up window. This popup was conducted using a region that uses a jsff file. For each line, when I open the popup data presented to the user should be the data associated with this line. The data of table control has child filed by association/viewlink. The two children are presented in the pop-up window, is another table, and the other is presented as a form.

When the change in the row in the main table and open the pop-up, the pop-up window table is updated to new values, but form is not updated, maintains the last value inserted by the user.

I tried partial triggers but without success.

    Any thoughts?

If my English was confused, please tell me to try to explain the situation in a way less confusing.

  • Popup of local storage that cannot be granted or denied

Computer of my mother who is an iMac running the most recent version, has begun to show this popup last night when she goes on shockwave.com to play games.  It says something about the local storage and gives you the ability to allow or deny.  (Sorry I don't have a screenshot, but I'm on my computer after working with him for hours).  The problem is that you can not click or either allow or refuse - he won't do anything.  I tried the tab options and it would move but nothing if you hit enter or SPACEBAR.  The only way out is to leave the site.

I don't really know a lot about Adobe Flash so bear with me please.  She uses Firefox, but the same thing happened in Safari when I went to shockwave.com.  He arrived in Chrome at the moment.  The computer is almost new and I checked and the last version of Flash has been installed.  Just to try it, I uninstalled Flash and reinstalled and exactly the same thing happened when I went to this site.  She says she's only seen on this Web site.

I have Firefox configured to always ask before running it.  I changed it so that it always runs for this particular site, but the popup was always there.  I researched and researched and exhausted all the options I can think.  It is not just a matter of the popup is annoying, is the fact that it will not go away, or allow you to click on what it is about that.  My elderly mother has very limited abilities and understanding when it comes to technology and online security is a huge concern.

Does anyone have ideas about what could possibly help?  I appreciate all the help and assistance.  Thank you.

Yes, it's a symptom of our anti-clickjacking too careful logic.  This happens usually when something animated moves behind the dialog box, or sometimes, it's just specific resolution/zoom-level.

Unfortunately, as a browser plug-in, it's really hard to say whether or not we are above the thing on the screen, and we do not accept clicks on the dialog boxes for security unless we know that you actually see them and not other thing (for example "click here to win! 1. '') superimposed on top of it.

Honestly, in 2016, restrict the ability of content to store data locally is not really buy you something meaningful in terms of privacy and security.  If you want to avoid persistent tracking chips, your browser's private browsing mode is much, much more efficient, and we pay tribute to her.  We also clear the Flash Player local shared objects when you clear cookies from your browser (to the extent that your browser tells us that you have done this).  Aversion for Flash Player local shared objects is largely based in the superstition at this stage.  The ability for marketers to create followed resilient, persistent is much more powerful in native HTML and JavaScript.  Feel free to look through my feeding activity to find similar posts, where I pointed the academic research on the subject, etc.

    So, here's my pragmatic recommendation:

Go to settings > Flash Player > storage and choose allow sites to record information on this computer

Where you do not want websites to save persistent information, use the private browsing mode.

    This accomplishes two things:

-Content stores data locally, while everything seems to work normally to the content.

-Flash Player nor the content will throw errors or permission dialog boxes

-All data is stored in a temporary location, which is destroyed when you exit your private browsing session

This gives you the best possible user experience and the best defense against tracking in Flash and HTML/JavaScript.  If you are in the business to uniquely identify people, it is a general practice at this stage to use all the technologies available for the redundancy and resilience, including techniques of both local fingerprinting that on the server side, so just to "solve" the Flash Player vector by disabling LSO does not significantly help.

Unfortunately, the threat of clickjacking requires us to implement solutions less than optimal and the decade or so of experience with very smart people working on it shows that it is a game of whack-a-mole.  It is best to avoid scenarios where the dialog box gets jumped by adding fields to the trust list, or simply by allowing access to the total of just.  The ideal solution would be to move these to the browser native user interface dialog boxes, but which requires buy-in from all browser vendors involved, etc..

  • Got a popup to install the new version of Adobe Updater - is legitimate, or software malware?

Auto Adobe Updater wants to install a new version of itself.  Does not say what Adobe product, it relates to.  Everything I have on this laptop are the freebies - Reader, Flash, etc.  I don't know if there is an update, or several, one for each product.  I usually trust these popups, so I said 'yes '.  Then, I searched for "Adobe" C drive and found nothing newer than March 3.  My Updater version is still 5.  Nothing else happened, but while studying online, I found an update 'critical' to the reader was announced last month, and I have not yet.  So, I got manually 8.2.1, Reader then installed 9.3.1 later instead.  Called Adobe to see if these updates to the Updater are distributed, and they said «we do not support free software, go to the forums»  Therefore, even if my version is still 5, updater, never up to date me for an updated critical and I have no new files, I can trust that this popup was not for the distribution of malware?  Someone else do this popup?

If you set up Adobe Reader to receive automatic updates, then it is this update (5 or 6) that opens like this.  Unfortunately, it doesn't tell you what update is about to download; only after download, it tells you what it installs.

However, your attention is well founded; not sure if this is a legitimate process, or some kind of malware.

Assuming you are using Windows, open the Task Manager and check if it really is the Adobe Updater that runs (AdobeUpdater.exe or AdobeUpdaterInstallMgr.exe).

    Hello
I want to ask about the Completion list - is possible to select the first line in the list by default (as the old style list completion)? If I typed in SQLD v 2.1 and typed the name column and in the completion list was that a column name, the name of this column has been selected. I pressed Enter only.
Now, I have to use the arrow for the selection of list items.
    Petr

Automatic selection has been disabled because no there was no other way to enforce entry, which means 'new line' (despite the unwanted popup completion list). If you explicitly call completion, then self-selection is there, but I must say that you have an extra touch anyway. I'm open to suggestions how to improve it.

  • Cannot print a pop-up or pop-under window

.. When the popup is really helpful, as in "boarding!

The popup was not a button 'print '. In addition, a right-click on the pop-up window is not a PRINT option, and not being a popup, there is no menu either.

This is a serious omission by FF.

You can use {Ctrl + P} to print in this type of situation.

Regarding the absence of a menu item print from the context menu, Firefox has never had a. But there are a few extensions that add to this context menu item. I use this one:

  • How spam can be removed before it reaches the Inbox

Every day, I have several messages that Mozilla brand as of spam and that I scored as spam/junk mail. How these unwanted emails can be stopped to reach my Inbox, and creation of background image? In all cases when Mozilla think these emails are unwanted there was correct.

    Thank you for your help.
    Respectfully,.
    Earl

    You have two options
Under account settings / unwanted settings moving to a junk folder that you can automatically empty all day. Gives you a chance to save a spam post wrongly labeled

You can setup in options / advanced /junk what you would do for all accounts. (who do not have individual settings.

  • How to stop messages from Firefox on homescreen?

Since the last upgrade of Firefox for Android, I get unwanted popup messages at the foot of my browser home page "Awesome." messages pretending to be useful, but they are just cheese ads for something or other, for example "Hey, if you want x, you must check out there!" etc. I use Firefox because it cuts with a blocker of advertising-advertising on the internet most. But only the ad blockers stop ads with Web sites. These ads seem to be streamed from Mozilla. They make me angry. I want that they turned off.
