  If you use a dial-up connection, then the line is indeed already used with the internet.  You can do this through the internet, and you may not use this same line while it is used for the internet.  You need an analog (non-digital) line separated with a fax modem or (one in your system) be bound separately or you need to switch back if it is a good analog line and you have everything you need to fax.   1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

  2. What is the number of brand and model of the laptop?

  I suggest to use the external keyboard and check if all the keys are working properly.

  Also use the keyboard on the screen and check if it works.

  Please click on the first " Finder " icon on the dock (toolbar below) on your screen, in the left panel, you will see an option, click on 'Applications' on it.

  Under the present, you should be able to see Lightroom if it is properly installed.

  I just got an Elitebook 1040 G1 running win7 64 bit and have been installing all the necessary things I'll need for daily use. Out of curiosity I tried to get the reader of fingerprints, put up just to have as an option if I wanted to. After installing digital persona and the pilot of validity many times to try to resolve this, my laptop still does not recognize the fingerprint reader.

  Action taken:

  • Uninstalled and reinstalled several times valid drivers
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled digital persona(plus updates)
  • Checked to see if biometrics are in Device Manager and recognized by the machine; which they are

  Any ideas what might solve this problem?

• HP pavilion dv6 fingerprint reader - 3163cl does not work anymore

  I loaded updates and the fingerprint reader does more.  in a possible solution using the Recovery Manager looking at my screen has no drivers and reinstall the applications.  There s/w and h/w separately.  under s/w, there is a Digital Persona Finger Print Reader for consumer in New Brunswick.  Not quite sure what exactly where to look the version, but I think it's the 5.10.175a version.  so - I'm not seeig HP Simple pass Ud Orit 2911 s/w.

  Thank you.  I've identified the Digital Persona Fingerpoint drive under the requests of s/w of Recovery Manager.  However, I thought that I would have a chance to uninstall it from there, and I hit reinstall it.  I then went through the restart and the fingerprint reader worked.  I wonder if I should do it again, because I had not uninstalled?

  I had to change my hd recently and I installed an SSD in my laptop. I also had to install W7 and I lost all my drivers and original software.

  I was able to get most of HP, but do not have the drivers for the fingerprint reader. The installation always stop. Maybe I forgot to install something before, or maybe I did it wrong.

  I understand that you are looking for the pilot of fingerprints for the computer, because the fingerprint reader does not work. I can certainly help you! Choose a driver to download and install, based on the operating system of your computer:

  Windows 8, 8.1 - fingerprints of validity sensor driver

  Windows 7 - fingerprints of validity sensor driver
