Update Acrobat to 9.0--> 9.5.5 Yosemite

Hello-

Attempting to run the patch update to version 9.5.5, when the installation program allows you to "Install update" it pop - under a modal Panel for "Install Extras" and waits for a response to this group; Unfortunately I can't bring this sign in the foreground because the update panel is more high, so I can't click on continue to unlock the installation process.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Thanks in advance.

I have exactly the same problem with my new computer. There are downloadable programs on the Adobe FTP site, but I could not properly use them...
The way I solved the problem, it's that I copied the entire folder Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro to my old mac (which was already at 9.5.5) then replace the folder recently installed (I think it's 9.3.x) on my new mac. Worked like a champ!

The other thing I noticed, but not tried, but that after that failure of the attempt to update to 9.5.5 in acrobat Pro Help menu, you can hit repair the Installation of Acrobat. In this way, in that it allows you uncheck the formidable plugin Adobe PDF viewer safari and click on continue. But I was too lazy to try to rerun the update because it takes forever to download the update.

This is the FTP site. You may have more luck!

    Hi ChiefLar ,

I would like to inform you that you're not subscribe to the Acrobat DC as is the latest version of the Acrobat program & as you XI Acrobat Pro & Cloud membership for photoshop & lightroom, you keep getting the message to upgrade to Acrobat Pro DC (latest version). If you have Acrobat Pro XI subscription, then you can also install the latest version that is Acrobat Pro DC.

If you XI Acrobat pro as serialized product then you must buy Acrobat Pro DC as improved version.

    Hello

I see that you have a subscription active illustrator with adobe under the enamel even as for the forums.

Acrobat does not come with illustrator, so if you have not used the trial for acrobat, the application will ask you to update and use the trial.

  • Creative cloud wants to update Acrobat DC

Recently, the application manager of the clouds Creative started inviting me to "Update" Acrobat Pro DC.

    acobat_dc.png

I do not have a license/subscription for Acrobat Pro DC - my license is for Acrobat Pro XI. (Note that I can not uninstall Acrobat Pro DC.)

By clicking on the Start button to update gives me this warning:

    acobat_dc2.png

I certainly don't want to do that, but I can't find anything to prevent the application of creative cloud manager of telling me that I should update.

Can someone point me to a way to disable/ignore the application creative cloud to suggest to update a product that I don't have?

    Thanks for all the ideas...

    Hi all

Based on feedback from users that we set the dialog box in the new Cloud Desktop App creation 3.6 v to show Acrobat as "Try" rather than "Update" If you do not have right to his subscription.

Please update the desktop creative cloud to the latest application and you will be notified is out of date for the products that you are not allowed to.

  • "Update of the server does not" when you try to update Acrobat 9 Pro

I just installed Acrobat 9 Pro on my desktop and on my laptop. I was able to download and install the latest updates for the copy on my desktop computer (so that it is now version 9.3.0), use help > check updates.

When I try the same command on my laptop, I get and error message "update server is unresponsive, which means that it may be offline at the moment, or the Internet settings or firlewall may be incorrect. Please try again later. "I tried several times yesterday and today with the same error. The message appears immediately; apparently not yet actually try to connect.

I disabled my firewall and antivirus and always get the same result. I uninstalled then reinstalled Acrobat and still get the same result.

I looked online on Adobe.com to see on the download and installation of updates manually, but it is difficult for me to say what updates, I need. Some are for other languages and some are 64-bit, but I have Windows 7 32 bit.

A call to technical support was no help. The agent seemed to think because I installed the 9.0 version I needed only one English updated appearing on the page of download under 9.0, not updates later... And he said that Adobe recommends manually installation of updates of the site Adobe.com rather than use the control for the control of updates (?).

In any case, anyone know what might cause this problem with the adobe update? Maybe I need to reinstall the update (where is it?).

    OR

Can someone tell me who the updates listed on the page to dowload Acrobat should I install manually to bring my camera to date?

[Running Windows 7 32-bit on both machines]

    Thank you.

With all the respect that is due to the Bill, which is completely not the point of the question... you SHOULD be able to use the automatic update to easily update your Adobe products.  I have this talk frankly because I knew the incredible frustration of trying in vain to update my Adobe Creative Suite on my laptop.  I am assuming that you are trying to update Acrobat on a laptop and not on a desktop computer (not didn't have the same problems with my desktop PC).  The Merry is actually quite simple, just follow these steps:

    1. open the network and sharing Center
    2. click on change adapter settings
    3. right click on the map to Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport, and then click on disable.
    4. open Adobe Reader and help > check for updates

And voila, updates to the Adobe Updater.  Enjoy!

  • After the last update, Acrobat no longer works

Yesterday, the update came Adobe say he had some updates to install. After you install the updates, Acrobat now comes up with a fatal error. He said something to the effect that acrobat was unable to load the DLL from its base, and I also got an error saying:

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000022). Click OK to close the application.

I reinstall CS4 after failure of hard drive and everything works - photoshop, Indesign - EXCEPT Acrobat 9 Pro. I am running Yosemite on iMac. I reinstalled Acrobat from the disks, but when I open I get that Word to Acrobat in the finder without other menus - the application does not open. As a first step, I get an error message.

Acrobat has detected there are missing components

    Adobe Pdf Finder

    Adobe PDF Viewer plug.

What is the cause? If yes where can I get.

I tried to uncheck the boxes, but no difference.

Is this or an activation problem

    Hi Kate,.

Acrobat 9 is not supported on OS of Yosemite.

    You could face compatibility problems.

  • Can I manually update Acrobat Pro XI of 11.0.0 to 11.0.17

I have three computers HP laptop with Windows 7 Pro 64, and each has a unique full version of Adobe Acrobat Pro XI 11.0.0.

When I try to update a laptop (help, Check for Updates), it brings up a window saying there is an update available, past through the download process, but in the end gives me error 1328.  I removed the program (Control Panel, uninstall a program) and reinstalled.  I tried updates again.  Same error message.

I tried a second laptop, and it does not yet to the top of the window saying there are updates available, but a window appears in the taskbar indicating the download of Acrobat updates.  When I click on the pop - up it disappears, there is no progress download and software window does not update.

I have not yet tried third laptop.

Can I update to version 11.0.0 directly to 11.0.17 of this Web page:

Installers for all products supported also appear on the pages of the product (with the exception of the full Acrobat) download. You can download and manually install these products as follows:

    Adobe - Acrobat: for Windows

Or, what I need to download updates for the 11.0.01 version, first and then cross updates one at a time?  Or can I still use one of these links I do not have the listed version?  So, what to do if since version 11.0.0 is not listed?

    Thank you for your help.

I'm pretty sure that updates to 11.x are complete and you don't need older versions. Unlike 9.x where you would have to run at day of 20 or more separate updates.
