Update error Code 8024200B & unable to update Wireless Keyboard 800 - keyboard does not work

I have win7 pro 32-bit. Some updates fail.
Currently updates for keyboard and mouse USB MS they return the error Code 8024200 B, for which I am unable to find an explanation.
It is a problem that I bought a Wireless Desktop 800, and the keyboard does not work.
I tested the material on my Win7 32 bit system and it works fine.
The device is detected and enabled, etc. of thin batteries
There is no drivers for 800 system, so I was hoping that the update would solve the problem, if I could install it.
Any ideas on the error code, or how to solve the problem of keyboard?
Thank you
* Problem solved. These updates succeeded at the 5th attempt - and I was able to install 'Microsoft mouse & keyboard Centre' that got my keyboard working *.
* I'll leave the rest of my response below in case it would be useful to all. **

Thanks for the reply Fazil.

1. There is no way to 'connect' from the keyboard to the computer. I insert the usb bluetooth dongle and it works for the mouse but not the keyboard.
2. the updates are the two option, without numbers KB:
-Other hardware - Microsoft Hardware Microsoft USB keyboard
Mouse Microsoft USB - other hardware - Microsoft Hardware
3 update error message for both simply put the Code 8024200 B. There seems to be no documentation for this error code.
All security updates I ran & updated ok.
I tried various things - stop programs anti-virus etc.
4. This is the first time I tried to run the mouse wireless 800 & keyboard on this PC. I checked on my other laptop running exactly the same OS and that's fine, this isn't a hardware problem.
I tried fixit, who found nothing wrong.
In Device Manager, it shows the two devices (keyboard and mouse) twice, as on the other laptop.
Bluetooth > open settings Options are set to "enabled" and in the material it shows "HP Integrated Bluetooth Module" and "Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator.

I have a combination and connected mouse microsoft wireless keyboard to my laptop.  The mouse recently 'died' and replace the batteries with new Energizer batteries did not help.  I bought a new Logitech mouse and installed the new USB connector and the mouse worked flawlessly.  However, the wireless keyboard does not work now.  If I reinstall the 'old' or the original USB, the wireless keyboard connector works fine.  The new mouse does not work with the original USB connector.  So now I have two USB connectors that are connected to the computer to make the functional keyboard and mouse.  Is there a solution to eliminate one of the USB connectors?  I realize that the brand of the mouse and keyboard are different.  This is the problem and if so can it be fixed?

    Hi ECJ-10,

Well, you answered your question yourself. They are different products, so you need 2 USB receivers.

The alternative is to get a replacement of microsoft mouse if it is still under warranty, they usually do.

    Hope this helps.

  • Microsoft MultiMedia 1.1 wireless keyboard does not work - Windows 7 64 bit

Keyboard does not work.  Does not enter any data.  Battery is good, the wireless signal is good.  Tested on another computer and does not work there either.  Tried to uninstall, reinstall and checked for driver updates. Original installation disk is incompatible with Windows 7.  Message says device is working, but the keyboard is "dead."

    Appreciate the suggestions, pls.  TX

Not a good sign that it does not work on another computer. Go to control panel > devices and printers. If the keyboard doesn't appear as an installed device, think of it as dead and buried.

Windows identifies devices of small IC boards inside the devices and guess they are ok. Windows cannot do is determine if the keyboard membrane makes contact with the small IC Board...

  • my wireless keyboard does not work on the letter and number keys.

It seems to be connected to the computer, because it does not work on the control button and snooze sound

    Hello

-Have you made any recent hardware / software changes prior to this question?

-What is the brand and model of wireless keyboard?

Method 1: run the hardware troubleshooter.

Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-hardware-and-devices-Troubleshooter

Method 2: update a hardware driver that is not working properly

    (a) open Manager devices by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click System and security, and then, under system, clicking Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    (b) in the list of hardware categories, find the device you want to update, and then double-click the device name.
    (c) click on the driver tab, click Update driver, and then follow the instructions. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

Method 3: resynchronize your device with the receiver

To resynchronize the mouse or the keyboard with the receiver, follow these steps.

Note When you synchronize the mouse or the keyboard le clavier with the receiver, place the device near the receiver and store other keyboards and wireless mouse at least 6 feet.
    1. press the button on the receiver and check that the light on the receiver starts flashing.
Note Some newer devices from Microsoft are subject to their receiver and cannot be reset. If your device has a button, go to method 2.
    2. If a dialog box appears on the screen in seconds, follow the instructions that appear on the screen. Otherwise, continue to the next step.
    3. press and release the Connect Channel button on the bottom of the mouse or the keyboard.
    4. check the green light on the receiver. A continuous green light means that the synchronization was successful. If the problem persists, repeat steps 1 to 4.
    5. for the Wireless Notebook Mouse: this issue can occur if the micro-switch on the bottom of the mouse is not released. Use a PIN or pen to try to release the button, if it is pressed.

    Hope this information helps.

  • Microsoft 3000 V2 wireless keyboard does not work!

Hello! I recently bought a keyboard (keyboard microsoft wireless keyboard 3000 V2) for my new PC (windows 7 64 bit installed) and I can't just not work! Installing intellitype pro 8.0 works perfectly and I can choose my keyboard model from the list. When I plugin the USB receiver to my computer, it recognizes it immediately and says he's ready to be used. The program "Microsoft keyboard" also recognizes the connection and it says also, that it is running. The problem is that when I press a button on the keyboard it self, nothing happens... at all. I have inserted more than 10 different and newly purchased battery AA, but the only thing that happes is the power led on the keyboard lights up for about 8 seconds.

I ve tried ALL literary to make it work. Guides, forum search, searches on google and all these things, but nothing works.

You are my last hope and I really hope you can help me!

It now appears that the keyboard and the receiver has lost signals 'sync '.  You must contact TS and find how to "synchronize" the receiver / keyboard signals.

  • no error code just that mouse and touch pad on laptop does not work

My D610 delllatitude's cd-rom problems, so when I contacted dell they told me to delete some of the files in the registry and now with my new drive hard to 100 GB when the computer was delivered on the pointer is located in the Center or there abouts and my wireless mouse or my touchpad moves it. When I put my original hard 40 GB drive but it works fine but I have an external hard drive here kit and I am able to run the 100 GB in this way drive. By pluging in there through the usb cord.

any suggestions as to how I might solve this problem? off silver shop and cain't difficulty or buy a new one or believe me I replaced it with a new HP laptop in a heartbeat.

After you have installed Windows on the new drive, have you thought to install all the drivers for your hardware? Looks like that you did not do this. Plug a USB Wired mouse and go to the Dell website and download all the drivers/utilities for your Latitude. This includes the touchpad drivers. Wireless mouse drivers need to be downloaded on site of the mouse mftr. and then installed.

Dell Support & drivers - go to the site Web and download/install the drivers and utilities for your operating system from Dell. Be sure to choose the drivers 32 or 64-bit according to the case. Enter your Service tag to get the drivers for your specific model computer.

  • my wireless keyboard does not work after the upgrade to El Capitan

I have a wireless trackpad, keyboard, and mouse connected to the iMac of 2013. Everything works fine until I upgraded to El Capitan a few weeks ago. Whenever I wake the system from standby mode, I am unable my password key using the keyboard. The keyboard no longer respond or begin typing the characters on his own.

So I did a little research on the Internet and discovered by turning off the wireless trackpad will solve the problem. So I tried and yes it works. But it also means that I have to turn off my trackpad whenever I need to connect using my keyboard, which is not the best solution. And my keyboard and trackpad have always been placed side by side, works perfectly well until this upgrade of the OS.

Does anyone have a solution to this?

    Thank you

Have you tried to remove the keyboard and the trackpad of Bluetooth devices in the bar of Manu. Then allowing them to be discovered again.

(You may need to hold down option when you select Bluetooth)

Hi all, I have an Aspire Z3-61 that the keyboard is not connected when turned on. If I restart the computer, it works fine. of course turn on/off and rebooting is not the best way that I would get my keyboard works. It does not have to use the on-screen keyboard, and to start windows. I have to restart it to connect. Thanks in advance for any help.

An alternative workaround that I used when I had the problem was to disable the Windows quick start.

How to get another code redemption, one I had on my old laptop does not work and I need someone else to my new.

Redemption codes are good for one use.  You use a redemption code to purchase a serial number.  The serial number is what you need to recover.  If you have registered the software when you initially installed, then it might be available through your Adobe account online.

  • Update of Vista 32 bit does not work after replacing the hard drive

A month ago the hard drive of my computer (ACER Aspire 6920) had to be replaced. The disk image hard precedent (which includes the c: with Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit, SP 2 build 6002) has been mirrored to the new hard drive. Everything seemed to work fine until I noticed that I don't have more updates from Microsoft. I tried a manual update and got the message that the update service was not working and I have to restart the computer. However, the Task Manager showed that the update service has been executed. Of course, I rebooted the computer, but nothing has changed.

I found a whole bunch of recommendations for this issue in this forum, but nothing seems to work:

    • The Microsoft FixIT tool indicates a problem with the update of components, and then said that the problem had been solved successfully. However, the problem is still there and rerun the FixIt tool Gets the same message on a problem (yet) found and fixed.
    • I also stopped the update service, delete all content in Windows/C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution and restarted the service. without success.
    • I've temporarily disabled my security suite (Eset Smart Security 6) and tried the update. I also have fittings the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution to the scope of the antivirus, without success. On the old hard drive, I used a different security suite so I thought that maybe the ESET (that I installed everything recently) could be the cause of the problem, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
    • I also followed the instructions provided by Microsoft at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058, but again, no change at all. However, it should be noted that registering some DLLs that Microsoft listed does not work (message that the DLL is not found or some server entry point (my translation, I'm using the German UI and don't know English good term; sorry) could not be found.)

Http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821 , I found another tool that supposedly can solve some problems of updating; I downloaded the version for Vista 32-bit, but it cannot install it on my computer (error code = 0xc8000247 during installation).

So I'm really lost now what else to do. I would appreciate any suggestions. Please note that I am not technically very warned :)

    ARG, apologies.

Was not aware that they had dropped support for Vista... (I myself have 'graduated' Vista earlier)

The fact that you have not already installed TSRI is exactly your problem.

Recent hard drives using 'Sectors 4 K', also known as 'Advanced Format Technology'.

If the installed hard disk driver currently is not compatible with this specification,

It will result in oddities like the status of the service Windows Update is not recognized correctly.

Installation TSRI will fix this in most cases.

Alternatively, if you are using Vista SP1 or later version (or 7 SP1), you can use the real driver.

Since you are already updated to SP2, we will see if it is a viable solution.

Go to: start-> Control Panel-> programs-> programs and features

In the list of installed programs, locate and remove if found.

    -Intel Matrix Storage Manager

    -Intel Turbo Memory

This should force your computer to go back to the real driver provided by Vista.
