Windows 7 won't start on Satellite L650
Hey,.
I went to turn on my laptop this afternoon and windows does not start. I get the loading screen animation, but nothing happens. When I restart, I get the option to repair windows - but when I go in, all I get is a black screen with a white cursor.
I tried the following:
-Switch on my computer and now the F8 - nothing happens, I just get to the screen asking me to repair windows or start normally
-Engraving of windows Recovery Center 7 on a CD and it works - nothing happens, black screen with white cursor
-Turn on the computer while pressing the 0 to get to the system recovery - again, nothing happens. The black screen, white cursor.
It is only 3 months old so it is still under warranty, but I prefer not to have to take it to a service center because I need for work, and I can't do without it for more than a few days.
Any help or advice would be appreciated!
Thank you
> I guess now, my question is - why is this happen?
Who knows things boyfriend arrive simply because on no apparent reason
But although it works again

Factory default software start startup Satellite L650 / 07C first time
Hello
Today, I bought a new laptop Toshiba Satellite L650 / 07C.
When I start the laptop first, he went to the recovery of factory default software?
There is nothing on it is mentioned in the manual.
Is this normal? is that mean that my laptop is not a new or was defective?Does anyone have the same experience here?
Hello
Everything goes well with your knees. Just my recommendation is to create a recovery disc, do not postpone this procedure. Use of high quality like Word to Word and tdk media to burn recovery discs.

Hello
Do you not see repair option before going through it or the (repair) process starts by itself?
You get to advance boot menu options if your computer stopped unexpectedly on the previous session. Do you have any external device connected to your computer?
Since it is a random question, I recommend you remove all external devices except the keyboard and mouse and check what is happening. Also, you can try to use his computer in start state in minimum mode for a period of time and check if you are experiencing the same.
To perform a clean boot on a computer that is running Windows Vista, follow these steps.
1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.
4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
5. click on OK.
6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
7. after starting the computer, reinstall and run the program and see if the problem is resolved.
Check if you have the same problem... If your issue is resolved, follow the how to determine what is causing the problem section in KB article to narrow down the exact source.

You are not able to access the BIOS?You want to reinstall the OS and want to set the laptop to factory settings?
If Yes, then try to boot from the DVD of recovery (if created).
If you have n t try a recovery DVDs start the installation from the HARD disk.
The new laptops HARD drive recovery and you should be able to reinstall the OS by pressing the F8 key-> choosing fix my computer-> Toshiba RecoveryThis should launch the installation of the HARD disk

Won't start not satellite M300 - system on the disk volume is damaged
OK on the 1st...
Today, I turn on my laptop but it just will not start until... stop just at the TOSHIBA LEADING INNOVATION he...
and the drive light lit upwards or blink. After that I tried the several times, it starts.
When I went into windows, IE opened, it hangs again.
After a while a black screen with a mouse crusor only...I tried to turn it back on it... it comes out the window repair.
after repair, he says that:
"the system on the disk volume is damaged."
'system QuickIN' file is repair.
but always after some time, the problem came again...So I wonder what problem is that and what can I do to solve this problem?
Is a software or hardware problem?Hello
For me, this looks a bit like a HARD drive problem.
I guess that HARD drive developed and the hardware error.Have you checked if the HARD drive is listed and recognized in the BIOS?
Do this!If the HARD drive is not visible in the BIOS then it would mean that the HARD drive is dead and must be replaced.
Even if the HARD drive would be listed in the BIOS, you test another new HARD drive to check if the problem is not related to the failure of HARD drive.

Windows Vista won't start after installation of microsoft updates
I just install microsoft updates, then the computer is turned off and it does not load windows. A box appears that says
Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Library.
This application has requested the execution to terminate in an unusual way. For more information, contact the application support team. The options are to click OK or close the box. I tried both and it just keeps popping up the same box as above.
Hi Mas_007,
Welcome to Microsoft Vista answers Forum!
I have a few here that might solve the problem.
A.) Firstly, I suggest that you start the computer in safe mode and check if you are able to boot without any problems, safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not run in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed that, follow these steps to start the computer in safe mode with networking:
To restart the computer using safe mode, restart the computer and press the F8 key for about four to five times. Appears in safe mode listed in the advanced options of Windows. Select Safe Mode, and then press ENTER.
(B) I suggest that you perform a clean boot on your computer, to help troubleshoot error messages and other issues; You can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
The following link has steps showing how to perform the clean boot: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
(1) perform the clean boot (check the link to perform the clean boot)
(2) enable half the services
(3) determine whether the problem returns
(4) enable half of the startup items
(5) determine if the problem returns
(6) repeat the steps above until you find out which program or service is causing the issue
After you determine the startup item or the service that is causing the problem, contact the manufacturer of the program to determine if the problem can be solved. Or, run the System Configuration utility, and then click to clear the check box of the element of the problem.
Note: Please make sure that the computer is configured to start as usual by following step 7 of article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.
(C.) I suggest that you perform a scan of the file system [SFC] checker on the computer, the scan replaces the failed system of files with the original files from version of Windows on the computer system, follow the steps below to perform a scan:
I suggest to empty the temp folder and later, follow these steps:
i. Click Start > type % temp % in the start search box > press on enter > delete everything present in the temp folder.
1. Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.
2. right click on cmd in the list programs and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue
3. at the command calls, the following line and press ENTER: sfc/scannow
When the analysis is complete, test to see if the problem you are experiencing is resolved.

Hope this information is useful.
Let me know if it worked.

Windows XP won't start in normal mode
When you start the computer normally, he will just stay at the Windows loading screen forever. It allows me to start safe mode and I did a system restore, but this does not solve the problem. I don't know what other steps can I take to get my computer to start. Any suggestions?
'Safe Mode' is simply Windows running with the bare minimum programs and support. When you start normally, other programs and services are started that are not started in Mode without failure. Apparently one of these additional programs preventing your computer from starting normally. The process to discover which program is causing your problem is a random approach and use the Microsoft utility 'msconfig' selectively the enable/disable these additional processes. Once you find out what process is the problem, the solution is usually apparent. See the following article:

Windows firewall won't start, 6801 Code error in the event log viewer
When I try to start my windows firewall manually it just says that it cannot be run.
I checked dependencies of firewall are running via services.msc
(CPP) Remote procedure call is started and set to automatic
DCOM Server process Launcher also started and set to automatic
These are the only 2 mentioned in the tree of dependencies.Ive tried going into regedit according to the http://forums.techarena.in/vista-security/754147.htm
But could never find the % query defined values, they have mentioned that only how to make them.Program installed Antivirus is ESET 4.0 with firewall.
Tried to disable all the services start and no microsoft via msconfig services, but the firewall still does not start. My system is running Windows Vista Premium.
I have no idea why the firewall just quit on me, I turned it off when I installed ESET smart security 1-2 years back.
I've been juggling start services to try to make my computer faster startup could be something I did.
I even tried their activation at unsuccessfully.Im going to do a full analysis of the Virus to see if it could be the culprit, but its highly unlikely it seems.
No matter which entry of the Forumites here would know it that I really need to get the windows firewall service starts to install my drivers for the new printer I just bought
(part of his installation required to start the windows firewall to configure, when it fails it cant complete the installation)I solved it thnx to DaGreenOne,
It wasn't enough to just disable the ESET firewall,
You must completely uninstall the ESET program to the windows firewall to work again. -
Hello
I am running Windows Vista Ultimate Pro and Windows Defender worked fine until Verizon has install me it is Backup Assistant. Now I can't get Windows Defender to start. I received an error 0x800705b4 initially, but now just keep we get an error 0x800106ba whenever I try to start. I went to the Internet for a solution and this is the one that I thought might work:
Tom McC: "I had the same problem. Fixed by going to the control of the Control Panel-administrative tools - services - select Windows Defender-right click for proprietesent - choose boot options, and select automatic. To restart and no problems since. »
But when I open the Control Panel, I had no options, said Tom McC. Not to mention that under Vista, this is:
1. open the control panel
2. open system & maintenance
3. open administrative tools
However, once there, there's no option to choose Windows Defender or ONE of my startup programs. Furthermore, when I tried of all this that I made right click has a drop down menu that says:
1 Explorer (which showed only the administrative programs/apps tools)
2. open (which showed programs administrative tools in the tree of the C drive)
3 Win - Zip (which allows me to files in the administration tools, or those that it contains zip)
4 News (which allows me to create a new folder or briefcase in administrative tools)
That's why I came here. I am totally confused and need all the help I can get.
Sincerely,

Hello
"and Windows Defender has worked until Verizon had me install...". »
You have an Antivirus installed; which is a necessity?
If you use Norton, AVG, Avira, Microsoft Security Essentials, McAfee, etc. the default action is for Windows Defender must be disabled, that these AntiVirus programs have their own Antispyware Applications.
There is nothing to worry.
Using both programs at the same time can cause system conflicts, etc.
And here are the tips to reactivate it.
Are you sure that your computer doesn't have any malicious software, that you don't mention using an Antivirus?
If you are using one of the above AntiVirus programs, this Information from David O - Support Engineer shows you how to manually enable Windows Defender (disregard information from uninstalling; not possible in Vista):
"Go to start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services. Look for Windows Defender.
Right click and select Properties , ensure that Startup Type is automatic.
Once modified, click apply and OK.
Quit and restart your computer. Check the back take the same path to confirm that Windows Defender has started"
.
If you want to have additional protection against malware using the version FREE of Malwarebytes AntiMalware:
http://www.Malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free
And for now, change startup Vista programs without using Defender, use one of these methods:
"How to use MSCONFIG in Windows Vista"
http://netsquirrel.com/Msconfig/msconfig_vista.html
Or the program Autoruns for FREE:
"V11.21 Autoruns for Windows"

Windows Defender won't start-get error 0 x 80070006 how he make it back
Windows Defender does not keep error - 0 x 80070006. Don't know about vista and it wont let me reinstal Defender on the former. Help!
Hello
You cannot reinstall Defender
It is part of the vista operating system
read this information on the Defender:
· If you use microsoft security essentials avg avira mcafee norton etc they disable the vista version of windows defender by default
the basics of Microsoft security has its own version of windows defender
and other anti-virus programs use their own particular type of application to scan for spyware and malware
It of nothing to worry and is the default action, which is designed for them to do
If the above does not apply to your machine to read the information on the below link on how to disable the windows defender service in vista or make an autostart to enable
and here is the method to remove it from startup in vista
http://www.groovypost.com/HOWTO/Microsoft/Vista/remove-Windows-Defender-from-Vista-system-startup/
and this is how you would normally activate or disable windows defender in vista from within defenders of own and options tools
http://www.groovypost.com/HOWTO/Microsoft/Vista/disable-Windows-Defender-for-Microsoft-Vista/
and if you need to change startup programs read this information on the other methods of doing it without using defender
using msconfig read this tutorial;
How to use MSCONFIG in Windows Vista
Here's how to use MSCONFIG in Windows Vista to disable some unnecessary programs that load automatically at startup
http://netsquirrel.com/Msconfig/msconfig_vista.html
and also try this program;
This utility, which has a knowledge of auto-starting locations of any startup monitor, shows you what programs configured to run at system startup or login and that the entries in the order of processing windows. These programs include those in your startup folder, Run, RunOnce, and other registry keys. You can configure Autoruns to show other locations, including Explorer shell, toolbar extensions, helper objects to the browser, Winlogon notifications, auto and many start-up services more

I recently downloaded the free version of AVG v.9, which seems to work very well. However Windows Defender no longer seems work fine, normally this is an error message saying that it does not work and I have to manually start even if I set it to start automatically. Sometimes it does not start at all. Is it a problem because I use AVG and I have to run Windows defender, while running AVG?
I got appreciatte all boards.
Thanks J.
AVG and defender in the face of a conflict between them.
And even if you change Microsoft Security Essentials, it will turn off Defender, because it has its own integrated version of Defender.
See you soon.
