We did not have much success with the help of the new feature "Update Image" Interior Eloqua - especially on pages that are built 100% in HTML and imported into. Anyone succeeded with the help of the new "Update Image"? If so, I would like to know how you use (outside the WYSIWYG). Maybe it's the flaw - it works with the WYSIWYG - someone can confirm? I'm not sure I understand exactly what you're asking, but in E10, for updating an image, I go to the assets > library > Images > double click on the image to update, click on the "Update Image" button and download the new image. There are sometimes a few minutes for the update display assets.

  • Change or update Image NetRestore

    Hello world

I am assistant Head of a corporate IT average, we run around 80-90 Mac here, are close enough all day or running at least Yosemite.

From now on, we set up the new machines using a Carbon Copy Cloner Image that we did a while, where we can start to leave and then copy it to the local drive of the computer. We do this by the USB bus. So we connect the clone, which is just a simple SSD, via USB for the new Mac, the image that contains a ton of software and startup settings and then copy only with the also in the Carbon Copy Cloner local drive preinstalled image.
This works like a charm, and when we need to update the clone, simply connect us via USB to any Mac and then run software updates installed or change the settings and once we're done we just stopped, and it is ready to be cloned.

Now we wan't to change NetRestore to it. I managed to test different scenarios using system image utility, simply create an image of NetRestore and that deployment on NetInstall. It works fine, but the big problem here is that if we need to update this image, or change a setting to write completely a new image every time and it takes time because we must always connect the SSD Clone to a mac and then write the new image that Mac and copy it into our machine deployment. So my question is, and I'm sure that other people have asked this question before, but I have not really found an answer so far: can start you somehow NetRestore, without restoring, OR image, can you create a NetBoot Image, initiate that updated the NetBoot image and then CONVERTING the NetBoot into NetRestore image image? In my opinion, what would make the most sense, so we can always decide to NetBoot in the NetBoot image, change and update the stuff and then just convert that image NetRestore that is copied to the machine.

I know that there are deploy Studio, but * I was not able to understand a single simple thing about this app, it's more complicated...

Thanks for your replies, maybe someone knows the best way to handle this!

    See you soon

I'll throw my thoughts in the arena.

NetInstall is a great technology for a handful of very specific situations.  As you have discovered, it is not remarkably flexible when it comes to create images.  If you use hard drives traditionally create or capture images, you prefer to do the day after.  If you are subnet'ed you have hoops to jump through.  If you want to make a lot of changes... Well it takes a lot of time.

However, for environments that have stable or images which frequently must features reimage (laboratories, schools, test gear, etc.), NetRestore is a great technology, which allows quick reset of the device with a few requirements.  After all, what good configuration, simply hold the key N and walk.

But these are not your needs.

You can create a mixed solution.  You can create a master NetRestore image is all you need until a certain date.  Then, you can create an image only Package that can include all your patches and updates.  It's much easier to create and recreate an image of the operating system.  The flow of work would go like this.  Day 1, you snap your final image.  Day 2, a new Flash Player and Firefox are released to create you a package only image containing these two updates.  Day 3, you have a few re-frame machines.  If you NetBoot first image of NetRestore, fixing this OS perfect, built you.  Then, once the machine is running, you net boot in the single image of the package and apply the additional patches.

This mixed model still has holes.  For example, the end of 2015 iMac.  They can only start 10.11.1 or higher.  If you have created a master image, which has been 10.11.0, you would not be able to clone the iMac.  This is with the latest Mac Book Pro.  Then require 10.10.5 or hight.  A 10.10.3 master image, so that it can be cloned to the machine cannot start it.  Oh, and then there's firmware that Apple keeps hiding in the updates to the OS.  If you monolithiquement cloning, there is a good chance that you do not get the required firmware on the devices.  There are ways around this, but nothing provided by Apple.

Now, at 80-90 Mac, you are a candidate for JAMF.  JAMF is a tool that can supplant many of your manual processes and many tools from Apple.  In addition, you can search program entry Device (PED) Apple, especially if you treat devices like the BYOD systems, pushing IT responsibility on the end user.  If you follow the path JAMF, simply use on recruitment policies to deliver your software and stack parameters.  Basically, you register the device and then the menu of items are delivered.  Your job is to keep this menu to update.  The devices will then follow the script, do whatever you want to put back in the correct order.

There is also AutoDMG.  I haven't touched on this in a long time, but it could be what you are looking to keep a master image to update.  You still need to do this periodically capture a picture NetRestore.

And to finally achieve, there is nothing "wrong" with what you do.  If it works for you, then why break?  There is something very elegant on a cloning machine to another and it works.  Doing this on a large scale is magically ("wait, you loan 100 devices in one day?")  However, be aware that some items should not be cloned, as mattes, newspapers, local KDC, sleeping images, saving state app, etc..  Before cloning, you should prepare the master (or clean the clone before starting) to purge the additional items.

Hope this helps in the thought process.  Not really respond to or send you one way.  More giving you additional options to consider.

  • Update image RDSH gold error

I HAV just vWorkspace has deployed for the first time and can provide virtual machines - I'm under Windows Server 2012 R2 and vWorkspace MR1 8.0 with no patches (as it is a trial) - I'm using Hyper-v (new 2012 R2) without SCVMM.

When I try and failure of the update (put) computers from an image or changed, it seems, trying to copy the original provisioned VM and then fails with a message that says Backup - this method is not implemented in any class

It then saves another error in the newspapers saying 'Rename computer failed.

According to me, when I had this set up to use SCVMM, then that's all what I did to update the model.

Is reprovisioning is not supported in a pure implementation of Hyper-V, or am I missing something?

    Thank you

    Hello

This problem is solved for VDI using this fix:

I have not tested with RDSH but you should find THAT RDSH is fixed too. Any problems, let me know

  • Update IOS ASA

    Hello Experts,

I have ASA 5520 with IOS image release 7.0 (7).

Can I do a straight upgrade to image version 8.4 (5)?

    Thank you.

But be aware that, after 8.2, the configuration of the firewall is object based. There are important changes you need to know before moving on. I saw some improvements go wrong and a complete reconstruction of the configuration was needed.

  • Customer profile updated to ASA

The SAA can be used to push a new profile to my users when they connect to the VPN? I know that you can update the software but are not required at this time.

I have about 200 users, that I need to push the profile. Any suggestions?

It doesn't seem to be a way to push a new profile your customers to IPSec.

AnyConnect SSL VPN clients, however, pull the profile of ASA as they are classified in a tunnel-group. You can update the configuration of this specific profile, then it will be applied towards them during the next connection.

  • ADSM 5.0.5 not loaded with image ASA 7.0.5

    Hello

Having an ASA5520, who was running with the image: asa704-4 - k8.bin and the ADSM: asdm504 - 2.bin

I improved the image in version 7.0.5 and the ADSM in 5.0.5

The ASA boots properly with this new version 7.0.5, but still start with the asdm504 - 2.bin ADSM and not the asdm505.bin

In the configuration, I have the following initialization variable:

    boot system Disk0: / asa705 - k8.bin

    Disk0: / asdm505.bin starting system

So, I would like to know why the ASA 5520 does not accept the ADSM file at startup.

PS: the ADSM file in the flash size is: 5823304

You do not want to have the boot system command reference the asdm .bin file. the correct command to the asdm file is:

    ASDM image disk0: /.

Make sure that you remove the start control system of the asdm file references. you want to just start the file asa704.bin.

  • Images ASA

    Hello

I currently work with 2 separate ASA 5520 s and recently, I erased the boot of one image (trying to clear the config, the new version of IOS messed up me due to the 'deletion run' or 'clear the beginning' commands) and can't seem to get access to download the image... I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible for me to get the image (asa7xx - kx.bin) of my still working ASA (using tftp) so I don't have to pay Cisco (more money!) just to have access to the software. Help/config options would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you

    Chris

    Chris,

You should be able to copy image bla flash: 7xxx to your your ASA work tftp server very well.

Just useftp://1.1.1.1/blah.bin replace 'blah' command copy flash: / blah.bin t with the image that is on the flash of your ASA work.

  • Adobe Slate: Update images of CC?

Is it possible to have images placed in Slate Adobe auto update if they are changed on CC?

    Example:

    • Place the Image in Adobe slate using the source of the CC.
    • In Photoshop CC, open this CC image, edit and save to the same file
    • Slate in Adobe, or images is not updated.

Is there a setting to enable that all modified images to slate the same CC directory path to cool off in a slate project without having to replace each?

You'd have to reinsert the image in slate with the recently amended. Slate images are static, once placed in the document.

  • updated images of VMware Server to use in ESXI server

    Hello

I just have a lot of virtual machines that has been configured and used by vmware server 1. Now, I'll use ESXI server, when I downloaded the images to the esxi server and tried to run, I had a mistake in VMDK. Is it possible for me to change VMDK and use these old images or I need to reconstruct images from scracth. also, is there any availbale tool to update my old images to use ESXI?

    Thank you

ESXi does not support the scattered disk format used by VMware Server by default. What you can do is to follow the recommendations of weinstein5and use VMware Converter or convert the hard file in a supported format (zeroedthick, eagerzeroedthick or thin) using the vmkfstools in ESXi command line tool.

Assuming that the virtual disk has no snapshots, you can follow these steps in order to maintain the virtual disk file name.

    • create a 'old' subfolder in the folder of the VM on the ESXi host and move the hard files in this folder
    • Basic virtual machine folder run for example vmksftools old-i /hard-d thin vmname.vmdk
    • If the virtual machine lights without problem, you can remove the "old" subdirectory

  • Can I create a PDF template (or other file) in InDesign, my client can update images?

I designed a brochure for a client, and they would like to know if I can do a version where they will be able to Exchange pictures (and text) be updated for future projects.

It's perfectly fine for me, as I take on other clients and is not able to do for them in the future. I also know how to create the text in this way, as I can implement each header and body as a separate 'form' that they can fill with reader and save... However, I don't know how it is possible to change/replace the images without having something like Acrobat.

Is it possible to create an interactive environment, they can 'download' image, and then save the PDF file? They are a small company, so I would rather not say they have to buy additional software. I also want to make it as easy for them as possible.

I am also aware, however, that even if a picture can be incorporated, a PDF file may not be able to resize an image to fit within such a framework. I can, however, write an exe file that will resize the images for them if necessary. I don't know how to get them in the PDF...

A model like this would be probably simple HTML, but unfortunately, the brochure design is beyond my ability to reproduce in Dreamweaver, and I also assume that printing an HTML document would be a nightmare for the printing industry lol.

Thanks for any help or answers, they are much appriciated

You can use the same method of forms for images, but it only gives you no control over postioning in the framework or the scale/crop update.

The key here is really that this kind of editing must be done in the ID, and if they want to they should probably invest in a license, even if it's just a subscription to the month, when they need it.

  • CP9 Adobe update - Images Json

OK, what adobe did? When a generated it s package he creates now an img1.json on the back of the DR? Where the images go? I have a few plugins that read images directly from the folder.

I think that the reason of evolution into JSON files instead of PNG images, is that it allows to reach the HTML5 load faster than Adobe has reported to the 9.0.2 version.  You could potentially have hundreds of PNG files in a course of decent size, and when these PNG files are separate files, then each must be requested individually by the web server.  But if you have all the PNGs wrapped inside a JSON file while a SINGLE request to the server is required.  That will mean that the content of the loads faster.
