  • Error message ' unable to update this collection: an internal error has occurred: semi colon character was expected.

    Try to publish on Flickr this morning and get the warning message "cannot update this collection: an internal error has occurred: a semi colon was expected" worked perfectly before now

    A number of people have reported this problem in Adobe official feedback forum: Lightroom: unable to update this collection: Semi Colon should.  Looks like it was a bug in the servers of Flickr, which has now been fixed - several report people (including me) that Flickr updates now work again.

    In general, Yahoo has been struggling to keep Flickr stable and reliable.  It's only later many problems.

  • problem with the vista updates, dates back to December 2008

    In December 2008, I had remote access, now have broadband services. have family vista premium with service pack 1, the problem started when I tried to install the December 2008 windows updates. checked all updates essential etc. then let problem execution, not finished, then computer rebooted as it always does, is gone on the screen, then rebooted, saw the windows bar downstairs and then (as would normally go to LOG IN) it went to black screen and then off, the thing windows tried to start and check the disc and other programs of repair but kept saying could not start. Looked at this time comes to say has encountered an unknown error and could not fix, end was to use the F keys as an administrator login and do a system restore to 5 December and then worked well, have run the check disk and defrag and virus scans etc... now, my pc works fine, but I have not installed updates since December 2008, as know that it will happen if I do. However, I want to keep my vista up-to-date. I think that may be corruptions in the updates in a temporary folder somewhere, but don't know where it is. is - it there anyway to remove the files that can be corrupted or is there another solution, looked everywhere for answers in the forums and helpdesk there were several other people in the same question. My computer work fine, but I wonder if I will ever be able to install an update again. I have to be clear that I can run windows update without issue, it lists later and everything but when it's this thing to reboot it goes back to square one as shown above. Something in the updates is messing up my system and even widows classes as unknown error.

    Resolution 3: Close or disable any applications that may be running, restart the computer and then install the service pack

    Click here to show or hide detailed information

    Important These steps may increase your security risk. These steps may also make the computer or the network more vulnerable to attack from malicious users or malicious software such as viruses. We recommend the process that this article describes to enable programs to operate as they are designed for, or to implement specific program features. Before you make these changes, we recommend that you evaluate the risks that are associated with implementing this process in your particular environment. If you decide to implement this process, take additional measures to protect the system. We recommend that you use this process only if you really need this process.

    During installation, one of the most frequent causes of failure occurs when a third-party application holds open a file or locks a file that the service pack installer should use. For example, an application third-party antivirus or antispyware may cause this problem. To minimize this risk, follow these steps:

    1. close all applications and restart your computer.

    2. Once your computer has restarted, disable any antivirus or any antispyware application that can load during the startup process. You can normally disable the notification area application. This area is located in the bottom right corner of the computer screen. To disable an application in the notification area, follow these steps:

    a. right-click on the icon of the third-party program.

    b. click Close, disable, outputor an equivalent term in the list of options. If these options are not available, you may open the application and then close or disable in the application.

    3. as soon as you close the antivirus or the antispyware software, try to click here to install the download package full of the service pack that you previously downloaded from the following Microsoft Download Center Web site.

    4. After completing the installation of the service pack, enable the antivirus or the antispyware software that you disabled in the previous steps.

    If your problem is still not resolved, you can try the steps of troubleshooting on your own, or you can contact Microsoft technical support.

    Resolution 4: Uninstall security applications, restart the computer and then install the service pack

    A third-party security application (for example, an antivirus application, a firewall, or antispyware software) can still be causing the installation fails, even though you tried to disable the application. The Windows Vista SP1 installation requires several restarts of the computer, and the security application may be reload after the first reboot. Applications that provide registry repair features may also cause the installation to fail.

    You can uninstall your third-party security application before you install the service pack. However, you should do this only if you are positive that you can reinstall the application as soon as the service pack installation is complete. To reinstall the third-party security application, you'll need either the original installation media for the application, or you need the original download. You may also need a product key to reinstall the third-party security application.

    If you are sure that you can reinstall the third-party application, uninstall the application from the programs and features item in Control Panel. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. close all applications and restart your computer.

    2. Once your computer has restarted, click Start

    Collapse this includes this image

    .

    3. in the find what box, type programs.

    4. click on programs and features.

    5. click on the name of the security program that you want to uninstall.

    6. click on Uninstall.

    7. After you have uninstalled the program, restart the computer.

    8. try to click here to install the download package full of the service pack that you previously downloaded from the following Microsoft Download Center Web site.
    Note You have uninstalled your security software, and your computer is more vulnerable to attack by malicious users or by malicious software such as viruses. We recommend that you do not surf the Web, use e-mail, or use instant messaging, up to what you have done to solve the problem, and you have reinstalled your security software.

    9. After completing the installation of Windows Vista SP1, reinstall the security program that you uninstalled in the previous steps.

    * All of these resolutions were conducted, but still having trouble running SP1 & SP2. It's a problem of installation and after the installation of Service packs 1 & 2 times. I have a SYSTEM of 32-bit operating systems. KB947821 analytical TOOL has also been installed!, by following the instructions in res 2. Security / Antivirus has also been disabled in accordance with the instructions of res 3 & 4. Service packs Download but will not work!

  • Not pulling not updated on the Server internal Flash

    Hello

    Two years, I configured an internal server to distribute Flash updated to Windows endpoints. It works well, until he appears, this month of May.  My end points are so stuck on 13.0.0.214. If something has changed

    Check that I did:

    1. update script on the server always pulls files. Destination folder indicates v14 has been downloaded

    Pulling the version.xml from the update server to update internal (via https) confirms this.

    For info:

    < version >

    2 CNAME 'flashupdate' is always in the DNS system

    3 domain wildcard cert is valid and linked to HTTPS such that I get no warning of the cert when you browse the internal update server https://flashupdate.domain.local (IIS 7)

    On an endpoint, here is a sample flashinstall.log (could not find the error codes mean!) for about the last 30 minutes. I used FlashPlayerUpdateService.exe to start manually.

    AutoUpdateDisable = 0

    SilentAutoUpdateEnable = 1

    SilentAutoUpdateServerDomain = flashupdate.domain.local

    SilentAutoUpdateVerboseLogging = 1

    I know that

    1. the internal update server is able to communicate with Adobe and download the updates (I used wget in verbose mode to check the result).

    2. on the verge of ending, I manually browse and download files update v14 without problem, so config and web hosting permissions looks ok

    3. the update of the endpoint for a reason any still refuses to remove the updated files. So, the idea seems to be in the mysterious error codes?

    So I'm stuck - please help!

    Hello

    I'm glad it works for you now.

    The Setup log file you posted contains any errors, codes just information that indicates the proper functioning of the background update features.

    To clarify one of your points, the internal update server does not communicate with Adobe servers to download the update package.  As an administrator, you or someone else, would need to download the update package (fp_background_update.cab) and send the files (in the structure provided) on your internal server.  It is a process unless automate you it.  Once the files are displayed on your server, it can take up to an hour for updates start to appear on your machines users (of course, depending on how your environment is configured, you can to clear the cache of your server so that the new files to download).

  • Back ups keep fault and error 0 x 80070002 rises

    My back keep lack of ups and an error message appears... system cannot find specified file... 0 x 80070002. I have auto return on and the last success was 12/22/10.
    I thought I would try the system restore but cannot find system restore points. When I created one that he said it was my first. Laptop is about 18 months and I am sure that I created restore points before proably no more than once or twice (silly me!)

    How can I fix this error

    Hello

    See THIS page.
    Maybe you will find the right answer here.

    By the way: when you place the error code in Google you will find tons of discussions on various forums. It must be a general question of Microsoft.

  • while loop: delay enforcement and continuous updated: VI back to fake out of time?

    Hi all

    I want to control the time of execution of a while loop. I want the user to have the ability to decide how long he wants to run the while loop. The while loop is used to update certain values, then it should run continuously, not only run once and wait (that I could easily using the synchronization functions).

    I used the time up VI as suggested in this post:

    http://forums.NI.com/T5/LabVIEW/how-to-create-a-time-control-for-while-loop/m-p/2530212/highlight/FA...

    and works well, but the while loops are integrated into another loop for and when Goes to the next iteration, the elapsed time Boolean result is set to true and it does not run at all (I think that's the problem).

    Can I return the Boolean result of the elapsed time VI to false, after reaching the target of time? That would solve my problem, I think that...

    I attach some of my VI, although I don't know that it could be useful for you...

    Thanks for your help

    Use the iteration for while loops count and an equal to zero? node.  Then the output of the comparison at the entrance to reset the elapsed time functions.  The idea is that reset you on the first iteration (when I = 0).
