You can't because adobe sells more programs than cs3 and cs3 would be an upgrade (not free update) of flash 8.

Without having to install any additional application, I took a look at the list of installed programs, and guess what? The Flash Player has already been installed, so it is part of the recovery DVD.

    But why it can not be uninstalled? I really need to get rid of the former player to be able to install Lexware financial Office...

    You can always buy CS6, but they may require that you're upgrading of CS5.5 and Flash Pro 8 is earlier than CS1.

  • Impossible to update Shockwave Flash plugin

    I'm only updating Shockwave Flash because the plugin page says to do so; Otherwise, I have no problems. The sequence of update I'm having problems is different from those described by others:
    (1) check the updates of the plugin: Shockwave Flash 11.1 r102 was highlighted as 'Vulnerable' with red UPDATE NOW.
    (2) click on update now and was prompted to download Adobe Flash Player 11.1.102.62 (no Shockwave Flash); Downloaded ran .exe install file. Closed Firefox installation, such as requested and installation is complete.

    I followed the prompt to update Flash Player as usual, which opened and ran through Internet Explorer (sharing computer, IE is the default browser). After download and installation of update of the FP, it opened the "Step 3" FP in Firefox page, apparently it crashing in the process.
