  "Error loading Workflow Updater" occurs when an update patch is corrupt. Please see: errors in the Installation and launch journal | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 for more information.  If you haven't done so already, please try to download the updates of Adobe - Creative Suite: for Windows.

  Just reloaded Adobe Creative Suite 5 Production Premium. Cannot download updates in one of the programs in CS5.  Continually message "there was an error downloading this update. Quit and try again later. "Cannot go beyond that!  Any ideas?

  Does anyone know if there is a problem of compatibility with the Mavericks and CS5? Is there a solution for this?

  I know it's late, but I just encountered this problem even after you have reinstalled cs5 on OS X 10.11

  Manual updates did not work, but I found this link to update the update manager that solved the problem:

  Yes, you are not required to have the software installed to be able to install and activate an upgrade.  If you migrate to CS6 then when you go to turn it on you will be able to specify the eligible previous version and then enter the serial number for this older version.

  Your concerns are justified.  Adobe will provide you with is no longer a significant technical support.  I have an office with 5 designers and CS6.  I was forced to upgrade to creative cloud after that some users might no longer work on important documents.  Adobe support only response was that they could not help us unless we went to CC.  Once we improved the problem continued and they helped us finally to solve the problem.   Its very simple.  Adobe does not want the customers there to own anything.  You must purchase the software for at least a year by subscription and your work hostage.  My advice is to start to find and use other tools.  We started to search for other tools.

  I had problems with my iMac crashing since buying 12 months ago and after that 2 prior clean installs, I'm finally resorted to manually install all applications after a third clean installed.

  I have CS5 Design Standard (on disk) was updated since CS2 Premium. I tried to install CS5 put can't get pass the page where he wants to put me in the serial number of the previous product - it does not offer CS2 as an option in the menu dropdown. Only CS3 and more. I have the correct serial numbers registered with Adobe and CS5 update was purchased to work with CS2 and has worked for the past 5 years

  First install CS2 will not work because it's a Power PC app I download a copy of CS5 now in the hope that the installation process will be happy with the serial number alone, although I'm guessing he will want me reselect the previous product and it will give me the option to select CS2?

  I had to ask Adobe to generate a new serial number that will bypass I hope the part of CS2.
