Update of HP Compaq P6203W mother.

Well, with dogs so close guard on the horizon, I thought it's time to look at my computer beyond the GPU upgrade. I looked around processors, I realized that to buy an old compatible with my motherboard Narra5 processor, would cost as much, if not more, than to buy a new card motherboard and CPU in total. And this is where my question begins:

Can I upgrade the HP Compaq P6203W motherboard, or it is on an exclusive mount?

Hello

The following link shows its specifications:

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01859861

It uses the standard "" µATX.

Kind regards.

    Surprisingly, I could still locate the Service Manual online:

    See p. 87. The BIOS has a VT and disable toggle, so you should get hardware virtualization if you install an approriate processor.

  • HP Compaq dc7700p: how to fix '1801 Microcode Update error' HP Compaq dc7700p Convertible Minitowers

    Hello

    I read and read this post for a few times and I'm not sure it will work on my PC so I have to ask, how to solve '1801 Microcode Update error' in HP Compaq dc7700p Convertible Minitowers I upgraded it with E7200 instead of the original E6300

    Here is the product number: p/n RN120ET #UUZ

    I am in a position to start and start windows, I don't know is that it works normally or not, I'm just bored with the startup message:

    Please HELP and thank you in advance!

    Hello:

    You must upgrade the BIOS to version to get rid of the error of microcode, and processor at half the speed of the FSB only works because the update of the BIOS was not written for the E7xxx processors work correctly.

    You will need to run this software whenever you enter windows and change the multiplier up.

    Or you can run this batch file listed on the bottom of Web page so that it runs automatically.

    http://CrystalMark.info/software/CrystalCPUID/index-e.html

    If I were you, I just install an E6700 Conroe and have an update without problem.

    You will need to use the BACK base flash because I don't think that there is an update of the BIOS written for W7.

    Don't go off, what do I do?   Thank you very much.

    He give some more time, 1/2 day.

    If you have hard to turn it off, and it stops working:

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If the above does not work, try to make a Bootable ERD to do a Startup Repair:
    As is the case with most computers/laptops these days, they do not come with good Vista disc to repair only the recovery disks.
    As your grave in the category above, download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair of the disc.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.
    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
    ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
    It's a very good Vista repair disc.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    There is not a disk of resettlement.
    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
    See you soon.
  • Updated my HP Compaq nw8440 Windows 8, but faced problems
    I upgraded my HP Compaq nw8440 Windows 8, but facing some problems. I have all the drivers I used on Windows 7 and I installed everything, but nothing seems yet intalled. No video card is installed, No Sound Card or any other device like finger print etc. More little programs like Adobe Photoshop does not run on it. Can you help me please?
    Hello:
    This time, your chance is probably exhausted.
    While I was able to help you get everything working on W7 which was not supported in your notebook for the last time, I think that W8 is not going to work.
    In any case, nothing venture nothing have nothing, so let's give it a try.
    First of all, download and run the graphics driver for Vista. Conclusion of any errors that may appear.
    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=1839152&prodNameId=1839208&swEnvOID=2103&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ob-71898-1
    Go to Device Manager and click on the display of the maps section to show the Microsoft base adapter display.
    Click on that and then click on update driver driver. Select the 'Browse my computer for the software' and navigate to the installation folder that was created when you ran the file.  Who will be in C:\SWSetup\sp43656. Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and if all goes well, the driver will be installed.
    Do the same for the audio driver.  Simply browse through the number of different files.
    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=0&prodSeriesId=1839152&swItem=ob-54354-1&prodNameId=1839208&swEnvOID=2103&swLang=8&TaskID=135&mode=5
    If the audio driver will not install, access device, being connected to the internet Manager, click the multimedia audio controller and click on the driver tab, click on update driver then Auto search. See if windows update detects a driver that works.
    You should try to install the driver of fingerprints of Vista and see if it works. Try to Auto or manual.
    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=1839152&swItem=ob-60526-1&prodNameId=1839208&swEnvOID=2103&swLang=8&taskId=135&mode=5
    You can try the software W8 protect the tools of this model and see if it records your fingerprint.
    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=5212907&prodNameId=5212908&swEnvOID=4132&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ob-114888-1
    If none of this works, abandon any hope of obtaining W8 work on your PC, and back to W7.
  • update of hp compaq nc6000
    Please can someone help me, I want to improve my hp nc6000 by upgrading the processor pentium m 1.6 GHz 725
    Intel pentium m 2.26 GHz is it possible? Note that the type of Package of the two processor 478 pin Micro-FC-PGA
    CA anyone help me with this problem?
    2 questions: cpu replacement must be the same speed of the fsb. Check intel.com for a list of the features of centrino processors. Secondly, the BIOS of the laptop must be able to accept the new processor. This usually isn't a big problem, but unless find you another case history where someone successfully tried the same upgrade, you will know for sure it will work until you try it. HP recognize and support updates on laptops. If you upgrade to another cpu available to the origin of the factory, you are certain to be safe, but if I remember the nc6000 was only offered with up to a 1.86 centrino cpu.
  • Update CPU for compaq dc5750
    I seeks to upgrade one Promodc5750s/A64-38/80hnw/10R4k us for a dual core, but can not find definitive information if it is a socket AM2 or maybe a rare 939 mobo.   I guess it's AM2, but do not want to burn cash on a part that does not.
    The p/n is RT740UT #ABA
    Y at - there no marking on the mobo?  Know the part number?
    Thank you in advance to anyone who might be kind enough to offer advice.
    Best,
    Roscopico
    The mother card processors are socket AM2. The series of socket 939 AMD Athlon 64 X 2 only went up to 4800 +.
    You can tell by using the part number HP CPU as keyword when you search Google or Bing.
    Here is an example of the card mother mother found on eBay. The specifications also specify socket AM2.
    Here is the guide Service and maintenance with a list of all compatible CPUs from AMD.
    Thank you
    Make sure that your antivirus program is disabled. It should be in safe mode, but check to be sure.
    If the antivirus program is active for a windows-based BIOS flash, the antivirus program may try to interrupt the flash 'think' a virus attacks the BIOS. A BIOS flash interrupted computer = death.
  • Update of HP Compaq 610 wireless card
    Hi, I have a Compaq 610 with Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T5870 2 GHz processor.
    Windows 7 64 bit
    The wireless adapter is the 3945ABG. Can I change this card with 4965AGN?
    Thank you.
    Hello:
    Here is the service manual for your laptop.
    http://bizsupport1.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c01787889/c01787889.PDF
    Supported maps wireless network with HP part numbers can be found in Chapter 3, beginning on page 3-6.
    The 4965 is not supported, but if you are looking for card Wireless-N dual band (2.4/5.0 GHz), with map of BCM 4322 AGN.
    Buy indicated part number that works for the country where you live.
    You can probably get a real cheap on eBay.
    Questioned by the HP part number, not by the model of the card.
    Cards without the HP part number will not work.
