Update of metadata using Photos

I use Photos with OS X. I'm starting to import my photos in it. In the past, I used the Picasa software, and when I added tags and GPS data, it updated the photo metadata. In pictures, I use the referenced pictures, for original photos remain on the hard drive. When I add tags and GPS data to a photo, it will not refresh the metadata in the original photo. It only stores the information in its database. It would be a good complement to the pictures if I could do it.

1 - pictures never alters the original - to apply changes export you

2 - pictures never any to any file outside its database, so nothing do you on Photo never apply to a referenced photo (until you export as indicated above)

3 - reference libraries are not recommended with Photos - they create more work, a lot of problems and there is no advantage at all to use - it is on iPHoo but still applies to Photos - iPhoto and file management

4. with Photos, you can easily convert it to a library managed by using the file menu ==> consolidate command - I suggest that you consider making that

  • Update of metadata in ESP 12

    Example:

I have a picture with the BIG BLUE MOON label. I'm updating the metadata and any program I use, I see the BIG BLUE MOON tag.

On the road, I decided to change the name of this tag for BLUE MOON, thus eliminating the BIG Word. I update the metadata.

Now, when I discover the metadata through any other program it has the two tags: Big Blue Moon and Blue Moon.

So now, I have to go through all my photos and manually delete the word BIG.

    Is there an easier way?

If you can still see the old tag in other programs, it is because you have "writing metadata to files", otherwise the tags would only be known to your catalog.

You can get rid of the unwanted PSE11 and PSE12 tag:

Select all files with the tag unwanted in the Organizer. In the Info Panel, click the "Edit IPTC information" button. From here, you can manage (modify, replace or add new tags) data in the metadata section of your image files.

  • Update this week, retouch photo in ch & now GIMP is borked.

I installed the updated OS X (10.11.3) to my MacBook this week, and now all the photos I have change lose color. They look very good on my screen, but if I look at them with another device or an excerpt of "save for web" in Photoshop, they are all washed out. What happens in GIMP and Photoshop CS6, and I don't think it could be related to the update, except that the photos, I edited in GIMP and put online before the update in the same way using the original files same air well. Is there a way that this update may have caused it? I don't see how, but maybe someone else can.

FWIW, I tried all the suggestions of color profile that I could find related to PS & GIMP, nothing helps. I would revert to the backup before update, but that would mean losing a few days of work. If this is the only way, I can move the new files on Dropbox and put back them then, but I would really rather avoid that hassle.

And of course once I posted this I realized the problem. My apologies.

I installed v4.5 installer that allows enabling or disabling updates. Paint Shop appears but the box is not checked, so the installer must ignore, right?

Using msconfig, I can find nothing in startup or services that will completely eliminate the problem, Evin with instaler disabled, Setup window will start to blink during boot computer has been scanned and cleaned with Security Essentials, SuperAntiSpy and Spybot. \

There is a key in registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\ referring to it.

  • Metadata Windows 7 I tend to take a lot of pictures and I want to be able to add metadata to photos that I know what talking about photography,

    original title: metadata Windows 7

I tend to take a lot of pictures and I want to be able to add metadata to photos that I know what talking about the picture, where it was taken, the people of marking on the photo, etc. I used the Windows 7 Explorer to add metadata to photos (the pane at the bottom of the Explorer or by doing a right click and using the properties--> details recording here). Everything's all right. But the addition of data to hundreds of photos is a very demanding task. Therefore, I wanted some advice on the following questions before that I seriously undertake this work on thousands of photos:

    1. If I add metadata to photos using the Windows 7 Explorer, and then copy the photos to another computer with Windows XP, I keep all the metadata information that I added in Windows 7 and be able to read in the Explorer of Windows XP? Or will I lose all the metadata as we can add in a specific Windows 7 format, unreadable by Windows XP? Or even that I lost a part of metadata (fields newly added in Windows 7, in case some [which?])?
    2. These metadata will be compatible in the future versions of Windows? If I upgrade to a later version of Windows (whenever it comes out), my metadata laboriously added will be present and readable as well as all the pictures?
    3. Is metadata embedded in the file or is it stored in another table inside the Windows OS? I know this because, to wire different versions of Windows, I have totally lose the metadata when I copy the photos or that it will be present in the Interior photos but will only be unreadable?

If I lose any of my metadata on different versions of Windows, then this method of recording information of the photo seems unnecessary. If this is the case, can someone advise me the best method to save the details of the photos inside photos so that they are available (and readable), everywhere where the photo is taken or copied.

    Hi mnae,.

If you add metadata to photos and then to copy the photos to another computer it keeps all the metadata information that you added.

If you upgrade to a version more recent Windows information will be preserved. Metadata are embedded in the file only.

I suggest that you first test with some files and check.

  • Update the metadata of HFM 11.1.2.3

    Hello

I update the metadata in HFM application. Version - 11.1.2.3 Classic application. I extracted the HFM workspace metadata and update dimension members by using the HFM desktop client.

What will be the impact on the data if I'm changing the hierarchy in the app metadata file (I'm not remove all members.) Just create new members and change the hierarchy of existing members)? It erases data from HFM applications after loading the metadata file updated through the workspace?

    Thank you

    Michel K

Hello. Your level of database will not be affected if you do not remove members at the basic level. For members of parent, if you change the descendants, it depends. If account or custom dimensions, everything is recalculated in the memory as requested, so the change is retroactive. For entities, it depends on if you help org by period and/or parent entities of locking. If one or both of those, entity hierarchy changes generally will not be affected. If you do not either of them, the hierarchy is affected, but you will need to rebind the data in order for the changes to be aggregated.

  • Update the metadata of the physical elements

    Hello

I have an obligation to update a metadata value for a bulk of the physical elements according to some criteria. The process that I tried to apply using the global updating feature, but the metadata of the physical elements (dDocName) are not in the query list.

Therefore, I am not able to update. I don't want to update the database.

Can anyone suggest what procedure should I follow to respond to my request?

    Thanks in advance.

even I don't get any error in the newspaper. can someone please give me resolution on it.

    any help will be appreciated

    Concerning

    Sery

    Hey Shiva.

In regard to your original question, solve it correctly using SST. Just to remember the steps do not forget to assign a path of the cookie to the application of your portal.

    (1) configure connection WCP - UCM

    (2) configure ESS to access using the same port at WCP and UCM.

    (3) configure weblogic.xml add a cookie path using the same value as your context root: example: /myportal

Regarding login confirmation you need SSO solution configured between your WCP and your WCC (OAM, Kerberos SSO, Oracle OSSO)....

How to set up SSO for WebCenter Portal frame remember to add to the configuration of the CLIENT-CERT authentication.

    Kind regards.

I have created a slideshow using Photos app. I wish that the images will appear randomly (as they can in Power Point), but I don't see where in the settings that allows this. Any thoughts?

There is no option in Photos for MAc that allows you to randomly pull a slide show.

You can create an album and have the album as an instant slide show in a random order using an Apple Script.

See this link: Script: Shuffle Photos for an instant slide show in a random order

  • HP Photosmart 7510 won't use photo black ink

I have a photosmart 7510 printer and I am printing from microsoft word 2010 on a windows 8. I print a word with no pictures in document. Printer preferences are on plain paper with normal quality. I can't the printer to use the XL Black ink cartridge. It only uses photo black ink. Is there a setting that I can choose to let him use the regular black ink?

    Hi shirsar,

I understand that you have a Photosmart 7510 which seems to use a lot more than regular black ink black photo. I'm sorry to hear that, but think I can help you with a solution.

You can set the printer to use only black ink when printing from the PC and ensures that it uses black ink and no ink picture. My instructions will be set up in the pilot if he does for all programs (if you just want to program it please let me know, and I advise you more). You'll want to start by going to your start screen, and simply start typing devices and printers, and you want to open that (if that is not in the work Panel type and then proceed to open devices and printers). Once the devices and printers is open, right-click on your Photosmart 7510 icon and select Printing Preferences. You'll want to then click on the Advanced Options button at the bottom right of the screen. The next page that appears will allow you to set the printer to use black ink only when printing from the PC (please follow the screenshot below for any clarification).

Hope this helps, have a nice day!
