update to iTunes was unable to reinstall on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Never had problems before with the iTunes update. I never had to do anything other than accept the agreement, follow the guests and clicked on 'Finish' at the end of the installation. But the update which took place 2 days ago impossible to install, with a message to get the 64-bit version of iTunes, even if iTunes were still installed on the 64 - bit OS computer. After countless hours of uninstalling and reinstalling and registry clean up, now I'm coming to 2 consecutive relocations with the following error message:
Could not open key:

I read the other postings with the same error message but no answers here or on the Apple's site forum. I'd appreciate any help, solution or whatever.
Thank you.

Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit OS is unable to complete the installation.
Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit OS is unable to complete the installation.
I have a Dell Inspiron 530 of 2007 which came with Vista and has been updated 2 years later at 7 w. I had to reinstall 7 W... 3 or 4 times since 2010. I guess that my machine can't handle W7 very well.My current problem started with a BSOD problem. After trying some suggestions Internet on how to solve this BSOD problem that did not work, including repair of Windows, I did a data back up mode without failure and then decide to reinstall Windows 7 from the MS CD. My level of understanding is limited, but as noted, I've done this before with success. What I didn't understand is there seems to be another unsolved problem which does not allow the complete reinstallation of windows.I did a clean install, then a formatting and in both cases, W7 could not complete the installation. It progresses to the final stage of "complete installation" and then there is a second error message 1 that I can't read... "" a problem has been detected... close... "." It seems to be a reboot loop.I have since read that the original BSOD problem and the 'detected problem' could also well be linked to the display driver. And this driver it must be disabled before performing a Windows installation. But I'm not able to access Safe Mode or the control panel to turn it off. If this driver is the problem, is there another way to turn it off?Or are there any other suggestions on how to complete the installation of the operating system?Thank you.I see that you have posted on the Dell desktop Forums and Robert (rdunnill) gave you a suggestion. Why Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit installs not Windows updates?
I am not able to download and install Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit windows update. This Gateway laptop has always been able to quickly and easily install the update by clicking windows update. However, since the introduction of Windows 10 it has been a lot of your time trying to install updates. I had this same problem with Windows 7 too. Never before there was no problem for the two operating systems. Installation of Windows updates has always been easy and fast without any problem. Running the troubleshooting isn't good and hunting error codes has been unproductive. What the hell is happening?
Hi Joe Cool1:
'Check for updates...' crashes and slow Windows updates currently affect the SP2 for Vista and Win 7 SP1 users, and I doubt it's a coincidence that Microsoft has ended mainstream support and only provides support for these two operating systems. The evidence points more to a problem with the Windows Update Agent (WUA Vista, C:\Windows\system32\wuaueng.dll v7.6.7600.256 has not been updated since June 2012) and the problem tends to be more prevalent on computers with slower processors and a limited amount of RAM.
There are step-by-step instructions posted on 16 June 2016 wire m #l's updates doesn't work do not, he has been looking for updates to the hours which should speed up Windows Update for both for Win 7 SP1 and SP2 for Vista. The instructions were for users of Vista, so when you reach step 4 just use the appropriate links of Win 7 on the page Web of Dalia http://wu.krelay.de/en/ (Win 7 x 64 if you have 64-bit Win 7 OS;) Win 7 x 86 if you have a 32-bit Win 7 OS) to download packages update stand-alone correct (.msu files) for missing Windows kernel mode driver (Win32K.sys) updates on your Win 7 machine.
You can also find some useful tips in entry 9 August 2016 Microsoft MVP Woody Leonhard on his Woody on Windows InfoWorld blog titled 2 easy steps to speed up scans of Windows 7 update that includes detailed instructions for the use of circumvention of Dalai to http://wu.krelay.de/en/. Woody's workaround for Dalai to speed up Windows Update to users as well Win 7 SP1 and SP2 for Vista.

Hello
You are unable to update or upgrade Vista 32 bit to 64 bit of Vista.
32-bit to 64-bit, or 64 bit to 32 bit is done by a new installation using a full version of the operating system.

Re-installation of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit on laptop it was installed before
I have a Toshiba laptop (model A665-S6050) that I fixed. He had a broken screen and hard drive was dead. I tried to install Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit from a disc that came with another computer and using the product key on the bottom of the laptop. It did not work. Is there a good way to do a fresh install on this laptop, and I need a specific installation DVD? Where can I get this, and what is the procedure of re - install Windows 7 and activate it?
Hello
The only legal Windows 7 download available is now Microsoft, as Microsoft has stopped DigitalRiver Windows 7 ISO downloads.
http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery
But Microsoft only provides these downloads for Windows 7 keys to selling product at retail, not preinstalled OEM product keys (Dell, HP, etc.).
As you have a license of preinstalled OEM (Toshiba), contact the manufacturer of your computer to order recovery media that they need to provide for a fee, If they are still available...
Or you can also borrow the same exact detail Windows 7 Edition DVD and use your product key to reinstall.
The COA sticker with the product key is either or in the battery compartment on the underside of the laptop.
With a desktop computer, it's on the side, the back or the top of the computer case.

I have the product key for Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Where can I download it so I can reinstall on my laptop which has been often blocks? Disrupting my work. If you can please send me the link where I can download as soon as possible. Thank you very much for your help!
For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.
It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.
Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:

You do not have a Vista disc that came with the computer to reinstall with, you should have a recovery Partition to do.

I use Windows Vista Home Premium 32 - bit SP2.
Is there a way to delete the records of 'detail' of only updates of failure or cancelled in the history of Windows Update?
I just installed hotfix for Windows (KB947821).
It looks like a lot of my earlier 'failed' and 'Cancelled' updates are automatically updated and installed, and successfully, I might add.
Some dates in some records do not seem much sense. I guess I'm looking for a way to select the records, I want to get rid of.
Help?
Hi Jeffrey,.
It's not really a taken way in charge to remove only the cancelled or failed updates. These are taken from windows logs and displayed in the history. Steps that Jose post is a way to remove all files in history and will remove all updates as well as a failed/cancelled updates successfully.

Unable to connect on WIndows (Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit)
I have HP desk top (bought 3 years ago) with Windows 7 Home Premium. Today, after the regular windows updates, my PC has rebooted and showed me to the login to the accounts screen 2 user (both are protected by Word).
When I clicked on any of these accounts, he was asked to enter the password and tried to connect. But he couldn't and showed me back to 2 accounts login screen user.
I rebooted my system several times, but the situation is the same.
Please help me solve this.
Thank you best regards &,.

Hi Ludovic,.
Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused due to updates.
I suggest that you want to run auto repair with installation media and see if it helps you repair system files or not. For the execution of the task, I suggest you to try the steps below and see if it helps.
Method 1: When you use the recovery environment (Windows RE) to troubleshoot startup issues, first try the Startup Repair option in the System Recovery Options dialog box. If this does not resolve the problem, or if you have additional problems manually, use the Bootrec.exe tool.
Because you cannot start the computer, you may need to create a bootable Windows installation media, and then do an auto repair, and if this does not help then you try to restore your computer to the previous date.
Note: When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.
If you are using Windows 7 then the link provided below might help you to download and create installation media.
Download Windows 7 Disk Images (ISO files)
Method 2: If the problem persists, try to rebuild the BCD by using the Bootrec.exe tool. To run the Bootrec.exe tool, you must start Windows recovery environment (Windows RE) . To do this, follow these steps:
- Place the Windows 7 installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.
- Press a key when you are prompted. Select a language, a time, a currency, a keyboard or an input method, and then click Next.
- Click repair your computer.
- Click the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
- In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click command prompt.
- Type Bootrec.exe, and then press ENTER.
See the following link for more information:
How to use the Bootrec.exe tool in the Windows recovery environment to troubleshoot and repair startup issues in Windows
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/927392
Method 3: If after performing the above steps, you are able to start the computer and access the desktop then try to Uninstall KB3097877 update if it is installed, and then reinstall it.
Hope it would help. If problem persists always post back with the current state of your computer and the result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to help you.

SSDT AMD PowerNowI'm afraid that someone will end you in completely in the wrong direction on this. The recovery media is probably completely OK.
The HP SLIC has absolutely nothing to do with the windows you are trying to install, but stands in the BIOS of the laptop. Someone hacked the BIOS Acer to tell windows antifeatures of piracy which is HP laptop, presumably so that they could use HP media instead. Reinstalling Windows will not fix the BIOS.
All I can suggest is to download the Acer BIOS update files and try and install one to replace the SLIC entry. There is however 2 caveats to that. 1stly that the damaged area is not always included in the files to update the standard BIOS, so if you can run a BIOS update may not solve the problem. 2ndly some BIOS update programs you cannot install an older than the currently installed BIOS and one that fits in a first time (because it can be complete) would be the version original factory.
It's not all just Microsoft to blame for this issue when it was caused by someone trying to circumvent the measures to combat software piracy that any developer has the right to use. As said from your description that it is only a problem due to fraudulent activity.
Also when you are communicating on this forum you're not dealing with Microsoft, all the people here are voluntary and have no direct involvement with Microsoft to help posters like you.

Pavilion dv4 3138tx drivers after reinstalling plain windows 7 Home premium
My Pavilion DV4 3138tx laptop recovery disk was crushed, and HP did not recovery disk when you bought it. I need to download the windows 7 Home premium of the site "mydigitallife.info' to download the legalized 7 reinstallation windows image. After installation, OS works, but a lot of drivers seem doesn't work does not, for example, the ethernet network controller. I tried to download the driver from the official site of HP for the 3138tx model, which is network realtek LAN driver, but after installing, it says "xxx file not found", somehow, it does not work, and HP support told me that they cannot help me, asked me to go to realtek... I looked towards the top of the network controller hardware ID, it's PCI/VEN10EC DEV8168SUBSYS... @$ %& ^ * (& ^, I looked in google, it's the for a 10/100/1000 gigabit LAN network card realtek chip.) Very strange, can anyone help me?
As per the advice of HP, I also tried to reinstall the chipset driver, appearing on the official website of HP for 3138tx drivers model, it did not help either. My laptop was bought in Malaysia with origial windows 7 Home premium edition in English, the product key at the bottom of the machine.
