• BlackBerry Smartphones PC and Desktop Manager cannot detect my 8520 phone

  My PC and Blackberry Desktop Manager do not detect my 8520 phone when connected to my PC.  I tried all the suggestions for example remove/replace battery and reinstall the desktop software. But when I look under Ports, in my device manager there are two entrances: -.

  RIM Virtual Serial Port (Com4) v2

  Is there are two entrances, and this could be the source of my problem?

  I see that a lot of timing issues lately, forced windows security update last week looks like maybe it's the culprit. Reinstall DTM has set for a few PC for me. Just think if you want to uninstall 4.3, might as well update on installation.

  • Pack Desktop Manager

  the Desktop Manager pack contains:

  • BlackBerry Desktop Manager only
  • Roxio Media Player (optional)
  • BlackBerry Media Sync (optional)

  the BlackBerry Desktop Manager includes:

  • a module of configuration BES or BIS (but not both)
  • a module to synchronize databases with a PIM desktop like Microsoft Outlook or IBM Lotus Notes (contacts, tasks, calendar)
  • backup / restore of module
  • an Application Loader module (which acts both as an installer of the OS and a theme/app Installer)

  on top of all that you have drivers USB BlackBerry for BlackBerry devices.

  I have the Torch 9800 and I am running Wndows XP with the latest version of the Desktop Manager.

  Until two weeks ago, my phone and computer communicated beautifully, synchronization, backups, sharing files, everything. But last week my computer and the phone seemed not to see eachother and now nothing happens when I plug my phone. The phone goes to the "clock" screen as if it is plugged into a charger and don't show a problem with the connection on his end, but the computer does not show that anything was connected.

  OK, I didn't.  You were very detailed in the listing of your steps you had done... everything except these.

  I would try another PC or laptop.

  Want to check your USB port device isn't bad.

  I know you said the clock in bedside mode appears, but which can still work sometimes even if other functions have ceased. Try on a friend's PC.

• BlackBerry Smartphones Windows 7 and Desktop Manager

  Hi, I have a 8700 c runs the last device from AT & T (4.5.110) software.  I recently installed Windows 7 Build 7000, and I can't connect with my BB via USB.  Office Manager starts and begins to communicate via USB, then crashes.  If I disconnect and reconnect the USB, the program quickly continues, but I am unable to sync or to downgrade the software for the device.

  I'm not trying to use the media, just the Desktop Manager Manager.  I'vetried to reinstall Desktop Manager 4.7 and 4.6; also the software of the device.  I tried Troubleshooting compatibility for the Desktop Manager and the charger.

  Nothing seems to help.  My computer is a Thinkpad T60.

  If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate it.

  I built a profitability management application and costs in the workspace. I have validated and deployed it sucessuflly. But when I try to open the app, I am not able to see profitability in the Menu or Navigate menu open in the workspace.
  
  Can someone tell what could be the cause for this?

  I created the Group application separately Profitabiilty and costs in Services management shared.

• How can I close daily notices of upgrade from Java (Oracle), Asus, and Adobe?

  I received the notice of upgrade of various software companies which I use often. Reviews of pop up every time I turn on the computer and I see no way to disable them. Makes me crazy. Settings Windows can automatically update and it's OK. I do not wish to upgrade other software because it's interminable bunch of stuff, that I'll never use anyway.  I don't want to eliminate them completely in the case where at that time I wish it. • Update iOS 9.2 broken keychain and increased the application launch time

  I've just updated to iOS 9.2 on my 6 64GB iPhone and I noticed a few serious problems including cold taking app launches 6 seconds for all applications.

  I then ran a gentle restoration of 9.2 and restoring froze completely when you enter a password. Looking at the logs of device using the browser of journal of Xcode device I saw several calls for the keychain of the unit that didn't exist recursively

  I have exactly the same problem. After the upgrade to iOS 9.2, tapping the icon freezes the phone for 5-6 seconds before running the zoom-in animation. I tested on different devices and the problem seems to occur only on devices used for development and only on non-Apple applications. I tried to delete all profiles of development and certificates, did a hard reset but the problem persists. I use a 6 64GB iPhone

• Problems with Aero and Desktop Manager

  All these problems started after I downloaded an upgrade of windows (last year I think). Whenever I started my computer to the taskbar and stuff Aero initiated very well, then after a few seconds the taskbar became white and disable Aero. Now, it is even worse, Windows just to start with the Basic (looking for old windows) theme and even if I try to restart the Desktop Window Manager, it will not work. Yesterday I installed and Nvidia card (the PC came with a built-in video chip only) and I was hoping to get the fix for the problem, but did not *. I also downloaded the Fix Aero tool and nothing. Even the msconfig.exe won't help. What can I do? It frustrates me.

• BlackBerry smartphones "BOLD" problem Calendar Sync with PocketMac and Desktop Manager 4.6

  # The RIM case: 5499753

  I have 4 email addresses attached to my BB "BOLD".
  When I go into Options / Advanced / Default Services / calendar, I have 4 entries (all e-mail addresses).

  If I go to calendar, Options, there are all of an additional entry in "Default device" 4 as well as e-mail addresses.

  Regarding the calendar by address entries, it is divided as follows:

  Email 1) 1
  E-mail 2) 0
  Email 3) 50
  Default device) 38
  Email 5) 0

  When I try to synchronize, the desktop software sees only the #3 email that is my rogers.blackberry.net with 50 entries and sync in Outlook, resulting in a loss of events in my Outlook on my desktop. All events are still in bold.

  I can not also move all the elements of the default device and assign it to the category E-mail no. 3, which reduced from 38 to 37 and from 50 to 51.
  Once you have received an entry on the device, you cannot change the e-mail addresses associated with the event.

  Removing the servicebooks (CICAL all) the default device entry has the combined entries.

  Once the service books are sent to the device, it then splits them again.

  This seems to be a problem with the Blackberry "BOLD" operating system, or a problem of service book (since when CICAL service books are deleted, calendar entries all combine for peripheral list by default.)

  This also happens on WinXP with 4.6 DM, is not platform specific.

  OS: 4.6.0.125 & 4.6.0.134 tempted.  Both have the same result.

  Just got off the phone with RIM support.

  Here is the procedure:

  All backup data

  Do a thorough cleaning (Options, Security Options, General settings)

  Content compression set to disabled

  Save the settings

  Return to the General settings, Blackberry press button and wipe Handheld.

  Load DM and go to the backup/restore, advanced.

  Load your backup file.

  Restore only the peripheral calendar (drag the calendar on the right)

  You should be able to see in the calendar options, device default calendar with all the entries.

  Synchronize in Outlook.

  At this point, you should have all your entries in Outlook.

  Hard Reset (press left ALT + SHIFT RIGHT + DELETE and hold the button until it restarts the device)

  Go to the website of your provider BIS and remove all the entries that you want as the default calendar.

  Set the date and time on the device.

  Turn on the wireless Radio

  Return Service directories from the BIS website.

  Go to Options, advanced, default Services.

  Set default CICAL (this should be the one you really want to like the calendar by default and the only one on the device).

  Set the default CMIME if necessary.

  Add the e-mail addresses that you deleted on the BIS website.

  Return service directories.

  You should have all your e-mail addresses and no. peripheral in your calendar, by default.

  All entries in the calendar should be associated with the address you chose as the default value.

  Resync using DM.

  Note - PocketMac 4.1.25 is not supported with the "BOLD".

  This creates blockages and major sync issues.

  I have run this procedure from a computer running Windows XP with Office 2003.

  I have problems with the application of the eOffice Ted. Ted is on the BB; Ted Desktop is on the PC. Ted Desktop does not contact the BB even if BB is connected.

  When I view the Applications in the Office Manager, the application of Ted is verified, but "in gray. I can't uncheck or delete.

  Question - probably causing the 'gray out '? How can I solve the 'gray out' so I can disable/remove the application?

  Got a response from QuickOffice earlier today... the application of Ted is an integral part of the eOffice and is "grayed out" so that it cannot be deleted.
