I can't give you a simple answer because it must identify the cause of the problem before you can solve it.  That's what will make these procedures. If you really want a simpler answer, just do a repair/upgrade system as described above (which is almost the last option resort) and who will most likely solve the problem without going through all the other measures that are designed to avoid this option if possible...

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Cannot delete the new title bar pop up on the windows in the background

Firefox updated accidentally somehow while I was away and now I have a popup title bar appearing in background windows (like in my two monitors) that covers my data until I make that window active.
I don't know what it's called, so cannot search terms it.
Cannot find any references to it.
It drives me crazy and I'm naïve, for once.

  • Satellite L650D - 15K - graphics card problem

    Hello

I updated accidentally driver graphic card ATI Radeon 5650 on the laptop, and then during the games and video look, the computer became very slow, the CPU usage is average on 60%.

I uninstalled the latest driver, reinstalled the driver of my module provided on the Toshiba site (not the one on my computer, because I can not find where it is), but the problem remains, I don't know if the driver from the Web site is the same as on my laptop. It seems that there is some driver files that cannot always be deleted entirely. If I reinstall the whole system, I install and activate the software.

Can someone tell me what should I do now?

    Thank you.

Have you installed the latest driver ATI support page or the Toshiba download page?

I mean it is recommended to use the Toshiba drivers only. I can't say this but I've heard that installing the non-Toshiba drivers can change some important values in the GPU BIOS.

Of course, you can reinstall the recovery image and begin to use the laptop with factory again.
It will be interesting to know if everything will be like before again.

Back up all your important data, reinstalling the OS, test it and thanks for posting comments.

  • How can I get rid of 10 Windows bothering me?

I don't want Windows 10. Since December 17 I can't get updates for Windows 7!  All I get is the upgrade to Windows 10.  I hid it, but he still insists on stalking me.

I have Windows 7 and you want to keep and wish Microsoft would honor my decision and leave me alone. They do not make the updates for Windows 7 more and FORCE us to upgrade?

I don't want to update accidentally something that puts 10 Windows on my computer.  Why they push it continuously when a person doesn't?

    Thanks for any help here!

Take a look at the Control Panel of GWX

GWX Control Panel is a free program that allows you to perform the following operations on Windows 7 and Windows 8:

    • Remove the 'Get Windows 10' icon that appears in your notification area.
    • Your Windows Update control panel stop upgrading your computer to Windows 10.
    • Prevent your computer from downloading secretly Windows 10 installation files.
    • Detect and remove hidden Windows 10 installation files if they are already on your PC.
    • Eventually, monitor your computer for files and settings Windows 10 unwanted. (New in version 1.6).

GWX Panel really works, is safe and easy to use, and gives you the opportunity to reactivate the icon and update notifications if you are always willing to go forward with Windows 10.

  • How do I get rid of the search, I installed this program accidentally as he pretended to be an update of firefox?

Search took over my home page and the search page.
I understand that it is a malicious virus that is designed to send a lot of adds invade the PC and check out personal details.

I accidentally installed this while working on wordpress.
I have received several warnings that I need this update.
When I clicked on the page, I received a certificate of Norton who verified that it was safe.

I uninstalled in the list of programs to uninstall programs.

    Any help would be appreciated.

If you get a pop-up message asking to update Firefox or plugins then this message is probably a scam and you should never respond to such reporting to avoid being infected by malware.

    • Don't update Firefox via "> about" or by downloading and installing Firefox from Mozilla and server never using a popup or a link on a web page.
    • Plugins should be updated only through the plugin itself, or by visiting the home page of the plugin.

You can also do a check of malware with several digitization programs of malicious software on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.
All of these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

Alternatively, you can write a check for an infection rootkit TDSSKiller.

  • accidentally turned off during the update of windows

Guys, im using sony vaio with vista premium OS and it is automatically updated, I had used to remove my battery for use at home, during the update of windows, I accidentally kick off the power cord and it disconnected from the main power switch and turned off, when I open it I saw a note on the bottom right 'tm this copy of windows vista is not authentic.

someone could help me on this guys, how can I do recover without reformatting my laptop.

    Please help me guys...

    Thanks in advance...

Needless to say, cutting the current during the update process can cause all sorts of problems - many not even related to the update itself.  It is a common branching.

Do you know when this problem started?  Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.  I don't know if this will solve the problem, but it might.  It's worth a try (and it can be useful if there are other problems that you have not yet detected).  Whether or not it works, you will need to re - install the update (and this time won't turn off - LOL).

If you still have the problem of validation after system restore, and then click Start / computer / system properties and check the bottom of the Activation section.  Your system always shows that it is enabled?  If this isn't the case, then reactivate.  To activate manually, go to start, search, and type in slui 4 enter.  Enter your country and press Next.  You will be on a screen with a phone number and a bunch of codes below.  Dial the number and browse automatic guests until you get to a human being.  Have your handy product code because it will be asked.  Explain the situation, but it's the same PC.  They should give you a code to enter on this screen to activate Vista.

If this does not resolve the "not genuine" message, please post your problem in the Windows Genuine Advantage Forum: http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuinevista/threads , where the experts on this kind of problem will be more than happy to help you with your problem.  They will probably ask you to run a program and download the results so they can examine in order to find the problem - just follow their instructions.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Windows 7 BSOD after accidental shutdown during the update

Stop computer accidentally during the update of windows. Now computer stuck in a loop of startup blue screen. Safe mode and windows recovery all lead to the blue screen. I don't have a recovery disk. What should I do?

    Hello

According to the description of the problem, your computer is stuck in blue screen loop. So, I suggest you to create installation media by following the steps described in the article mentioned below and after that try to run automatic reapir.

Download Windows 7 Disk Images (ISO files)

After you create the Bootable USB key, change the boot priority and set it to USB. If you are unsure it is advisable to contact manufacturer FRO even. After changing the boot priority is trying to start your computer by using the bootable USB key.

To run the repair to start the Windows recovery environment (WinRE), follow these steps:

    • Insert the Windows installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.
    • When the message press any key to start from the CD or DVD is displayed, press a key.
    • If your PC does not automatically detect the media
    • When the computer reboots, read on screen for instructions that explain how to interrupt normal startup and access the basic input/output system (BIOS) configuration utility. Most PCs use the F2, F10, ESC or del key to start the configuration of the BIOS.
    • Looking for a tab in the BIOS configuration utility that is labeled boot order, The Options of Bootor Boot. By following the instructions on the screen, use the arrow keys to go to the boot order, and then press ENTER.
    • Locate the flash USB, DVD or CD player (this could be called removable device) in the startup list. By following the instructions on the screen, use the arrow keys to move the drive to the top so that it appears first in the startup list. Press ENTER. The startup command sequence is now changed to boot from the flash drive, CD, DVD, or USB.
    • Press F10 to save your changes and exit the BIOS Setup utility. Select Yes in the confirmation window. The PC will restart.
    • Select a language, a time and a currency, a keyboard or input method, and then click Next.
    • Click on repair your computer.
    • In the System Recovery Options dialog box, select the drive of your Windows installation, and then click Next.
    • In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click on repair your computer.
    • Click the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
    • In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click Startup Repair.

For more information about System Recovery Options, see What are the system recovery options in Windows?

For more information about the Startup Repair, see Startup Repair: frequently asked questions.

Hope it would help. If problem persists always post back with the current state of your computer and the result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to help you.

    Kind regards

  • How to restore a bios? accidentally flashed my dm4-2070us by updating the drivers

How to restore a bios? accidentally flashed my dm4-2070us while update the drivers with insydeflash, ran the configuration automatically thing and my phone then froze... when I type with my keyboard keys don't work to register and there is an occasional clicking sound coming from the touchpad... I would return my dm4-2070us for a new? is it possible to restore my bios? is the damaged mobo etc should I change just for a new?

If you can exchange it for another, it would be the best thing to do. There are some things to try to save the BIOS, but most of the time, they do not work.

Do you have important files on the hard drive, there is a way to save those?
