  If these steps is not enough you can follow these methods and check if it works:

  Method 1: I you recommend to turn off the computer, unplug the power, restart the computer and reconnect the USB device. See if the device is detected.

  You forgot to tell us where you try to save files. You may be trying to save them in directories protected like the root of %systemdrive%\lopr.txt, Program Files or Windows. After you protect the directories is common with many modern exploitation, not only Windows Vista and Windows 7 systems. It's a good thing if you think that whether or not.

  What is not not the administrator, even if you are running in an administrator account (no best practices - see below), you still need to raise the privilege when overall changes to the operating system.

  If you try to save files in your user directory and failing, please let us know. Otherwise the OS works as expected. If you find it too shocking, then you can always switch to another operating system. However, be aware that you will find the same 'limitations' in Linux and OS X. And nobody knows what he/she does would run as root under Linux.

  You don't have your system set up optimal about users. You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all the other modern operating systems, Vista and Windows 7 are OS multi-user with system built-in accounts such as administrator, by default, all users and guest.   Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

  Sometimes pages are not updated immediately when an update is available.  Usually the SOFTPAQ or the update is delayed on FTP server in terms of publication but is usually provided by other means (HP Support Assistant, mechanisms to update independent software etc.)

  First talk you about selection of a network, and then say that there are no compatible backups. Do you have an older device? Having problems connecting to Wi - Fi, or restore a backup problems?
