  I sent my email to Microsoft ended Sunday night. To my surprise, there was an answer waiting for me on Monday morning. I know that it came from China - in part of the name of the sender & partly because my Jan 3 was not a holiday for them - I didn't expect "the next business day.

After I did I checked a few times to update Windows Installer a few high priority updates that have shown, until there is no more high priority updates available. The final check was carried out Tuesday am after a night at the request of automatic update. "Update History" showed no activity download this automatic update, & even when there is no update available high priority. At one point during the activity on Monday, the icon who has shown in the taskbar with updates of repetition missing & no has not returned. So - it seems that the problem is solved.
