BlackBerry 10 unable to receive notifications of text of 1 contact

I read a lot of other users having the same problem as me, but nothing helped. It is also always that contact messaged. I am able to send and receive texts from everyone except for ONE person. I know only she sent a text if I manually type in his name, as if I'm composing a text message to it. Then only, our chat history is displayed. Otherwise there is no indication on my screen, either, that we have been in contact.

Please please please help. I have a classic Blackberry, but the problem is software and not specific phone. Many others have had the same problem. Its very frustrating because he is the person I'm talking for the most part, MY WIFE! and this seems to be the case for everyone else having the same problem.

OK, here's what worked for me. (still can't believe that I should understand this and nobody has a clear solution)

  • Chat finished, deleted all the text messages with the contact that doesn't show notifications.
  • Repeat the step above to ensure that there is ZERO text of my wife.
  • Removed from his contacts, and all delete/no related all profiles (facebook, etc). I did all this in the menu contacts after clicking on the name of his contact specifically.
  • I had even then go on my Outlook where all contacts are stored and remove its details it.
  • Then, I picked up the phone.
  • Then once it was back on, I took out the Sim Card. Make sure the phone is turned on.
  • Then I turned off the phone.
  • Put the SIM card
  • And turned on the phone. THEN IT WORKED!

I know it sucks to have to do all this, but I was at my breaking point. I was about to buy another brand!

    I got my Blackberry Curve 8900 for 6 or 7 months without any problem since last night, I was unable to receive emails (apart from my t-mobile e-mail account), but I can send emails from all accounts.     Try the reset device as mentioned below-

    When your device is turned on, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery. This do a reboot your device that minor problems with the BlackBerry.

    I can't understand how to send photos or video via a text message.  Can I receive, and I know that my service allows me to send it, because I had my parents added to my plan (AT & T family plan) and they can also send photos with their phones from wal-mart for $10.  Whenever I have search the Internet how to do this, they show screen phone calls with the menu that lists several options for how send a photo, and one of them is text.  My phone does not have this option if, whenever I hit send on a picture my only three options are e-mail, bluetooth and Tag (don't know exactly what it is, but when you select it says to place the back of the two phones together, is not an option in SMS language).  In addition, nowhere in my menu when composing a text find an option to add attachments. so I can send them this way or the other.

    HA, had fixed after only on the hour on the phone being bounced back from AT & T BlackBerry and vice versa. For anyone who purchases a phone off of the internet (ebay), even if it is new, it can be registered by a dealer or a supplier that offers no MMS messages and they will be blocked and do not come even to the top as an option on your phone. Your service provider will need to reactivate your phone with this provision. The Blackberry rep figured this out from my PIN thereafter, then I had to remind the representative of AT & T and to explain this, and yes he did not know what I was talking about but on the third try he managed successfully to fix.

    You can also go to Options | Advanced options | Maintenance book and remove the book Desktop [CMIME]. Then, go to Options | Security options | Information (or settings) and put in value the service bureau, press menu and select regenerate encryption key. See if you get a message saying "the key for the service has been updated. Then go to Options | Advanced options | Maintenance book and see if the book CMIME returns. If it is not hit the menu button and choose Undelete. Then try to see if you can receive an email.

    Otherwise, your IT Department may try to send the directories of service on your device. Or have wipe you the device and try to turn it back on. Or wipe the device and they would remove and add your account to the BES and you have reactivated

    Thanks for your suggestions. In the end, I managed to get it working again.  Here's how:

    As part of the PC Gmail: Inbox. I have "ignore filters" (apparently not there) and after a few minutes I started to receive emails on the BB.

    I'm developing an application of crossed with phonegap and Jquery mobile platform. I'm trying to implement push notifications for the blackberry application using PushWoosh.

    I noticed that I'm not able to receive notifications when the application is in the background, or when it is closed. I get notifications only when the application is in the foreground.

    IF you receive iMessages but not SMS - then I check with the carrier to see if your account is successfully configured for SMS since it is a function of carrier
