Updates security offered at several occasions. - KB2604092 & KB2636927

Original title: Windows security updates (* adds the title KB)

In my history of update, it shows two updates have been installed successfully several times. They are:

Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 on Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP x 86 (KB2604092), and
Update of security for Microsoft Silverlight (KB2636927)

But whenever I start my computer, the yellow shield appears and indicates that these updates are still required. When I turn off my computer, it installs them again.

I don't know if in fact they were not installed but just to show that they have been installed in the history, or if they were really installed and for some reason any somewhere in the system, it is not this.

Would appreciate any help I could get.

  • cannot install update security for Windows XP (KB2686509)

cannot install update security for Windows XP (KB2686509)

    Hello, gsfl Jg,

Open Windows Update and check if KB2686509 and KB2676562 are or are not installed.

When you tried to install the update, you would have received an error code.  Please return this zip code which lies in Windows Update.

Why this update is offered again several times?

Windows updates are revived until the update is installed on your computer. If this update is already, perhaps an installation failure has occurred. Check log files to install KB for the error codes. For example, the log file of installation KB for this security update would probably "C:\Windows\ KB2686509.log"
For more information about how to resolve these problems, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

958051 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958051/) you receive a "0x8007F0F4" error code when you try to install the updates on the Windows Update Web site or the Microsoft Update Web site

What should I do if the installation of this update fails with the error "0x8007F0F4"?

If you receive the "0x8007F0F4" error when you try to install this security update, follow these steps:

    1. Open the Faultykeyboard.log file that is located in the folder %windir%. This log file contains information about the registered keyboard layout files that are not in the folder % Windir%\System32. The log file will resemble the following:

      Keyboard1.dll.\Layoutfiles\keyboard2.dll C:\Windows\System\Kbda1.dll

Note In this example, the first entry is just a file name. The second entry includes a relative path with the name of the file. The third category includes a full path of the file.

    2. Copy the files that are listed in the Faultykeyboard.log log file in the System32 folder.

Note Contact Microsoft technical support if you can't find the Faultykeyboard.log file.

  • Two updates of Boot Camp several times offered in Apple Software Update (ASU)

On the Mac Pro 2013, did someone else repeatedly offered the

    (1) "graphics Driver Update for Boot Camp" (version 6.0) - 339 MB

    and then the

    (2) "Apple Boot Camp Update" (also v6.0) - 265 MB? It's a Mac of 2013 Pro Win 10 worm. 1511 running with an AMD over-pants GL D700. From the looks of #1, it was created in late March 2016 and pushed early April by Apple. 2nd one, judging by the. RAR-like icon (stack of books) and digital signature, it seems to be older (~ November 2015).

So I installed #1 and it updated my drivers 15.201 to 15.301 AMD. Yay. But then the next day that it prompted me to #2, so I installed it too much thinking he was not associated with graphics. Drivers AMD has not been restored after the installation of #2; they are still 15.301. But then I would get invited to update #1 once again, and if installed, then you are prompted for #2 even ONCE, then #1, wash, rinse, repeat.

For now, I've disabled #2 in Apple Software Update, so at least ASU is no longer * to me every day. Thinking that perhaps it would be Windows, crushing the Apple drivers, I did the part under Block Driver Update and there is only the Intel CPU components and bridges etc it. So I made the way to stop the automatic driver updates, but it made no difference, either:

    http://www.MakeUseOf.com/tag/take-back-control-driver-updates-Windows-10/

This was of no help either:

    http://www.howtogeek.com/223864/how-to-uninstall-and-block-updates-and-drivers-o n-windows-10.

I did not uninstall the ASU still (where would I reinstall?) or by downloading the Boot Camp driver again package (he used to update only to 10.9, 10.10, 10.11, etc. so I am skeptical, they changed just to 10.11.4).) Why not? Because I have not! et c’est un gaspillage freaking de mon temps. Whatever it is, no one knows for certain how do to repair or say Apple STOP OFFERING them several times?

    Thanks in advance!

Nice work on censorship outside ' b * Ching ", Apple. Because it is precisely what makes ASU home. Now fix your f * king questions Apple Software Update.

    Have a great day!

A security update (KB2584146) has been installed. After installation, it shows properly "installed". Yet, whenever I have re-boot or run Micrsoft update, it offers this update again. It shows also 'successful' in the history of my Microsaoft update. Win XP SP3 (Build 2600).

It's an old update. Wonder why you just get it now.

    First try this...
Click Start > run > type chkdsk/r > press OK or press the Enter key. A cmd window will appear telling you that the volume is in use and you want to plan its next reboot. Type y and press ENTER. Then restart.
Try to install the update and check that it installed properly by doing another analysis of Windows Update.

    If this does not do...
Download the update manually, on your desktop to the http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=28608.
Click Start > run > Browse. In the Browse dialog box, double-click WindowsXP-KB2584146 - x 86 - ENU.exe. The box open term should have the path now. Add a space and an x at the end.
Press OK or press the Enter key.
You will get a dialog box with the path to your desktop already filled.
After Office add a slash and the name of the folder so that we end up with something like C:\Documents and Settings\\Desktop\KB2584146.
Go to this folder, and then in the SP3GDR folder.
    You can see packager.exe.
    Right-click to copy.
In the box to run, type dllcache, then press on enter.
Paste the file in there, replacing the one already there.
In the run box, type system32, then press on enter.
Paste the file there too by crushing the already there.
Is there a lot of folder there. Make sure you do not paste in a subfolder. You want to the root of system32.

Go to Windows Update and confirm that it no longer wants to install.
