Updates to DirectX 11?

He says I have Directx version 11.  Are there updates Directx 11 that I may have missed?  How would I get them?  I can't play a few games because it says d3dx9_42.dll is missing... .and XINPUT1_3.dll is missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You must install the package update DirectX9 on the following site:

http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=2DA43D38-DB71-4C1B-BC6A-9B6652CD92A3&displaylang=en

Many programs still require DX9 to run.

  • Performance of poor game after the last update of DirectX. Can't go back.

    SUP ppl,
I did a clean install of Windows 7 on my laptop Dell D510 crap, then install the drivers for my on-board Intel 915GM video card. I then installed brothers in arms and hidden and dangerous 2. When I started up the two games, they ran very choppy, practically unplayable. After some troubleshooting, I realized that if I installed the DirectX 9.0 c time (installation offline, by using the web update does not help) on top of the DirectX11 that comes with Windows 7, I started again two shooting games and they ran virtually perfect.

After a while, I thought I'd go to install the Feb 2010 update of DirectX to see if the games would be even better, but after the update, games work again restless. I mean, BiA is running at 6 frames per second on average, H & D2 a little better at about 12 frames per second on average.

Given that I had not many apps installed, I format the drive and did a clean install again, reinstalled both games, they ran like _, so I reinstalled the redist to 9.0 c DX, games went very well and I made the mistake of trying the latest version of DirectX again, and games ran as _. Once again! Whenever I run the update to 9.0 c, the screen with the installation just flashes and then I get a message saying that the components are already installed.

I really don't want to reinstall Windows 7 again. I tried restoring the system (before the DX installation), Windows Update, the System File Checker, I didn't even look in the 9 .0c *. CAB files, search the Windows folder for files, took possession of them, then deleted, but the update always refuse to work. I'm here to ask if the following is possible:

1 go back to the original DirectX 11, so I can install update DX 9.0 c.
2 uninstall/delete the DirectX (on the MS site, it says it is not possible and I have to use the system restore.) WOW)
3 anything else someone can suggest. Please, I beg you.

Also, I read a ton of messages on the net saying that you need not DX 9, because the DX 11 is backward compatible, so on and so of suite, so please don't need to hear all that again.

    Thank you :|

    Hello

How do you try to update directx?

This can happen due to the conlfict with display card drivers. Try to reload the display adapter drivers.

Click Start > right click on computer > Manage > Device Manager > Expand graphic card > right click on the below option > click on uninstall > now go to your card/screen of the computer manufacturer's website, download the updated drivers and install them.

Because directx is an integral part of the Windows operating system try to run the SFC scan and see if there is any file corruption.

To do this, follow these steps:

    How to run scan SFC

    1. click on the Start button

    2. on the Start Menu, click all programs followed by accessories

    3. in the menu accessories, right-click on command line option

    4. in the drop-down menu that appears, click the "Run as Administrator" option

5 If you have the enabled User Account Control (UAC) you will be asked to consent to the opening of the command line. You simply press the button continue if you are the administrator or insert password etc.

    6. in the command prompt window, type: sfc/scannow then press enter

    7. a message is displayed to indicate that "the analysis of the system will start.

    8. be patient because the analysis may take some time

    9. If all of the necessary files any replacement SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Vista DVD for this process to continue

    10. If all goes although you should, after the analysis, see the following message "Windows resource protection not found any breach of integrity.

11 after the scan finished, close the command prompt window reboot the computer and check.

  • Update of DirectX problems after Win 10 satellite L70-B-126-

    Dear colleagues!

Since the update of my Satellite L70-B-126 from 8.1 to win to win 10, I am faced with several graphical problems.

I think, I realized the real problem, which is DirectX 12. I have already installed the latest drivers, but the system thinks, that the Radeon R9 265 X is no longer usable for Dx11.1. Since Win 10 installed automatically Dx12, I don't have any idea how to fix that so far.

    Useful ideas or solutions?

    All the best!

The game is perhaps using the Intel graphics card.

    Uninstall the driver AMD.
Install the latest driver AMD leave AMD.com and configure the AMD Crimson software to use the AMD GPU for this executable game special.

  • Can I update last Directx 9.0 c?

I had problems with WoW lately, leading me to try to update all my drivers and others.  I have Directx 9 .0c since then, many moons, too long to remember exactly, but I think that it is an earlier version originally provided with my system.  My system is:
Dell Insipiron XPS (original form of the computer laptop xps)
    Pentium 4 3.4 GHz
    1 g RAM
    ATI Radeon 9800 M
    Onboard SigmaTel C-Major
Windows XP Home SP 3 Version 2002 (for some reason, system is not so old)

I tried to update Directx tonite to the version of August 2009 at the http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=04AC064B-00D1-474E-B7B1-442D8712D553&displayLang=en
After the extract to a temporary folder, I did, I ran DXSETUP.exe, the supermarket in addition to cab file and the dll 2.  I accept the argeement, he doesn't give me other options and after a few moments, tell me everything has been updated as appropriate.  But when I opened then dxdiag, it still says I have directx 9 .0c.
I did something wrong?  Was I supposed to extract the download to a part of the live repertoire? (I have not saw that it said anywhere).  I understand that my hardware is old and not be able to take advantage of the new graphical features of dx11 etc, but I at least thought that diagnostic tests and other features would be able to update past dx9.
Is the last version that this laptop will never be able to handle DirectX 9 .0c?

Unfortunately, you are correct that XP does not support Directx 10 or later.  In order to use Directx 10 or later, you need to upgrade your operating system.

  • When I try to update for DirectX 11 9 installer tells me that I'm already up to date

    Running Win 7 64 Pro

Any advice on how I can actually upgrade to DX 11? (or 10 also!)

By default, Windows 7 DirectX 11 is installed. No upgrade is necessary.

    What problem are you having?

To use the DirectX Diagnostic tool to determine the version of DirectX installed on your computer, follow these steps:

    1. Type dxdiag in the start search box
    2. Press enter
    3. On the System tab, view the version of DirectX displayed on the DirectX Version line.
  • DirectX, d3d9.ll & d3d10.dll and Windows Update does not work... (Same problem?)

I had some problems with my computer lately...

The first thing I noticed is that I failed to run games and applications and I got this weird error 'missing d3d9.dll' and something in style with... "it could be fixed if you have reinstalled the application," but it didn't and I kept getting the error, then I went to see if there was even a d3d9.dll or a d3d10.dll - but it was not...

Then. I tried to download em for the internet, but later, I noticed that they were for DirectX and therefor was not sure I had good... Then I went to update my DirectX - but failed. He says that I already had an update of DirectX version and it refused to install. I however, perhaps I could uninstall directX, but I couldn't find where and how...

Then I however, maybe it's because some weird windows update problems - so I went to check how many updates there. I check it the day prior to that, but all of a sudden there are 14 new updates that I had not installed yet (overnight 14 new updates!).

Does anyone have a solution to this? Please, I desperately need help!

    Hi exique,

    1. don't you make changes before the show?
    2. on what game and application that you get this error?

DirectX runtime for end-users (also known under the name of DirectX) is an extension for the Microsoft Windows operating system that provides a set of quick material orders, low level that they can use to improve performance for Windows games and multimedia programs. The current generation of Windows games and multimedia programs does not work properly without DirectX. So, by design, you cannot remove DirectX.

  • Do I need to install the DirectX end-user Runtime?

Today on the Microsoft.com home page, is a banner of Silverlight full-width, and a section is a link to 'Get the update of DirectX'.  By clicking on the link takes you here.

This download says download page is for Windows 7 (and practically all other OS made in the last decade)... but do I need?  I do not understand why I would install DirectX 9. something when I'm on Windows 7, which already uses a newer version of DirectX.

I'm a tech person.  I live and I dream of MSDN and TechNet, I know best practices and read the KB for fun... so if I'm confused about this, I can't imagine how to confuse any normal user is when they see a banner telling them to install DirectX 9.

  • Direct3D/DirectX issues

I have several games that I have who recognize no more ability to Direct3D to my video card.  I've updated the DirectX and video card drivers, but the problem continues to persist.

The question seems to arise with the games that were released during the time when Windows XP is the primary operating system.  I have very little problem with games released on Windows 98 or 95, or more recent games.  It seems to be limited to the games released during the life of XP.

I'm currently under Vista Home Premium on a laptop Compaq F700, and I kept on updates for DirectX and my drivers video card (a card nVidia GeForce 7000 M/Nforce 610).  No idea as to what is happening?

    Hi NeoSilverThorn,

Welcome to the Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

As you have already updated the video driver, you can check if the games are vista compatible. Link below will help you to check if the program is compatible with Windows Vista: Windows Vista Compatibility Center

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/

Run the game in compatibility mode of Windows programs in Microsoft

    i. right click on the link of the program that you want to resolve.

    II. click on properties.

III. click on the Compatibility tab.

IV. click on run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows XP

    v. under display settings, click to select the mode that you think that is necessary for the program works correctly:

    a. run in 256 colors.

    b. run in 640 X 480 screen resolution.

    c. disable visual themes.

VI. click on apply and then click OK.

    VII. double-click on the program.

    Hope this information is useful.

Let me know if it worked.

    All the best!
