Updates Windows Server 2012 faulty - stuck at 67%
For the past 3 months my server 2012 no R2 VM was the fault of updates. If this is an update to Windows Server 2012, it fails. It is not related to an update of the server 2012 specific windows, but they all fail. I can run updates updates/Silverlight IE without any problem. After that I installed them and restart it gets stuck on configures updates 67% then eventually restarts and returns and sometimes it does not many times. This is getting extremely frustrating. -Thanks for any help

Stucks update Windows Server R2 2012 after reboot to 9%
Hello
I installed windows server 2012 R2 on IIS, SQL Server, TFS and some other products from Microsoft. After finished installing, I ran the update of windows asking to restart the installation.
After restart, update continues up to 9%, then it stops forever!
I didn't start with the safe mode or last good known configuration mode!
I don't have an image restore CD for my installation.
What should I do? How can I solve the problem or cancel the installation?
Thanks for help.

Windows Server 2012 R2, R2 2008 update 12/08/2015 disabled asp classic download
I have a Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2008 R2 running native IIS.
The web server allows downloading files using just classic asp... no plug-ins or third-party add-ins.
The two servers installed updates 09/12/2012 off the capacity of the web server to download files using classic asp. The base for the download method was created by freeaspupload.net, who has since disappeared.
I rolled back these updates and downloading files works again.
I can't be the only one stuck with a legacy application that needs this feature.
Anyone?

There are approximately 247 updated to do with this Windows Server & as before in the past w / various different OS that I discovered that these must be mounted separately & batch too for these works correctly!
There must be - a kind of server 2012/r2 cumulative hotfix / service pack that will sort most of these problems of updates w / a download link for getting these!
But how & in which updates of the batch/grna they do have to do to finish correctly without these issues and so on!
example"separate updates like this should be done in separate lots and so on!

Windows Server 2012 - error 80240440 in windows update
I finished a completely new installation of Windows Server 2012 R2 on an SSD fully formatted in a new server Dell T20. Installation seems successful outside of Windows Update, the inability to run, the slightest error in the error 80240440, which seems to indicate that the remote connection has been terminated. I checked that other PC (Windows 8) can successfully run Windows Update, it seems that the problem is limited to this Server 2012 machine. Anyone can suggest a solution or approach I want to install other software, until the installation works properly.

How to update the model of RDS for Windows Server 2012 collection?
Hi team,
I want to know how to update the collection of RDS model (model master sysprep) which is used to create the collection?
I tried the below way but did not get the update of the collection of virtual machines.
-Start the image of mater of sysprep
-install the required components
-resysprep the image and stop it
-East went to the RDS Collection and added new virtual machines in collection (removed the old his)
Once created, I opened a session in the machines, but I don't see the updates (I installed some software in the sysprep image however and no is not there in the virtual machines in the pool)
Can someone let me know if I need to create a whole collection again or the way I do it is a proper way? If it's a good way what could be the reason why I get the new installed software model sysprep image in virtual machines created in the pool, based on the model?
How do we actually updated for security and other regular patches updated in virtual machines? In my view, we use the same approach?
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Kind regards

Windows Server 2012 stuck at startup when running on top of KVM with active regrouping of CPU
Hi all
We observe an interesting problem when running Windows Server 2012 on top of KVM to multiple processors.
When the collection of the CPU is disabled, Windows starts and works very well.
When the grouping of CPU is activated by:
bcdedit /groupaware on
bcdedit /groupsize 2Windows hangs at startup while displaying a black screen with logo and won round progress indicator.
We have produced the crash dump by injection of interruption NMI via QEMU/KVM debugging facilities, the look of stacks of appeal as follows:

Hello
I have a domain controller Windows Server 2012 which fails to configure updates. Each reboot it will say its configuration is updated, then in case of failure and Reverie. I can't find out what it is.
I checked WindowsUpdate.log the only mistake I see there:

Historical update check indicates a recent update that does not KB2770816:

I tried to launch the Windows update troubleshooting tool, that said he fixed a point, but after a reboot, I get always this error and now a new, every 20 seconds, I if I get this annoying modal popup saying that windows cannot check the updates even if it seems it can:

Installation of WebLogic Server 10.3.6.
Patch WebLogic Server with Patch 16844206 .
Perform a software installation of OBIEE 11.1.1.9.0.
Configure OBIEE
Following the same thing we did it-
(a) installed weblogic 10.3.6
(b) Dowbloaded the patch and ran GUI and command line.
1. When was held from the GUI
Downloaded Patch_16844206. copied the content of this file zip, except the file Readme in your cache directory SmartUpdate (MW_HOME/utils/bsu/default cache_dir). Ran the bsu.cmd file located in the folder WM_HOME/Middleware/utils/bsu to open the Smart Update utility Oracle - and then 'downloaded Patches' table ffound Patch Id SRSV Bug 16844206 and then clicked on apply.
However after doing a "running Validation" popup appears and he is blocked for 90 minutes at this same position. (see screenshot)
2. When ran from command line-
D:\app\Oracle\Middleware\utils\bsu > bsu.cmd-prod_dir=D:\app\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3-patch_download_dir = D:\app\Oracle\Middleware\utils\bsu\cache_dir-statut = downloaded - discovers - verbose
Exception in thread "Main Thread" means
D:\app\Oracle\Middleware\utils\bsu > bsu.cmd-prod_dir=D:\app\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3 - patchlist = 23698-verbose - install
Exception in thread "Main Thread" means
Any solution?
Thank you very much
Benoit
Hi all
According to Oracle advises has resolved it as follows.
It is a failure with OutOfMemory. Increase the memory allocated for the process of the bsu. Change the following line in bsu.cmd
MEM_ARGS =-Xms256m-Xmx512m set
TO
Set MEM_ARGS =-Xms1024m-Xmx1024m
Basically, you will need to open bsu.cmd in Notepad, and then change the setting above. And then again run. And it will work.
Thank you very much

Supported Windows Server 2012 r2-dual monitor
Hi all
I'm trying to become more proficient with Windows Server OS. I installed Windows Server 2012 r2 on an older laptop (HP ProBook 6565-b) of the mine because the base OS (not remote communication in). I'm wanting to add a second monitor to this machine, for either extending display, or simply duplicate, if I close the lid-if I can use my screen a lot nicer, bigger than what is connected to the laptop.
I read through all the posts on double monitor support for Windows server, but have had no luck so far with suggestions that I have ad (updated & reinstall the drivers, etc..). I also had a cheap USB to VGA external video card (Startech.com) I tried to use... no luck. Before I installed Windows Server 2012, I got this working environment in Windows 7 and 10 on this laptop, so I think the graphics card is supported? I wonder if this is even possible or if I'm wasting my time?
Any idea on how I can make this work would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Windows server 2012 default behavior services
Hi all
I recently installed Windows server 2012 R2 on my PC and found that the Windows update service "wuauserv" starts and stops automatically after a certain time. I think the same happens for Windows 8 and 10 more. The startup type indicates that automatic (early release). Through various articles and forums, I realized that this is the default behavior, introduced in Windows where inactive services will stop automatically and works only when triggered by certain policies.
I want to change this default behavior and want Windows update services to be able to run always. Could you please tell how to make these changes.
Kind regards
ADI
