  I got a cisco WLC 2504 with the version of the OS - 7.0.112.56. When I tried to upgrade to the new operating system, it gives below error.

  It could be a bug.  This is a special version of technology.

  Try to upgrade to, say, 7.0.252.0 and see if it works.  If so, then go directly to 8.3.X.

• GUI display in 2504 WLC on 8.3.102.0 problems and communication issues

  I had to take two of my WLC 2504 version 8.3.102.0 code to support the APs news with domain B. The WLC came with 7.6 which is postponed, so I tried both versions of ED last 8.2 and 8.3, but then the GUI is almost unusable. I can only reliable get in on the CLI but users at this location use the graphical interface of surveillance. Are there changes in the settings of browser required for the GUI work reliably?

  It's a problem with only a few of our controllers running 8.0 or 8.2. In general, I use Firefox like Chrome has this issue with me. IE and Edge seems to works fine too, but prefer Firefox. Any code your race to be honest. We always can understand this except to refresh the browser.  I run 8.3 at home and I have not touched any GUI question still.

  We 6.0.132 (lastest) WCS and our controllers are on 4.2.130, we now to upgrade to deal with sometimes, but don't want to capwap yet.

  What code of the controller, you're on? 1200 is not supported after 7.0 code...

  Older aps, the year 1200 did not come with microphones. An SSC is created, you are sure that the SSC is enabled in the wlc and you have the SSC on the controller?

  We are going to upgrade a WLC: AIR-CT2504-15-K9 for free: 8.0.120

  This is a new installation and we will install 15 TOUR of this model: AIR-CAP2702E-A-K9.

  We went through the compatibility matrix and release WLC 8.0.120 correspond to LAP: 15.3 (3) JA4.

  Check out this link. As long as you have software version 8.0.x 2504 version you can use 1131 AP with it. Nothing beyond software fate is more a series of support 1131.

• Limitation of SSID WLC 2504 Hall admin

  I want to start using admin Hall on 2504 WLC for guest WLAN SSID. I connected the loby of RADIUS administrator accounts and I am able to connect. But even I use local account or account of RADIUS, I can't select which WIFI SSID I want limit for new users of comments.

  So what I'm missing? I see only "all WLAN", but I want to have just "guest_wifi" ssid. The reason is to limit admin lobby by selecting 'all wlan.

  Recently, we have a consultant to come in and upgrade our 5508 WLC to new version 8.0.133.0.

  ALL good until recently, we need to check where an AP connected to that through goto COP under the monitor and the field is empty.

  is there a setting somewhere we can turn on? and how back us the COP? as this is a good feature to see where APs connect to

• Dynamic management of the mobile AP management interface to another dynamic interface (WLC 2504)

  Situation/configuration is the following:

  -2504 WLC (8.1.131) with a total of 22 AP is connected.

  -Several WLAN active each with its own interface (dynamic)

  -L' (static) management interface is the option "Activate the dynamic management of AP" enabled.

  -The four physical interfaces of the WLC remain TROLLING configured.

  What is the problem:

  In the current configuration, the management interface is in the same vlan as the AP we now want to move the management interface to a different VLAN, but keep the AP in the vlan current. The idea is to move the management interface to its new vlan and disable "enable dynamic management of AP". Then, create a new interface (dynamic) in the same vlan as of AP and select 'turn on the dynamic management of AP' on this interface. Configure it as it is no problem but is does not work. The AP will record is no longer with the WLC.

  Is there something I may be missing why this does not work?

  Yes, that's the gist of it.

  I recommend always making a capture packets if only just for educational purposes and to see how this works in action. I found it interesting when I did in the lab here.

• Cisco WLC 2504

  I couldn't go to the graphical interface of 2504 WLC. I updated 192.168.99.24, defined DHCP 192.168.99.25 address IP of MGT. I put my interface on PC port to 192.168.99.26. Then I put my URL to 192.168.99.24 and I still couldn't to GUI. I plugged my Ethernet cable to port 2 on the controller.

  What port you defined as the mgmt port? Mgmt port you should be a different subnet, then your data traffic.

  Yes, until 7.3 code only 50 APs are supported. 75 aPs are supported with 7.4 code.

• WISN upgrade to 6.0.188

  I will move my WISMs to 6.0.188 from the GUI. In the installation notes it say to close the port-channel controller.

  When I do so I can't get controllers to start the download. If I download the new IOS will be the controller

  restart automatically? If if do not know how it would happen. You stop the port channel after the start to recharge?

  What you need to do is to move out of one of the WLC access point and then move this WLC to 6.0.188.  Then move the access point

  Return to WLC to ensure that everything works.  then all that you move the ap for the upgrade

  WLC and upgrade your other WLC on the WISN.  You need to restart the WLC after the upgrade, however.

• Adding a secondary WLC with different software version

  And it s necessary in both controllers have the same version of software images (boot primary and secondary boot)?

  It is necessary to have the same version of code... because if ap moves one wlc to another, they will have to be upgraded and or downgrade, which can take 5 minutes or more.  This will affect your end users.  The WLC should also be the same model... well its recommended.  But if your current wlc does support the latest code, then your new wlc will have to be downgraded.
