Upgrade memory 667 Mhz for Satellite U300

Hello

I have a new Satellite u300-11v and I was hoping to upgrade the memory standard modules of current 2 x 1 GB 2 x 2 GB ddr800 for a max speed of memory. However, after looking at intels site for specifications of the chipset for my machine (its got an intel mobile GM965 chipset) it seems that it will only support up to 667 mhz RAM modules.

Reading a little further, I think that if I have a memory at 667 mhz bus it can only be reached through the module 1 x 2 GB at 667 mhz. Currently I put 2 x 2 GB 667 modules in the machine, the default memory bus at 533 mhz.
I watched chipset specs of your laptop (945GM) while I was on the site intels and your in the same boat as me.

Heres so the dilemma: you have just 1 x 2 GB 667 MHz memory to get this speed little extra memory or go for 2 x 2 GB to the slowest to 533 mhz to accommodate all these massive windows page file.

For me, have family Vista premium running on a machine that can bring together only a bus 533 mhz memory with 4 GB of ram is not acceptable while I will now go back to XP pro which is not so heavy on resources.

Did you really notice the difference between the memory 533 MHz bus and memory 667 MHz modules?

Of course, there is a small difference in performance, but you will never get a performance gain by using the modules of 667 MHz instead of 553 Mhz modules.

For more of your laptop just use compatible and recommended memory module. For your laptop model, you must use:
    -1 GB-DDR2-667-PA3512U-1M1G
    -2 GB-DDR2-667-PA3513U-1M2G
Put this number in Google and search for stores where you can order.

    Hello

I have the computer even if you remember. It seems to be a problem for me but as far as I know is P100-106 memory at 533 MHz, although it supports 667 too. I think you should contact the service.

  • Is - 2 GB module or a work of memory PC2-5300 / 667 mhz for Latitude D610?

Shows spec Dell Latitude D610 will have 1 GB of memory by Bank, total, up to 2 GB and also uses memory PC2-4200 / 533 mhz.

What I was wondering if this can be exceeded and D610 would always be OK:

    • If the memory stick 2 GB would work by Bank, up to 4GB total, assuming that the use of memory PC2-4200.
    • Or, if memory PC2-5300 / 667 mhz would work, assuming that using memory of 1 GB.

I have above that the technical running in my office and usually faster memory memory can be used, just that it runs at a slower speed.

Has anyone put in memory in D610 which is faster or more dense than does the spec? Believe it or not, part of the problem is that modern memory is denser and faster, and it is cheaper just get a faster or more dense memory.

  • Upgrade memory 4 GB on Satellite A200-23W

    Hello
I asked Toshiba service here in Greece upgrade memory than my A200 23W and they buy a 2 GB memory module (I noticed that there was no need for 2 because there was that one module in this topic but anyway...).

I did and installed the new memory, but since than, in the information system, I can only see this:

Name of the Microsoft® Windows Vista Home Premium operating system

    2.01 GB available physical memory
    6.19 GB total virtual memory
    5.12 GB available virtual memory
    Page file space 3.29 GB

So my question is WHY AVAILABLE PHYSICAL MEMORY IS STILL 2.01 GB? When I installed 4 GB and the system can see that only in theory.

There is nothing wrong with your system. As you have already posted, windows displays your total amount of 4 GB of physical memory and the total physical memory to 3 GB.
The part with the available memory is a thing of windows and displays how much memory is left for other programs, because windows needs some of them your own sound.

So, if you want to use all of your 4 GB you will need to use a 64 bit version of Vista, because 32-bit versions are limited to a maximum size of 3, 29GB as already indicated your page file space.

Hope this cleared some things now.

  • Equium A110-233 does support memory 667 mhz or 533 mhz?

    Hello

I have a satellite A110-233 with a processor Intel Core solo processor. Sound of the Intel 945 GM Express chipset. Now, I have looked everywhere and just cannot know for sure if my computer supports at 667 mhz. I know that it supports 533 mhz...

I'm after a new ram install and want to take advantage of the higher speed if he is cabable.
Also, anyone know where I can get cheap ram? Pref kington etc.?

    Thank you!

    Hello

I m not 100% sure, but it seems that the laptop supports a FSB of 533.
So I advise to use the 533 Mhz memory modules.

As far as I know Toshiba recommends the use of these modules:
    DDR2 400/533 256 MB (PA3389U - 1 M 25)
    512 MB DDR2-400/533 (PA3412U - 1 M 51)
    1 GB OF DDR2 400/533 (PA3411U-1M1G)

It seems that the modules are designed by Kingston. Usually Kingston modules are very effective in high-performance, but there is a little more expensive than the modules without name.
In any case, I would always buy a module high performance, because the quality is much better

  • Where to find bars of memory 2 GB for Satellite Pro A100

According to the Toshiba site, the A100 has 2 memory slots for up to 2 GB per slot, but I can only find 1 GB max cards. Anyone know where I can find 2 GB cards?

With the card, you mean the memory modules?

You Satellite Pro A100 must be a unit of PSAACE-xxxx series because AFAIK other A100 Pro supports only 2 GB of memory.

In any case, someone posted a useful link to the site to upgrade memory. I found this:
    http://www.orcalogic.co.UK/ASP/ProdType.asp?ProdType=26257&ft=m&St=3

I chose the ProA100-828 because I put t know what exactly your unit.
However, there is a 2 GB module shown.

By the way: 200 pin DDR2-533 SODIMM modules are compatible!

  • Need help for upgrade of selecting RAM for Satellite P200D-106

Hello everyone im happy old owner of 2 hour nine Toshiba Satellite P200D 106 with the configuration put fallow:

    Mobile AMD Turion 64 X 2
    Processor model: TL-52
    FSB (MHz): 800
    RAM: 512 + 512 MB Type: DDR2 at 667 MHz

Now since I have vista on it I want to upgade 2 GB or 1 GB Ram is too little and I need recommendation on what type or Ram would be compatible with this config

I daissa a lot have to choose between set-aside:

    A - DATA 1 GB DDR2, 667 MHz PC5300 SODIMM
Kingston ValueRAM 1 GB PC5300 SODIMM
    Kingston 1 GB SODIMM DDR2-533 ValueRam PC4300 CL4 SODIMM
Geil SODIMM 1 GB DDR2, 667 MHz, retail

One of them is completely compatible with this laptop and don't give me any problems I mention that the RAM came with the laptop will be taken

PS: Also another question im thinking also buy a Toshiba back pack for my laptop to know that a PX1309E-1NCA

Does anyone have any ideas if this laptop 17 fit in this backpack without being scratched?
I mention this im intending to put the power in the front pocket.

Thanks in advance for your help.
    Happy new year!!!

I recommend get you the 2 GB RAM module with the PA3513U part number. Use this module with 512 MB, you already have and with 2.5 GB laptop should work very well.
Kingston modules are very good and it's really high-quality product. If you can't find compatible on Kingston page you can order. But as I've written before of maybe you should buy 2 GB and have better performance.

Compare prices and do what you have to buy the decision.

What about bag backpack? Check the specs and if it is designed for 17 laptops you can buy it. Sorry, but for me this issue is enough... excessive. :)

  • Where can I get a minPCI card for Satellite U300-13U Bluetooth?

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite U300-13U which when I bought it I thought a bluetooth but it doesn't...

There is a mini PCI express slot I can see next to the WiFi card, but I can't find anywhere that sells a mini PCIe card bluetooth, can anyone recommend one or a Duel WiFi / Bluetooth.

I use a bluetooth USB dongle but want it built in.

    Thank you!
    Graeme

I guess that your laptop has the part PSU30E-xxxxx number. All models with PSU31E-xxxx have BT on board. All these books have BT label on the lower side with part number for the BT module. Maybe someone can give you this number.

To be honest, you must be sure if BT update is possible or not. I imagine that you will not be able to be upgraded. If possible, contact the service provider allowed in your country and ask if anything like that is possible. They must know this.

    Hello

Generally, tools and Utilities CD should be delivered with your laptop.
On this CD you will find all the required drivers for Windows XP. You can use the same drivers WinXP Pro.
If you install the drivers if you do it in the right order.
Installing the chipset utility is very important. This must be done first.
In addition, you must pilot your controller CardBus PCMCIA cardbus.
    Check it out.

I have all the drivers and I searched and google all the internet network.

    Hello

As far as I know your U300-h-13 belongs to the series of PSU30E.

After the visit of _Toshiba pilot European page_ I found * ALL * necessary Toshiba drivers for Windows XP and Vista 32 bit.

So I wonder why you use the drivers designed for an A200?  :|

Anyway, as I said above, the necessary drivers are available and you can download.

  • The upgrade memory and HDD on Satellite Pro A300-1EA

So, I'm new to this forum so first of all Hello to all!

I plan to buy the Satellite Pro A300 1EA and I came to the conclusion that I need to buy more memory that the thing has already installed (2 048 MB).
I tried to search for information through Kingston and OCZ, but have not found something solid on what memory modules are supported by the A300-1EA.

The A300-1EA uses DDR2 800 Mhz type of memory (max 8192MB) instead of just dealing with one module 2084 installed, I had intended to get two of them.

What I have to buy two identical modules, or can I increase memory by simply adding a module to match installed?
So if anyone has an idea where I could find on the modules of memory supported, that would be swell! :)

The other thing is quite the same, but only with hard disks. I found many potential readers than fullfill my needs for a faster drive (upgrade of 5400 RPM / min-> 7200 RPM), but I don't know which ones work with this laptop.

After all, I'm in the impression that laptops are not so easy on these pieces as desktop computers.

    Thanks in advance!

Satellite Pro A300-1EA belongs to the series of PSAG9E, and it seems that it was fitted on the Chipset Mobile Intel GM45 Express.
As far as I know, that you can improve this laptop 4 GB RAM max so I wonder which tells you something about 8 GB support.
You can upgrade the memory to 4 GB, and you can use the 200-PIN SODIMM 800 MHz modules.

But to be honest I don t understand why you want to upgrade if the 32-bit Windows operating system will see only 3.2 GB due to the limitation of the 32-bit operating system.

    With regard to the drive HARD;
You need a HARD drive 2.5 SATA.

  • NB550D-10U - upgrading memory 1333 MHz? C-60 processor

I recently bought the NB550D-10U model that has the processor AMD C-60 inside. I read most of the messages on this forum about memory upgrades and they suggest all requiring RAM DDR3 1066 MHz (PC3-8500).

I guess it is for models with a C-50 processor that I open my netbook and it came installed with 1 GB Samsung DDR3 1333 MHz (PC3-10600) 204pin (part No.: M471B2873FHS-CH9).

So, I guess I could buy a 4 GB of DDR3 1333 MHz Ram that should work in this version of the netbook. Of course, I will modernize windows for hosting get fully use the 4 GB of ram.

Has anyone got this version of the laptop and upgraded? Or can confirm that it is the 1333 MHz memory for and * NOT * 1066 MHz as most of the other posts on the forum.

    Thank you

Theoretically, you can use two types of modules: 1066 Mhz and 1333 Mhz

    1 GB DDR3-1066 PA3675U-1M1G
    2 GB OF DDR3-1066 PA3676U-1M2G
    2 GB DDR3 - 1333 PA3918U-1M2G

But the laptop does support max 2 GB RAM

  • Re: Which module of memory is good for Satellite P30 145

    Hello.
I need a little help to decide which module of memory I need to upgrade my P30-145. IV ' e two seen on the Toshiba web site which I think I can use. We're the PA3313U - 2M1G PC2700 DDR SODIMM (333 MHz) and I saw this one mentioned and recommended elsewhere on this forum. The other is PA3411S - 2M1G PC2 - 4300 DDR2 (533 MHz)
The processor is an Intel Pentium 4 with a clock speed of 3.2 GHz and a 533 MHz front side bus speed.
    Anyboy can advise

    Thank you

    Hello

    for your CPU, you need the PA3313U - 2M1G PC2700 DDR SODIMM (333 MHz) since the PA3411S - 2M1G PC2 - 4300 DDR2 (533 MHz) is not compatible for your machine.

PA3411S-2M1G PC2-4300 DDR2 (533 MHz) is for newer machines with Core2Duo and the more recent Pentium M, but not for the Pentium 4.

If you buy some RAM just ensure that you purchase RAM DDR1 PC3200 or PC2700. That's all.
