  You can upgrade to 8.1 windows, don't worry too much about secure boot, it's just a Windows 8.1 security feature and it will not harm your pc.

According to the Oracle upgrade guide for release 12, we will need to use Microsoft Visual C++ 8.0 (aka Visual C++ 2005) and MKS Toolkit 9.2.

On the node of W2003, should we install the C++ 8.0 and MKS Toolkit 9.2 first and then apply the 12.0.5 quick install? Or should remove us older versions first (C++ 6.0) and MKS Toolkit 8.0?   Quick installation requires as a pre - req, so you should have those installed before your installation.

  I don't think you need your older plants because they no longer serve. You can delete them.

  So, I bought some RAM Corsair (2 x 8 GB) to install in my MacBook Pro for mid-2012. It has been well over a month now and I get freezes and flaws that were not there when the Apple RAM stock has already been installed. My question is... are it freezes and the seeds one result of the brand of RAM I have installed (Corsair) or the fact that I am superior to the amount of 8 GB of RAM recommended for this laptop of Apple to the particular address?

  As you can see here, your MBP can, indeed, support for 16 GB of RAM. However, DIMMs must meet Apple specifications which are often much more demanding that really meant DIMMS for PC can meet. One of the advantages of buying from OWC (in the link) is that they provide 100% support so their products need to be designed with the Mac in mind. If you have no problem with DIMM Apple, but you do with Corsair DIMMS, I would say getting them replaced or, better yet, to get a refund.

  Yes, you can use an optical drive bay adapter to fit a second hard drive. You see this as purely for storage because: 1. not bootable. and 2. turns at SATA I have 150 Mbps speed only. Still fast enough to playback video, but much slower than SATA-III 600 Mbps.

  The best way to transfer settings is with Windows Easy Transfer. Make the 'old computer' Easy compressed Transfer of the old installation file, save on an external and then use the "new computer" transfer tool on the new configuration. Adjustment of the installation of the new on the SSD using the same Userid as the original installation made work better. It will transfer more stuff as Favorites, recorded the wireless identification information and other things which otherwise is very much work to reproduce. • Upgrade to vSphere 4 x to question 5.5

  I'm currently under vSphere 4 x and was running my vCentre on a box of Windows 7 Pro, since we only have one on a VMs dozzen.

  Everything worked and works fine but I have now to be upgraded since my contract allowed me to upgrade to version x 5 before it expires.

  So I downloaded all the relevant downloads on the download site and saw that it was a server available vCentre device so I downloaded that too and installed in accordance with the documentation.

  If at this point, I have a Windows workstation separate with the new vmware vSphere client installed and the device server vCentre freshly installed and active.

  My pre-existing vSphere 4 x systems are still ongoing so I'm not sure on the next steps.

  When I opened the new customer vSphere5.5 and connect the new server to vCentre vSphere5.5 I can start from scratch to create the data center, and then add the hosts but that I will meet a roadblock that I don't know what to do.

  Since I already use a 4 x vCentre server, when I try to add the host to the new server vCentre he tells me that the host (if I do) will be disconnected from the old server vCentre so I don't know if I should do it or not. If

  

  If someone could advise me whether if I go ahead and this or not because I'm a little afraid to go forward without knowing what would happen.

  The tool you need is called the Dell Server Update Utility (SUU), is run from the operating system and updates the entire server. You can find the download here.

  Now on a side note, we do not support or even really recommend using imaging between 2 servers. This is due to the fact that when wearing on the new MAC Imaging server and system of the original system state data transfer on. This can cause instability of the system, this is why it is not recommended.

  Thank you both for your quick responses.  I had planned to mark the two responses as 'proper', but the system would only allow answer me - of course.

  When I went to the guest summary and click VM\Change Version, I found myself with a "Clone of Windows Vista 32".  The previous title was simply 'Windows Vista 32.'  Maybe I should change the title to read what had been seized?  Now I seem to have two titles.  In addition, when asked "choose the virtual machine hardware compatibiity (you want to convert to)", Workstation 6.5 is grayed out and I had to select Workstation 6.  On the View\Summary page, it now said Clone of Windows Vista 32. Version: the machine virtual workstation 6.0.  However, if I go to Help\About, it shows the version 6.5.2 build-156735.

  I'm confused!

  I am running a 32-bit environment. As a novice at the installation of VMS, it took me some time to configure the client correctly to allow printers and shared files, access to the Internet, etc.

  VM Workstation 6.5.2 contains adjustments for Vista (among others), and I bought the software to upgrade. When I started the upgrade, an information window appears indicating that Setup has detected an earlier version of the workstation, and he wanted my permission to remove it before continuing. Knowing the hassle that I lived to implement the comments with version 6.5.1 system my first reaction was: ' I have to go through this all-new? Or, the installation simply replaces the VM Workstation software, but it will leave intact my commenting system and all the software and settings that I configured for this system?

  Admittedly, this isn't a very professional application for this purpose, but I would prefer not to duplicate the installation hassle I went through before. If my guest system will remain as it is, so I see no reason to not upgrade. (The cynic in me said: 'if it is not "broken...) ") Is there something else I need to be aware of the upgrade?

  your thoughts here are correct.  The upgrade of your comments, just upgrade does not affect the software host VMware Workstation.

  I am the Mountain Lion to all my "non-critical work, but I am still under the last Snow Leopard on my main desktop computer, running CS6 Design & Web Premium. I avoided the switch primarily because of the automatic backup feature that Apple placed in ML. I have not found a satisfactory answer anywhere on the web to this fundamental question... is auto-save a problem, like Apple, implements with CS6 and work on images?

  In particular: 1. I regularly work on very large files, 4 GB + size, and I don't wan't the peformance hits associated with constant economy, 2. I make changes to the images, numbers, cropping, color correction, etc., so that I can prove to jpg for clients or myself. More images 'intermediate' and not planned to be saved. I don't want to downsample an image, flatten it in order to create a jpg for evidence and have it replaced the original image in layers, the high resolution by mistake. This happens with photoshop or Adobe don't avoid the auto-save that Apple uses?

  I have all the latest gadgets to iOS and it becomes heavy enough to manage multiple sets of iCloud info, etc without being on ML. I want to make the transition, but at the cost of loss of work, etc. Anyone with experience on ML & CS6 can give me any input on the matter? And this also applies to all other Adobe applications in CS6? I'm constantly doing minor changes and the changes that I usually have "undo" of and want not saved.

  Auto save (information retrieval) save a temporary file that will only be useful if you have an accident.  It does not record in your file.
