upgraded to iPhone 7 + restore question

just got my iPhone from 7 + and due to backup my iPhone to my computer 6.

After restoring my iPhone 7 everything looks good, but he wants to download all the apps via wifi.

my computer not backup applications too?

is it better to just redownload all apps?

Thank you

Only if you have downloaded all your apps using iTunes on your computer. If this isn't the case, then you need to re - download via iTunes. Download purchased apps again is free. Download after purchase and that last download buy from the App Store, the iBookstore and iTunes Store.

  • iPhone update program Question

I have read and reread the statement from Apple about its upgrade policy, but I have a few questions for clarification.

    (1) Let's say I buy an iPhone 7 on the upgrade plan.  Whenever I've upgraded to iPhone 8, would that cancel my contract for iPhone 7?  The way he puts it in the explanation seems that you pay only $36,58 per month (128 GB model) for 12 months, for a total of $438,96 in the year and then terminate this contract to adopt a new for iPhone 8.  Is this correct?  This would technically less expensive than payment of time a $749.00 for the same model.

    (2) after you upgrade, you must return the first phone?  Or do you want to keep both?  (Would you be able to sell the first phone to get a deal even better?)

    (3) if I just understand, this upgrade program applies only with the iPhone 7 and 7 more, correct?  Even if you can buy an iPhone 6s on a monthly payment plan, you would be not eligible thereafter to update?

    Thank you very much.

    (1) you must have the iPhone for 12 months-value payments or at least 6 months of ownership before you can trade it. If you trade from 6 to 11 months, you will pay the difference to the total payments for 12 months (if you're in 6 months, then would you still 6 months-value of payments).

When you trade your current iPhone, she essentially finished that payment of 1 process/loan with citizen Bank and creates a new one for your new iPhone.

The total cost is the iPhone and AppleCare + divided by 24 months with 0 of interest, so it is the same as for iPhone and AppleCare +. No gain in price, no additional cost.

    (2) Yes, you trade the original iPhone. The only situation where you can keep it if you paid 24 months of payments. Then the iPhone is for you.

    (3) Yes, it applies only to the latest models of iPhone.

Since upgrading my iPhone 5s IOS 9.3.5 yesterday, I see more the camera of the iPhone as a device in Windows.  Therefore, with this update of IOS, I do find a direct way to upload my pictures on my PC.  Is there a way to download my photos on my PC without having to download them to iCloud?  My PC is Windows 7 Pro (64 bit).

What I've always done, is to download my photos directly on my PC by using the option to remove the iPhone with the download.  I really want to continue to do so!

    Thank you!

  • Infinite loop - Restrictions PIN forgotten, can't stop to find my iPhone for restoration

I have an iPhone 6 for my children. I forgot the PIN code for restrictions affecting. When you make selections for the restrictions, I put it that nobody could change anything without my PIN entry for restrictions. So, it would mean that 'Find my iPhone' cannot be disabled without knowledge of the PIN for restrictions.

The easy solution is to restore the phone. However, in order to restore the phone, I received instruction to turn off "find my iPhone". So, I'm stuck in an infinite loop. I've seen several recovery programs, but some lead to links that were not there, others have asked me to pay for the program, and others seemed questionable.

Any suggestions would be welcome. Thank you.

You have to force into recovery mode to restore.

  • Why do I get a message to upgrade my iphone to 9.2.1 when it should be 9.2.1

I just got a dialog box that suggests that I have upgraded to IOS 9.2.1. The problem is that the version of IOS in my iPhone is already to 9.2.1. What is going on?

Apple released a second 9.2.1 iOS which contained a repair to the question of error 53. They did not change the name of iOS, but the build number. It is available only when the device is connected to iTunes and computer. Go ahead and update.

  • 2000-2b09WM HP: 10 Windows upgrade/Windows 8 recovery partition questions

I tried the upgrade of Windows 10 twice with this laptop.

    1st attempt:

He tried to upload D:Recovery partition, failed upgrade, fortunately I did a restore of Windows 8 USB, including the entire recovery drive, until I ran the upgrade, after several steps and issues, I restored to 8.

    2nd attempt:

Again, he tried to download and install in the D: partition and failed, second recovery has been a bit more difficult than the first.

My question is, deleting the recovery partition completely before running the upgrade would solve this and if so, would the recovery Windows 8 USB still suffice to recover in case of failure even after the recovery partition by removing completely?

If the update is successful, I would be able to do a restore of Windows 10 USB then recreate a recovery partition, and then transfer the USB recovery to that partition?

I am doing this for someone else who is not technically competent, if it was me I would do this differently (that's if I would never actually own this little thing).

My goal here is to get upgrades, then do as close to 100% some I can that they can not only recover but they don't have to worry about keeping track of a recovery DVD or USB media if all else fails and can recover everything keeping the valid product key without them ever having to buy , find, use or type a product key.

I delete the recovery partition and try the upgrade. On the issue of work after the removal of the partition which may depend on what type of USB recovery that you created. There's no Windows 8 version - which I've never used and do not know if it works without the partition. There are > HP recovery media- who works with / with out even on a new hard drive and the partition.

Windows 10 also has an option to create a recovery usb disk but I don't think that it will transfer to a recovery partition - at least not a bootable. Windows 10 has the ability to reset this PC that uses files stored on the hard drive.

You must also consider if the hard drive has failed it would take the recovery/reset partition with it until you have an installer of stand-alone-usb or dvd is always a good choice to install on a replacement hard drive.

Of course, many use use imagery to take a complete snapshot of the Windows installation to easily restore either original or new hard drive. The imagery is also covered by the link above.

  • Restore questions - anyone else?

My husband and I arrived at the moment where an upgrade was due. Before picking up our new phones, I backed up my 5s using iTunes with no error and my husband saved her by using the LG software he had.

Once at home, my husband used the LG software to restore its apps, etc... It was spotless and there was operational in 30 minutes. It's the end of his story. It just worked. My story, however, not so much...

When I tried to restore my settings with iTunes, I got a half a dozen in the drop-down list of choices with the same name. There is no way to differentiate between them. We'll call this 'Apple fail #1 user experience '. Frustrated, I started working down the list of names to meet failures at every turn. I was able to locate the backup folder on my hard drive from the backup I made before my new phone, but there was no way to tell iTunes to use this folder (Apple fail #2 user experience). Finally, I arrived at what seems to be the entry related to the root of the correct backup folder, and tried to restore from there. After working for a while, iTunes doesn't have the process with "an error has occurred." What a mistake? Who knows. He did not. Error number? Nope. More information in the windows event log? No (Apple fail #3 user experience). You can also call this last part 'explosive software implementation' because if you can't bother to help the user solve their problem during an operation of such criticism, you have really no writing or software distribution company.

Ok. Now, it appeared likely that my data was missing and I have to rebuild all of my apps, settings, etc... from scratch--by hand and it was entirely the fault of Apple. It's when I've reached the threshold of "25% of what I will switch to android next time." Then, noticing that there was a "restoration of the cloud" option and in a last effort to not have to rebuild all my content from gap, I chose it. It seemed to start and don't give me any errors, so I went about my business, while it worked. Enough of my apps were restored pretty quickly that I thought that the race was over and that this last line of defence had saved me, so I've calmed down and left the process to lament how the iPhone and iTunes experience has become in recent years.

I live in the country and we have internet WiMax which is not so fast, is quite expensive, and has a 150 GB of data monthly ceiling before begin to charges by Go. Since I was moving a 32 GB is not entirely full-5s, I thought I'd be fine while restoring iCloud continued. Yet once... not so much. Over the next week, my family has noticed that the internet has been slower than normal but don't think it correlates with my phone. It wasn't until we got the opinion of our ISP we had managed to hit our cap of monthly data TOGETHER in a single week my husband started scouring the network for the offending device. PSI has provided a chart dated usage and - surprise - the valves open when the iPhone came home and was essentially at full speed all the time.

Somehow, the iPhone--in its attempt to restore far less than 32 GB of data had managed to consume 150 GB of traffic. Happening all right beyond the 'Apple fail #4 user experience' only in order to "Apple apparently doesn't care any more." Thanks to this complete omission from Apple and only Apple - my internet Bill was higher that it should have been $ 45.

But, it's ok. Live and learn. Everyone knows this kind of failure on many levels?

Nope. Whenever I have restore from an iCloud upward, I do do so via a WiFi connection because the data rates and all that jazz.

Sounds typical honestly, but then again I just run with most of the problems because I never assume that nothing is perfect or will work as expected 100% of the time. It's just technology for the yah!  But it's also my personal point of view.

Sorry to hear about the hiccups, but at least you never know to restore from a backup of iCloud at home again. (Also to * with data-caps, they ruin any good on the internet.)

  • I upgraded my iPhone iOS 9 and now it does not connect with iTunes

I have a 4 s now with iOS 9. (I now use strictly just for music)

My version of iTunes is 11.4 and my Macbook OS X 10.6.8

It is an old computer and is not compatible with the newer OS X are available.

My iTunes suggested that updating my iphone to ios 9 so I was for it, but now I just get the message

"The iPhone is useless because it requires a newer version of iTunes. Go to www.itunes.com to download the latest version of iTunes. "

So I go to the site and I can't download the latest version of iTunes because it is not compatible with the OS X version I have (and am stuck with)

My real question I guess is how Devil can I just the older ios back on my phone?

I tried to restore etc and no luck. Any help is appreciated because I suck.

You're out of luck.  For use with iOS iTunes 9, you need at least OS X 10.8.5.

You can't get an older version of the iOS either.  If you must live without using iTunes with your iPhone, or get a newer computer.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones upgraded OS, now to restore...?

Hi all, I'm new here. I hope that I don't ask something already discussed in a previous post, forgive me if I do.

I used this thread to review the upgrade, and I really want to thank tanzim for any assistance on this thread.

I want to know is now, with the news that I supported up to... will restore this wipe the upgraded applications? You do not know if I am making sense on this point, once again, please excuse me if I don't.

When you apply the backup, it must bring everything you have saved. I don't know what your question. The upgrade of the BONE removed your old applications.
