• Removing VCS of TMS and TMSPE migration problem

  We prepare to start using TMSPE, however it must first disable replication on all VCS via MSD MSD Agent.  There is a VCS that have failed has been deleted afterwards, but we cannot delete TMS because TMS Agent replication is enabled.  We cannot have the Agent MSDS tab to disable the replication because the VCS is offline (i.e. it was removed) - it just goes to the 'Connection' tab whenever I try.

  So, how can we migrate to TMSPE if TMS don't delete us the VCS in offline mode or at least turn Replication Agent MSDS for it?

  Try to run this SQL query:

  USE TMSNG

  UPDATE field_SystemField SET BolValue = 0 WHERE field_Field_Id = 1072

  UPDATE Cluster SET EnforceTMSAgentDataReplication = 0

  This should clear the replication on all VCs added to the TMS (even the zombie ones like the one you have), once it is executed, you can try to purge the VCS.

• TMS authentication TMSPE installation error

  I try to install ot TMSPE 1.3 on 14.5 TMS.

  Our TMS is synchronized with LDAP and I have an AD account that is part of the TMS 'Site administrator' group.

  When I try to install TMSPE it asks for Cisco TMS credential and I use attempts to authenticate using that account, but it still fails. I tried to use the user name and password or DOMAIN\username as the username, but it never works.

  I tried with my own domain account that is also part of the Cisco TMS 'Site administrator' group, but the result is the same.

  I always get a "MSDS authentication error" window saying "authentication failure. This user has not access to MSDS. »

  Don't know what I'm doing wrong.

  Does the account must have access admin on Windows Server itself or we're just talking the TMS application admin (like the documentation seems to indicate)?

  Must be missing something obvious...

  No need to add the account to the server, as long as you can connect to the application of TMS and confirm that the account has to site administrator permissions, it is all is needed.

• dx7300: after processor upgrade system uses no multipliers again

  Today I updated my PC (dx7300 mt) with the new c2d E6600 processor (so far I've been using c2d E6300).

  BIOS has also recognized new processor, Windows, CPU - z, the new processor is recognized correctly with multipliers x 6 to x 9 (previously my E6300 could use x 6 x 7-1600 MHz and 1860 MHz).

  I recently bought a Satellite L500 with Vista operating system. I've upgraded to Windows 7 with a upgrade Toshiba drive. After the upgrade I could no longer use the FN keys to switch my touchpad back on.
  I had to get a bluetooth mouse to use a pointing device. Can someone help me get the keys FN working again.

  You have problem with FN + F9 only or flash cards do not work?
  Have you tried to check the properties of the mouse and use the enable/disable option here?

  There are some instructions step by step on the site, but basically you check out the file "update.zip" download, copy to the root of a FAT32 formatted microSD card, then start in recovery mode (press one of the volume buttons [which it depends if you are landscape or portrait mode] and hold, then the power press and hold). From there, you can choose to update in the zip file it finds on the map.

  It is important before you have the correct version of the update, it's different for different regions of the world, and you will not be able to upgrade the (for example) Brazil version from the US site.

• Upgrade SSD using recovery discs: warnings?

  I would like to start by saying that I am pretty technology-challenged, then kindly appreciate if authors of response could use short and simple words with me.

  I have a 8460p with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit Elitebook. I want to upgrade my HARD drive of 320 GB for a 500 GB SSD. Instead of my current HARD drive cloning, I decided to do a new installation on the new SSD. I don't have a Windows 7 disc, but fortunately, HP includes a recovery with any purchase of Elitebook disc.

  However, I have read elsewhere that using a recovery on a disc SSD is a bad idea because it will lead to "problems of alignment." Well, to tell you the truth, I have no idea what this means, but it sounds bad.

  Yes, I wonder if it is safe to put in my SSD boot on my recovery disk and install Windows 7 like that.

  On an unrelated note, I read a lot of guides on the installation and optimization of SSDS. They say all the different things, which is a little intimidating. (Some people even say to ignore that these guides because many of them were written long ago, back when SSD was still in their infancy, and SSD of today do not need to be optimized.)

  In any case, is one of the things that all the guides say to use the AHCI mode, which is an option that I'm supposed to be able to find in my BIOS (I haven't checked, so I do not know!). My question is: when I should change it to AHCI mode? Before leaving my old HDD and installing my SSD? Or after putting in the SSD? Everything I know about AHCI is that it is supposed to make the SSD run faster.

  BIOS of your laptop are already set to default AHCI, you need not worry about this. Problems with SSDS come to use a SSD that is smaller than the smallest drive available on the series. In such cases, the recovery discs are confused. You propose to use a 500 GB SSD, so it shouldn't be a problem. Personally, I wouldn't do the factory restore. Instead, you can download an OEM of Windows 7 version that corrresponds to your license. Is - this Windows 7 Professional? • Upgrade drive using software mirror?

  Hi all

  I just ordered a nice new 4TB hard drive to replace the 3 disks in my server at home

  Now I have a plan to make installation painless and less time than a normal upgrade

  Here is what I intend to do:

  1. install the new drive alongside existing ones

  2 create software mirrors all existing disks/partitions on the new disk mirrored

  3. sit and allow it to synchronize

  4. break the mirrors by removing the data from the old disks

  5 fact

  Can you see the flaws in my plan, I've never really played with the software mirror (usually from hardware mirroring) and I just want to be able to do it without too many problems

  I am trying to upgrade my server TMS 14.2.1 to 14.4.2. To achieve this goal, I created on a machine virtual windows server 2008 R2 Standard with a SQL server 2012. I had made up the back of my database and migrated to my new server with my new SQL server sucessfully. When trying to install the new version of tms I get the error in the attachment.

  I tried to migrate without upgrading (from one server to another in 14.2.1 to 14.2.1) and the results are the same.
