• Why DBCA 12 c create a SYSMAN account in D/B, which contains no repository OEM

  A couple of months, I installed Oracle Database 11.2.0.3 on an AIX7.1 server. I used the DBCA Wizard to create a database of GR 11, 2 to hold the repository for OEM 12 c. I had the model provided Oracle DBCA exaggerate configured the database for use as the home of the OEM repository (EM 12.1.0.3 small deployment). I installed OEM 12 c on a Windows Server and that you have create its repository in the schema the database on AIX server SYSMAN.

  I used the Console for OEM 12 c to install the Oracle on AIX Server Management Agent. He discovered the target on this server and can handle them all. They were the basis of agent listener data and repository.

  Recently, I used the Oracle 11 g 2 DBCA on AIX server to create several databases more. None of them will be a repository of OEM. I didn'tinstruct the DBCA to use Oracle repository model. I chose the model 'General Purpost or Transaction Processing'. The created DBCA has SYSMAN in each new database. The account is locked.

  What is non-referentiel for databases sysman account? I checked in a new data bases and there are 3554 objects in the sysman schema. In the OEM 10.2.0.2 grid control system just the sysman account exists only the repository database. Does anyone know an Oracle document that explains the purpose of the sysman account in non-referentiel databases?

  Thank you very much for this information. After reading your comment, I found the document to Oracle,

  "Troubleshooting EMCA failures caused SYSMAN and other existing objects during Setup (Doc ID 1110043.1).

  A paragraph he States,

  "When the database Configuration Assistant (DBCA) is used for the creation of a database, the DBCA Wizard provides an option for the user to choose whether the Enterprise Manager Database Control should be configured in this database. Even if this option is not selected, the DBConsole repository under the SYSMAN schema is always created by the DBCA tool. »

  Which describes what happened to me. DBCA created sysman and mgmt_view accounts and the DBConsole repository, even if I choose 'configure Enterprise Manager"instead of"Configure Database Control to local management. I'll probably use emca to drop these users and remove the repository of the three databases where is is not necessary.

• Why is my imac printing docs pdf with squares instead of text

  I use OS X 10.9.5. When I want to print a pdf document was sent to me from an external source (for example, my electricity bill) the document is printed with squares where the text should be.

  Sometimes if I get an overview of printing, it will look OK but always printed with squares/no text, and sometimes it shows squares in the preview. I was not able to determine a trend.

  I tried to print the docs to two printers (HL 2140 Brother and Epson WF3620) with the same result. I can't find that someone has posted the same problem in any forum...

  If there are small places where individual letters should be, it's a problem of compatibility of fonts.

• How to reduce the size of the PDF file on scanned on my PMX922 docs

  I deal with a lot of documents, and I find that when I scan the docs on my MX922 the size of the PDF file is MUCH larger that the size of the original PDF file. That's what I see (on a document page 2):

  (Received) original size: 11 k

  Default scan (Quick Menu): 1061 k

  With compression high (Quick Menu): 116 k

  The Panel of the printer (res 150): 209 k

  Windows scanning app (150 res): 1495 k

  Scanning from the Quick Menu with high Compression seems to be the best, but it still somewhat adds to the file size. It's a big problem so I dal with many GREAT docs. Several times the size of the file increase prevents me from being able to send files. Is there anything else I can do? Does anyone have any suggestions?

  We can set the PDF to HIGH compression option in the utility of digitization of IJ and also select the image digitized transfer compression to reduce the file size of the PDF file. To do this, please follow these steps:

  1. open the utility of scanning IJ.

  2. in the Scan from Canon IJ utility window that opens, click SETTINGS... at the bottom right of the window. The settings dialog box is displayed.

  3. click on the SCAN of DOCUMENT option in the left pane of the window.

  4 in the right pane window, look for the box to COMPRESS SCANNED IMAGES to be TRANSFERRED in the Scan Options section and check it.

  5. then, in the SAVE the SETTINGS section, find the FORMAT of DATA field and ensure that PDF or PDF (multi-page) is selected, and then click the SETTINGS button to the right of the field.

  6. in the window that opens, find the COMPRESSION PDF section, then select TOP from the drop-down list. Click OK to close the window. You will be taken back to the SETTINGS window.

  7. once all settings have been selected in the SETUP window, click the OK button at the bottom of the window to save the changes. The IJ Scan Utility main screen is displayed.

  8. click the DOCUMENT button. Housing starts scanning. Click CANCEL to cancel the scan if necessary. The scanned images are saved to the location of the selected folder previously specified in the SETTINGS... window.

  Try these methods.

  In the first method, you create a document in Works, and then save it as a Word (.doc) document. In the second method, you use the Works 6-9 Converter to open the Works (.wps) word processing document in Word.

  Method 1

  If you have Microsoft Works installed on your computer

  To convert a Works in Word document, Works to save the document as a Word document and then open the document directly in Word.

  To convert a document Works 6.0, Works 7.0, Works 8.0 or Works 9.0 so that you can open it directly in Word, save the document as a Word document. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. in Works, open the document you want to open in Word.

  2. click on file and then click on record under.

  3. in the dialog box record under , do the following:

  Yes, up to 11.1.1.9.0, you will need to install a new wls House (new wls server admin) and then configure WCC ui there. User interface and COE will not work in the same field. You can have the portal and content under the same House of wls and install a new one for the user interface.

  This is due to a problem with ADF and WCC libraries.

  With 12 c, this dependence is not there, and you can install / configure all 3 (Portal, content and adf ui) applications on the same domain.

  If this is the level of the Group of hotfixes in 10.1.2 $ORACLE_HOME on the source node then Yes you have to have the same level of patches on the target node group.
