  Have you done a recent software or hardware changes to the system?

  This problem occurs because the Messenger service is disabled. The Messenger service must run on the destination computer to activate the NET SEND command.

  I'm new to LabView and have bought a digital oscilloscope and a digital signal generator.

  I have the list of remote control for each of them.

  The oscilloscope is USB, and the signal generator has only a RS232 port.

  I am able to send commands to the oscilloscope via the EasyScope software supplied with the scope, such as * CAL?, which calibrates successfully my reach.

  However, I can't have my field meet NIMAX.   I am able to get the signal generator to work in NIMAX or EasyScope.

  Could someone tell me what should I do to activate my USB channel in NIMAX, as well as my channel RS232?

  It is rather curious that the scope correctly responds to * IDN?, but fails to react on * CAL.?

  CAL may require character of specific endpoint sokme?

  What happens if you do the CAL without IDN before when you have a new session? Perhaps, the scope crashes somehow with the IDN...

  I can configure my two PCs, one as a client and a server very well. I am able to send commands from the server to the client. However, I am trying to determine how I can get feedback from the client to the server that something has changed, or a CQI that the command has been received. How I can do this in LabVIEW with the box to TCP/IP tools, or is there a better way to do it?

  Once the connection is established, TCP does not care which end is the 'server' and the 'customer '. Data can be sent in both directions using the same read and write functions. So, if you are already able to send data to the client and read on the server, you should be able to do the same to send data from the server to the client, using the same TCP connection.

  More unusual that happens on more than one router.

  Did you update or re - install the latest network driver? Suspect either the driver netword
  or the actual hardware of the network device. You can try to disable the WiFi or
  Device and external use (wired) NETWORK interface card. Or try the other one being not used - if you use
  WiFi, try hanging the router by wire and if by wire try using WiFi.

  Have you tried to do Port Forwarding? You are trying to access the other
  network devices not on your physical computer, like a printer, or even just the files on
  other computers on the network?

  Some of the old LinkSys and other routers allow to configure UPNP on the router from the
  NET but I can't believe that is your problem, since you said it happens on other routers.
  UPNP is usually controls, enabled or disabled on the router.

  When I send the command 'Install apllication' of MobileManager all platform devices. Sometimes, Mobilemanager crashes for hours, and not all devices receive the order.

• How to create a stop button to send commands via the serial port and finish labview vi?

  I want to send two commands on my camera, the first to stop the execution and the second to get out of the remote control mode. This is done on RS232. What I want is a way to put this in my existing VI that tells the device to run. Now if I stop the program, that the devices just run the last command unless I have stop manually. How can I set up a stop button that are not sent to all orders except in such a hurry? I tried the structure of the case, but didn't know how to put a part of 'status quo' If island stops in the while loop is not pressed the button.

  
  

• Cannot send command via the VISA test panel in MAX

  Hi all

  I have a small question by using the VISA test panel in MAX.  I try to send a simple command to a device and then retrieve the response data.  I am able to do this successfully through Labview, but for some reason I can't get a good answer in MAX.  The command I sent you is merely a letter (unit address) followed by an end of line character (\r\n in ascii).  In MAX, I simply adding \r\n on the string sent in the buffer (end send on written == FALSE).  All parameters of series are the same as what I have in LV (19.2, 8-n-1).  Someone at - it ideas?  It of a bit frustrating that I just want to make something simple and do not want to have to build a whole routine in LV to do this.

  I have to send control commands to the evaluation of light source package IR of ICx Photonics via Labview 9.0. So, I tried the example VI "write basic series and Read.vi. To send a command, I have to write a letter then its value and, finally, a carriage return. For example P102 [cr]. Because of the carriage return, I put the termination char '13' (dezimal) or ' (MIT). LabVIEW and the evaluation kit now know when a command completes. The problem is, that I only recover from strange letters and "?" as answers. That means a share of Labview or the evaluation kit does not include orders. Given that all other settings are good, I guess that Labview does not send with the ANSI emulation?

  But when the problem is ANSI, so I don't understand why I get the right answer when I send a single 'I' for the version of the firmware. Is it possible, that only the first letter is interpreted right?

  There is another tank of termination that I can try? Til now, I tried [cr], [VC], [lf], [LF], \r, \n, combinations of these last, none of them,...

  The material is ok. I could get the results desired with HyperTerminal.

  I'm out of ideas. HyperTerminal allows you to set a delay between characters. Maybe it's you need? The code to do what is stated below.

  I have a Labview VI that reads data from various sensors and uses the report generation tool to send all the data values to Excel. Because each race is ~ 8-10 hours long and there is tons of data, I'm not worth it to store them in a table in my VI.

  However, in my Excel report I would like to include some statistics, like the initial report, max and min values of all the data from these points. Should what kind of command I send my VI to get Excel to do this? Or would it be easier to do within Labview instead?

  Puneet.Kapoor is indeed correct, you can create an Excel macro and call from LabVIEW. An example of this in LabVIEW under help > find examples. When searching for "Excel", you will find 'Excel Macro example.' It would be more useful for the automation of your functions, or if you try to do more complex operations on your data in Excel (min and max are simple relativelty, however).

  As we have also seen, it may be easier to work with the data once it is in excel, using the '(Max) =' and the functions '= Min ()' - the choice is yours!

• Why my printer in network sends the 'remote lower level documents' and fails to print?

  I have a dell XP, we have another computer connected on a home network also XP. Until recently, everything was fine. Now the 2nd computer sends files "document remote returned" to the printer and nothing won't print. We use a HP printer all in one. I researched and found references to Windows 2000 from 6 to 8 years there is a virus, but nothing comes with windows XP.

  For me, the PC printer sharing is running XP, and the remote pc generating docs returned running Windows7.  The part works very well for 2 XP machines.

  Part remote isn't universal, but he was released for the x 200 series.

  Hi years,

  working with a modem can involve a few extra precaution to work with other serial devices.

  First of all, you say in Hyperterminal the modem receives orders: I remember that Hyperterminal always adds a newline at the end of each command so that you can try this first:

  ComWrt (4, 'ATD0040761768027; \r', 18);

  (BTW you can avoid passing through a string, unless you need to dynamically format during the show)

  Then, I would check in Hyperterminal if you use a form of handshake between the PC and the modem: If so, you need to satisfy the hanshaking even in your application of CVI.

  Third clue, that your modem may need an initialization to before it can satisfy a command AT; under Windows, you can configure the connection of modem to it creates a log file: create it and test it to find out the set of commands exchanged between HT and the modem.

  I guess this also addresses question of this thread : it is advisable to open only one thread per question so that everyone can add his experience and avoid the dulicating questions / answers unnecessarily.
