USA, in the UK?

Hello, my friend in the United States is very kindly give me his old PC - a Pavilion a630n Desktop - it has a switch that assigns 220v current. I assume that this will then make the PC that can work in the United Kingdom?

Is there something else I need to know/do?

I would be really grateful for any help anyone can give on this subject.

Yes, it's really as simple as that. Modern power supplies have no problem what voltage they get. The power cable is not even expensive, a kettle lead will often do. Sure, just that press you the switch, and before plugging, otherwise the PSU will be FRIED.

  • I bought a 2 French MagSafe adapter for my Mac of USA. Can I also use the cord French him with my USA for the first Mac adapter?

We are the USA, but visit the France my MacAir and Macbook Pro husband. Both use the 2 MagSafe power adapter. So, I bought a power MagSafe 2 with French plugs adapter. Can we mix and match, while in France, using (1) the French MagSafe 2 adapter plug directly into the more (2) the French cord with adapter USA. In addition, we were worried we needed the voltage conversion of 240 to 110 while in France but the other, the old messages suggest that we could simply use an adaptor plug French with the USA MagSafe 2 even power adapter. Is this true?

You don't need a power converter. The Chargers can use 110-240 volts. Read the fine print on the charger (you will need a magnifying glass if your eyes are as bad as mine). The only part you need is the area plug the adapter to fit the wall socket.

  • Difference between the USA and the Australian version of the EP 11

There is a significant price difference between American and Australian from Adobe. For an upgrade, it cost US $ 80 in the United States and 120 AUD in Australia. At present, the AUD is stronger than USD!

I'd be any disadvantage if I chose to download from OUR site?

There is no difference between the USA and AUD software.

  • Purchased airport Time Capsule in the USA and the cord specifies 125V. I can hook it up to 220 V?

Bought time Capsule airport in the United States

    power cord said 125v

    Can I use it on 220 V?

    K Dolega

Yes, Time Capsule will work on 100-240 v and 50-60 Hz automatically.  So, you may need an adapter to plug the power cord into the wall outlet, but you don't need a voltage converter.

Some channels of wireless 5 GHz no longer used in the United States are not legal in other parts of the world, so it may be wise to use the lower 5 GHz channels numbered to avoid any problems.

  • Toshiba built in camera, Chicony 2.0 USA get the message 'enable camera' in Vista

Im having trouble with my Tosibas built into the camera. My laptop is about 3 years, the camera used to work... after 5 months of not to use I wanted to use it and it just all just with an error message saying 'The camera' I can see a few people have the same problem but tried everything that they you told to do.

-If I go to the control panel > hardware and sound > devices and printers, there "Chicony usb 2.0 camera" but according to him there a '!' in a yellow triangle.

-If I go to Device Manager > imaging devices it says 'unknown device. Also tried to update the software, but its already updated. I could uninstall it, but then I don't know how to reinstall it again? Site Web de Toshiba wasn't any help.

-If I go into the control panel > programs > programs and features > camera assistant software > change > repair it asks me to find ToshibaCAS.exe... im so confused! someone please help!

Chicony USB 2.0 need turn on the camera.

Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you do it for the camera - drivers, firmware or sofrware), get the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows:http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Talk to technical support if you can't find these numbers on your own (and while that you have, ask them to help you in the installation and configuration).  Follow these steps to get the drivers:http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.

It is certainly a device driver or problem (as indicated by what you disclosed above).  You must obtain the correct items, and then perform the installation or the reinstallation.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • How can I use UK iMac to the power of the USA?

I'm moving for a year of UK/Ireland to a country in the Caribbean that uses of the U.S.. taken of current and voltage (so the tracks USA bought electrical goods).

I have a UK bought iMac that I prefer to take with me to buy a new mac USA-system that I needed only for a year.

Is there an easily achievable and affordable way to hang my UK mac up to an adapter to run on a system of the USA, in the same way that I could return at the top of the UK tour?

If so, what should I buy?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions and comments.

You don't need a new computer.   You will need the adapter to the plug, that's all.   Mac run on any voltage from 100 to 250.   You will be able to buy tha adapter of any electric store.

I believe you can buy adapters to travel in any store of large 'Boots '.

  • Satellite Pro A120 adapter works in the USA?

I'm leaving on a trip to the United States on business, and I don't know if I have to buy a new network for my laptop power converter.
What is the standard converter that comes with the work of A120 in the States? Or will puff up my laptop if I try to use it?
    Thank you

    Hello

I think you can use it also in the USA.
    The adapter supports the voltage 100-240 v and s 4A, 60W.

It s adapter a universal AC and must operate in the U.S. but I think you need an adapter because the fittings are a little different.

  • I'm not in THE usa AND who want TO use China for billing information, but I could not find international billing system

How can I save my credit card on Microsoft billing for international transactions systems, I want to say without using the USA information for address, State, etc.

    Hi Kimkimzee,

Your Microsoft account is probably set in the USA, so the United States billing address is requested. Unfortunately, countries on the Microsoft account cannot change, if you want to buy China store you will have to set/create new account from Microsoft (this isn't an assumption, I CHECKED THIS INFORMATION). You can try to log a Live.com account, scroll down and choose to close the account after creating new one with the same name (do not forget to China in the country). I don't know if it will work, but it should.
