  You won't like this, but unfortunately the digital tuner is not a musician Qosmio option.

  QosmioPlayer software is actually quite limited you really need to start Windows Media Center to get all the features of your machine which is a shame. There is always a chance toshiba can update the software of PS in time to take into account items such as the digital tuner.

  I don't know if this will help you, but on the Toshiba download page I found software for tuner TV USB for Vista 32 bit - check HERE.

  I didn't test it with my USB TV tuner (I have the same). What I did is to install it with WXP CD delivery. Vista later offered to me to find the Vista driver automatically.
  I just followed link offered and all goes well. You can try the same thing.

• ATI Digital Cable Tuner error "No TV Signal"

  I have a Vista Home Premium on a Dell XPS 420 with a single ATI digital cable Tuner. I installed the most recent cumulative Media Center Update 960544 but not the TV pack. I have the latest firmware ITA (1.17) from June 08.
  From the beginning, I have and continue to have frequent (maybe one in three) has no records TV and an error message was "Not of TV Signal" at check. In fact, I've seen this happen a time live, and the problem seems to be that the error appeared during the few seconds that the tuner was change channels. I was hoping that the behavior would be corrected by the updated Media Center, but he was not.
  I saw somewhere that the 1.17 firmware update tuner was supposed to fix this problem, but it did not. ATI was not helpful to address this issue and referred me to Dell. The Dell tech support person suggested to post here.
  I also posted to the green button without success.
  Does anyone have any suggestions? It's pretty discouraging. It's my first DVR and have so dependable and unpredictable, it is almost more trouble that it's worth.

  It seems to point to your tuner card regarding the issue. The fact that Media Center puts an error where the newspaper suggests he's TRYING to do his job, but there is no signal. You mentioned that this issue was supposed to have been fixed in the latest update of the ATI firmware. Still, if they are aware of the problem and tried to fix it, the ball seems to be in their own backyard.   Unfortunately Toshiba doesn't support Linux and I assume that Toshiba will not offer driver Linux soon. Most of these devices is designed for Windows XP Home or Vista edition.
  I put t have information on future activities, but I recommend you to look for info on the Linux forums.

• PC crashing with TOSHIBA USB Hybrid Tv Tuner

  I have recentlly bought a USB tv tuner hybrid Toshiba. I have connected the device to my laptop before installing the software (which must have read the manual...). However, after the cancellation of the device installation wizard I installed the software and plugged the unit... the BONE has found the new device with the following notification of the ball: "USB tv tuner hybrid found (without firmware)" and a moment later my pc crashed with a blue screen and then stop. I tried to re install the software, update the software (savvy tv 2.0) and nothing happened. My laptop kept crashing the same way... I called Toshiba technicians, suggest that i uograde firmware of the laptop... (? maybe they mean the motherboard BIOS? who knows...?).

  The laptop is not a Toshiba. However, it meets the minimum requirements. My OS is Windows XP SP2, my graphics card is ATI Mobility Radeon 1600 and my USB ports work fine with everything. I use an external display instead of the laptop screen (don't know if its relevant...)

  Any help is welcome because I am this close to return to the where I bought this product and request a refund.

  I can't imagine that the external power would contribute to the device. The + 5 line is a power - designed for external devices of power and not as an entry. You're probably stressing many different parts that are designed to operate at 5 volts and a certain amount of current. You really should use an external circuit that accepts entries of 5 volts and amplifies the voltage and current at the levels you will have to drive the relay. Connect the external power supply to the circuit. This is probably at the end to avoid the cancellation of the warranty, but maybe it's not at the end to avoid a total failure of the 6008. If all goes well, a person or who is familiar with the 6008 circuits will display saying that no damage has been done.

  I have the same camera. Last few days, I tried to get it under Win7 but no luck. WXP and Vista works well, but I can't find the driver for Vista even more.

  The last time I had the pilot of Vista by Lite-On support page but the driver page is somehow low now.
  Maybe we need something new that works better, especially with the new Win7.
