USB random sectioning and low power after Windows Update

I had a problem on my Windows 7 to USB disconnected randomly and my cell phone could not get enough power to recharge, this week, I formatted my way of thinking cell phones that could be related software.

At first it worked fine, USB not disconnect not even my phone loaded without problems.

Then, I made the update of Windows install SP1, after that everything is gone back as it was, constant disconnections and low power on the USB key.

I already change the selective suspension of USB registered false on each USB input in the Manager of peripheral and disabled "Windows can turn off this device to save power".

When it detects Ok on the phone, it shows that the use of 500mA, then he loses the connection and reconnect as unknown device and use of unknown power.

Another thing is that the often external HARD drive it freezes, when I use the performance monitor shows the current length of queue disk frozen with a value greater than 1,000.

Anyone know which alter KBs feature USB? Or how to get back the old functions?

My laptop is 2010 updated with the latest drivers from HP.

Hi, I tried something that apparently solved the problem.

Instead of removing just the USB drivers, I removed everything about USB, my edge Broadcom Bluetooth, Wi - Fi on board... because they use this interface.

After Windows again every single sensor, including the drivers of USB hub, I had no problem of disconnection or power.

In any case as soon as I can I'll try upgrading to Windows 8.

If I have gives me more problems I'll answer here.

Thanks for the support.

  • STOP 0X7E and rolling restart after Windows update

    Hello

My apologies if this has been covered before.  I did a search and have not seen this covered.

I'm working on HP zv6000 laptop computer a parent with Windows XP Home Edition.  I do not have the recovery disks that may have come with it, and there is no recovery/repair hard disk partition.  Sometime in early January, after a reboot due to the installation of the updates of Windows, he went in a rolling start scenario.  After several attempts, I got to the screen automatic reboot temporarily disabled and advanced boot options.  The error it gives is:

STOP 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0x89891E7A, 0xF78DA7B0, 0xF78DA4C) parameters with.  No module name is given after the error message.

The laptop does not start in safe mode.  It restarts after loading mup.sys.  I don't know which module occurs after that in the boot sequence, which told me a lot.

I suspect a driver issue, but do not know how to proceed from here.  I can get into the recovery console via a XP Pro CD and can start with a BartPE disk.

Can I turn off the drivers of one of these means?  If so, how do you identify which those who have been installed around January 9?   Once identified, is debilitating as simple as move or rename the driver file?

    Thanks for your suggestions!

    All,

The problem has been resolved by doing a repair of the Home CD from the manufacturer of the Windows XP installation.  It restored the laptop to XP SP2 status.  I installed the SP3 and later updates, but refused to install 3 updates of pilot.  Everything seems to work OK.

  • Constant freeze (on IE9 and mozilla and media players) after the updates of windows, please help?

    Hello

I have a bit of a situation, which I believe can be due to windows updates. I'm not very experienced with computers, but I know that I have no viruses on my computer, or malicious software, and I have corrected all the mistakes of registry. I have a dell xps l702x, i5 2.4 GHz, 8 GB of RAM. I had this problem for over 2 months and I just ran out of options on how to solve this problem. I reinstalled windows 7 all about 3 times over 2 months, and I have an idea about what's going on. My computer's internet browsers, which means of IE9 and mozilla firefox keep freezing when I use them. I tried to use internet explore with no. Add ons, without success, as well. I have a few movies downloaded, to freeze when I try to play them in VLC Player. When I re-installed windows 7, I used my pin code files for install base running programs. After windows updates (which were just of securities system and IE9) I started having the gel. It seems that some program moves data to and from the hard disk are the culprit. If I opened IE9 and it loads the homepage, if I move my mouse it freezes instantly, without ctrl + alt + delete to help me.

    Help, please!

Do not use the programs OWN more.  They do little good and can cause problems.  What may happen, it is that these programs can find registry entries that do not appear to be used, then remove them.  MS has put some of these here for future use, and when the updates come and try to use entries that has removed the vacuum cleaner, you encounter this kind of problem.

It is also possible that you may have an overheating or other related materials the problem, but if you have used a cleaner program, I would try to reinstall and do not use it to see what happens.  If that does not resolve the problem, you can check the time with SpeedFan, run the memory diagnostics, run drive Diagnostics, run chkdsk, etc., but reinstall without the program cleaning everything first.

Also, you need only to download drivers from Dell, not Intel or update MS or anyone else.  This is another way people get into trouble.

    Good luck.

  • External hard drive is not recognized after Windows Update

Original title: XP Pro wants to install driver for external hard drive that is Plug-and-Play

I think that using Windows Update can cause problems (unintentinally or not) for users of Windows XP.

In a series of accidents with an old computer and reinstall the XP Pro operating system, I discovered that MS Money installing only if it was made before the Windows updates.  (planned obsolescense?) The issue has to do with the removal of the registry AUTORUN file. INF for some new and improved files through Windows Update.  Before the updates, the file exists, and I could install MS money.  After updates, AUTORUN. Missing INF file of the registry.

Now, I encountered a new problem, and I think that it is also a result of Windows Update.  My external hard drive to IDE, that worked perfectly before on this computer (newer), is no longer recognized and want to reinstall the driver.

The problem is that it is a Plug-and-Play device, and no driver was needed before updates.  I read somewhere in my many attempts to find a solution that the MS Plug and Play system was replaced by a universal version of this feature (UPNP?)

It's on a more recent, computer replacement, which came not with a copy of the Windows XP Pro operating system, and I can't just reformat the hard drive and start all over again.

Someone else has encountered this, and if so, have you found a solution?

    Double Post suite-

Where is my external hard drive?

I'm under XP Pro on a Dell Optiplex PC with all the current Windows updates (SP3. Net4, etc..) and last month, I added a USB IDE hard drive. the hard disk enclosure is MASSCOOL, and I used a 250 GB Seagate Barracuda7800. The car worked perfectly until this week. I had the Windows Update critical update automaticlly value and security updates.

The hard drive has disappeared from "my computer." I tried to plug and unplug in different USB ports, restarted the computer, but continues to receive the "new hardware detected by saying me that new hardware has been detected and that I need to install the necessary driver.

The problem is that Seagate does not provide any driver for this drive, because it is supposed to be (and was so far) recognized by the Plug-and-Play of Windows XP software. The hard drive enclosure came with a mini CD, but this contains software to use the unit as a back-up, not for storage.

I can't understand that this change suddenly to believe that something in the Windows updates that have been installed recently changed the command structure, registry files or the drivers themselves.

I know this is possible, because I've seen what's happened to any program that relied on self. INF file that was originally part of XP. This resulted in programs like Microsoft Money and older versions of MS Office, not being able to be installed by those of us who are not 'technically lit.

I'm here in left field, or other people have had similar problems? And is anyone know how to solve this dilemma?

  • Good question after Windows update on Satellite P100 PSPA3E

I encountered a problem with my sound card after a Windows Update. It became an old analog tuner with problems of dust on his volume knob. (this is a reference "sounds like" for those old enough to remember) I updated the driver to the most recent DriverGuide.com, no joy.

I even did a complete system restore "with the"product restore disk."" Which fixed the problem until Windows updated the right files for trash again. I don't know what files do the dirty on my card since most of the windows system updates are performed while I "continue to work! Anyone with ideas?

    Thank you

    JD

    Hello

What operating system do you use? XP or Vista?

Satellite P100 PSPA3E must use a sound chip Intel high definition audio Conexant CX20551-22.

I recommend to remove the sound card in Device Manager after installing Windows updates.
Then restart the computer and install the latest audio drivers available that support the sound chip HD Conexant CX20551-22.

First of all, you should try to use the driver for the Toshiba page. If this does not work, check the Intel page!
Please don t forget to restart the laptop after windows update finished.

  • Cannot connect to internet after Windows Update

I was not able to connect to the internet after windows updates 7 of 14 October 2010, unless I have to restore the system to October 13.

    Hi jlm00926,

    ·        Update that you installed before the problem?

    ·        Are you able to connect to the internet properly now?

You can set up your computer in a clean boot state. Subsequently, download & install the update manually from the Microsoft Download Center.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx

Clean boot will start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs and helps eliminate software conflicts.

The following link has steps showing how to perform the clean boot: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: Please make sure that the computer is configured to start as usual according to step 7 of the article: how to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Hope the helps of information. Please post back and we do know.

  • Problems after Windows Update on Vista wireless

It seems that other people have a similar problem, but I'll post this new...
I've been running Windows Vista Ultimate on my Toshiba laptop for years without any problems.  Earlier this year, I started seeing issues after Windows updates.  The main problem is that after updates Windows, my wireless network is is more noticed and the wireless card (which was installed on the computer, and never had problems before) is not recognized.  I manually installed updated drivers with no luck.  The only thing that has worked is to do a system restore to a point before the updates.  The problem seems to be related to an update in general, I can't uninstall.

I find it extremely ironic that I have no problems with Vista until Windows 7 is launched. First of all, it's the wireless card, then a problem with a driver graphics card (apparently... which seems to be fixed now) and return to the wireless card.  Should I expect to continue to have problems unless I upgrade to Windows 7?  I can't continue to spend half of my day trying to fix my computer after an update that is supposed to fix the errors, but I don't like the feeling that I am forced to upgrade.

    Hi dabaum77,

From your post, it seems that the issue was occurring when Windows updates are installed automatically again even after the restoration of the system and that is why I suggest to restore the system again to a point before the updates and download and install Windows updates manually.

    Access the link below
Follow these steps to disable the automatic updates:

    1. open Windows Update by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Update, and then in the list of results, click Windows Update.
    2. in the left pane, click on change settings.
    3. under important updates, choose the option you want.
    4. under recommended updates, select the Give me recommended updates the same way I receive important updates check box, and then click OK. Need administrator permission if you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Install the updates one by one and check the update is causing the problem to occur. If the problem persists due to a particular update, repeat the process and refrain from settling the problem causing the update to.

You can also check the update problem in Windows Update history.

Follow the steps to check which day caused the issue:

    1. open the control panel (all items view), and click the Windows Update icon.

    2. click on the link to view update history.

    3. to view the details of a single Windows Update-
    (A) select and right-click on a Windows Update list, and then click details.

    (B) click on close when finished.

You can also uninstall the update that is causing the problem to occur, although it is not recommended.

    1. to uninstall a Windows Update, you must go to programs and features. There are several ways to find it. One of the simplest is to use the search box on the start menu.

    2. in the programs and features, click the link updates installed.

    3. after a few seconds, Windows Vista will load the list of installed updates. Scroll down the page until you find the update you want to delete, select it with the mouse and then click on uninstall.

    4. Windows Vista will ask you to confirm that you want to uninstall the update you selected. Click Yes and the uninstall process will begin.

5 depending on the size of the update, the uninstall process may take from several seconds to several minutes.

    6. wait for the window above will disappear and, if necessary, restart your PC. The update is now deleted.
