  I'm fighting to get the audi is working on my dc7100 usdt. Device Manager says it's working properly but the internal speakers no sound no matter what I do.

As the two systems are available at the start but most all the time Windows 7 Pro would use. The computer is Compaq 7100, WCL PP255US, 3.2 GHZ Intel Pentium 4, 3 GB of ram, Council ch h 0968, bios HP 78 1 v01.05 16/06/2004, chip Intel 915 G Express.  According to the website of Seagate Barracuda 320 GB with (quote), ' he not there no master/slave because every player relationship is considered to be a master in a relationship from point to point.» If two drives are connected to a Serial ATA host adapter, the host operating system considers that the two devices as if they were the two "masters" on two ports separated. Both drives behave as if they were device 0 (master) devices.  On the drive Samsung (SP0411C) I put a jumper for master, it is connected to the motherboard instead of disk 1. Used rider illustrated for Samsung SP0411N since I did not see the SP0411C listed. When selecting information for Samsung Seagate site sometimes showed data for their readers. This is perhaps due to the recent acquisition of Samsung or maybe my mistake.  Tried swapping around wiring of each drive but that didn't work of course. Looked at the settings in the BIOS but did not see a way to create the dual boot.  Please let me know if you need more information.   Hello oscarmint, I checked the specifications of your system and it does not show the system supports two types of hard drives.

  The system supports only Serial ATA (Sata) synchronous Maximum 150 MB/s transfer rate

  You would need to make the jumper on the Seagate 320 GB Sata Drive pin, set at 150 MB/s.

  You are right that the Seagate would not Cable Select or slave settings and it would be the master and only on cable.

  If the 40 GB hard drive is a type of ATA (IDE), you'd better put as selection of cables (CS).

  I would like to be able to Flash the BIOS to the boot prompt, or with a USB/CD/DVD based tool. I can't open any OS even from live DVD.

  My Presario SR5507F came originally with Vista installed, but over the years, it has been upgraded to Windows 8.1. He gave us many years of reliable service, but sometimes the last fall the PC began to experience some powerdowns and seemingly random reboots.

  Things get pregressively worse until the PC was unusable. He would go for 15 or 20 minutes and then restart. The trouble began shortly after a Windows Update, so I thought it was a problem of update patch or driver. I tried return that a withdrawal patches nothing helps. I also tried to install Ubuntu and Fedora, but they have the same problems. Fedora is worse than Ubuntu, however. I tried to reinstall Windows 8.1, then 7, and finally the original Vista operating system 32-bit, but all the Windows installations fail at some point during the installation drivers. The computer passes just a restart endless cycle and cannot install Windows.

  I performed memory tests, but they all go and I use a text based operating system, such as BACK.

  I tried to reflash the BIOS, thinking he was damaged in one of the restarts, but since I can't install any version of Windows, the BIOS flash tools refuse to work. I need to be able to Flash the BIOS from the prompt at startup or DOS command. Is there such a tool from Compaq/HP?
