  Creating a catalog.

  I've defined two 'the hyperlink destination' and using them as "cross references" in my table of contents.

  I'll add many of the cross-references more soon, but I need the Panel cross-references to the list of people with meaningful names, so I can find and edit easily.

  Otherwise, I might be better off just update numbers manually when the catalog is updated (yuck).

  Is there a way to Cross reference panel to use meaningful names without using the name in the visible text on the page?

  I decided to believe there is no solution to the Panel Cross references give me a more explanatory list.

  At least I can highlight the text Variable in the doc and the Destination of the respective hyperlink is highlighted in the cross-reference panel. This will have to do.

  

• Eratic behavior: book, the main text blocks and Cross References

  I'm on InDesign 2014.2. Mac.

  I'm working on a fairly large book. About 14 chapters / sections, about 400 total pages. There are also hundreds of cross references, almost all of them to anchor references.

  The design of the book is as simple as possible. There is no graphics, text blocks only.

  I use a single master page, with facing pages, and a block of text type. I used it throughout the production of the book, and the primary text flow worked well, chapter after chapter. Pages have been created automatically, and automatically flowed text.

  Maybe I need to change the page size of the book, and I also have a lot of editing to do which will reduce a lot of the chapters. I wanted to make sure all pages use the main text flow to do that, go as gently as possible.

  To my dismay, I discovered that although I used systematically throughout the book master text streams, all but three of my chapters have inexplicably lost their text stream. All images in these chapters have converted into ordinary images. That I edit the book, it's playing havoc with paging and referrals.

  I tried to restore the flow of text in one of the first chapters. It's easy to do, in theory.

  • Move the first page off to the side frame
  • Delete all pages except the first page
  • Command-shift-click on the first page to restore the flow of the main text
  • Copy and paste the contents of the old frame into the primary stream restored.

  
  

  When I do, the pages to move properly, and I'm back to having a chapter with a block of primary text on each page. Unfortunately, this breaks all cross-references that refer to this newly reorganized chapter and all references to the front in this chapter.

  
  

  I tried to do all that I could imagine. Only remove the frames and not pages. Try without the busy book. Nothing works. I tried the command update cross-references in the book menu. Has nothing.

  
  

  It seems impossible to redistribute the text in a new primary master framework, without completely breaking the cross references.

  I finally found something that seems to work:

  • Create a new master page at the end of the document.
  • Go to the last page of the history of the chapter and the last history image a link to the text block type on the page that you just created.
  • In the pages palette, delete all pages in the document, with the exception of the master page that you created.

  All text will be redistributed within the frameworks of masters, and cross-references (to and from the frame) seem to be intact.

  Is there a way to change the text that is displayed in the labels in a report over the Group? For example, I have a report above group with my columns of data and above the columns, I have my column labels, but I would like to be able to display various text, i.e. different labels according to requirement. In other words, Column1 label could say column 1 or it's Column1, based on a condition. This is Oracle Report Builder 10.1.2.0.2.

  If you use the wizard the column headers are created as fixed text elements. No way to change that.
  So, you have to delete text and replace by fields that use some of the columns in your data as the source model. This is how I create reports all the time. There is never any fixed text, all the text is retrieved in the data model.

  You can also use the format trigger. Simply place the elements of different text on top of the other and return TRUE or FALSE to display the correct label.

  Click on each image individually.

  Fill the field caption for this photo.

  Repeat until all these photographs were legendary.

  (Note If you have selected all selected or more than one and you are in the library grid view, all of them will receive the same legend.) This may have been what happened to you.)

  Hello. We are setting up a 2 cluster nodes. This group will be the host of several RAC databases. For security reasons, our network team want to create separate subnets for the application traffic to each RAC specific database on the cluster.
  
  For example, request 1 to 2 application servers that will connects to database PROD1 RAC via a single subnet, application 2-3 application servers etc which will be connected to the database RAC PROD2 via a different subnet,.
  
  In addition, the network team want to configure a subnet separate management DBA etc. will use to administer all the RAC databases and infrastructure in the cluster.
  
  Version 11.2.0.2 grid infrastructure. The database versions vary from 10.2.0.x to 11.2.0.2. All databases will use RAC.
  
  We want to take advantage of the features of earphone SCAN to support connectivity to databases on the cluster. 2199620 [https://cn.forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2199620] thread suggests that 11 GR 2 supports several subnets, that seems to be exactly the functionality we need. Please can you confirm how it works and tell us any documentation (standard docs, whitepapers, MOS, etc.) which could help us to configure it.

  With Oracle 11.2, you can have multiple public networks accessing your Oracle RAC.
  You must set the init.ora new LISTENER_NETWORKS setting so users are load-balanced on their network. Services are related to the networks so users who connect with network 1 will use a different service as network 2. Each network will have its own VIP.

  Impossible to use both network SCAN function because SCAN will work into a single network and on GRID 11.2 you cannot config more than a SCAN.

  So, you can have a public network (for example, 10.10.10.0) with SCAN/VIP and another public network (e.g. 192.168.217.0) you will only use VIP on TNSNAMES.ora.

  You configure a Service (A) on the network (10.10.10.0) and one other Service (B) on the network (192.168.217.0).

  In the example above using (A) Service you will configure SCAN (scan host) and using Service (B), you must configure all address VIP.

• Cross reference marker text differs from the text on the page

  The text for a cross-reference marker is different from the written text of the page. For example, I have a numbered heading written as "3.1 Cats and Dogs", but the text of cross-reference to this position marker is "55227: title 1: 2.1 pigs and horses." The cross reference looks and works great on the page, but I can't understand why the text of the marker is different, and why it cannot be updated to match the text on the page.

  The target of a cross-reference marker must have a unique string that differentiates it from any other marker of cross-reference in the file... it is how Frame numbers how when it comes so it can maintain the link and make updates. As you have probably guessed, this string is a concatenation of way random (I think) integer to format BMP target and target the text of TFP at the time of the creation of the xref. With all these settings, it is easy to achieve the goal of a single string.

  It seems appropriate to have this text update during an update of the xref, if something changes in the target. However, this would create two problems:

  -All xrefs that are not being updated at the time wherever the marker is published would be broken. For example, suppose you have xrefs folder has a target and make updates, which modifies the marker of target due to changes to the target. Any xrefs in file B (or any file for that matter) would become broken, because they are still configured to search for the previous string of marker.

  -An update of the xref always you would have to save the changes to the target file, which is an inconvenience at best. For example, if you have made an update of the book and xref target markers have been changed, you'd have to make sure that the files associated with the changes were saved later, otherwise your xrefs update would be broken later.

  So, in summary, the text of the marker is just a unique identifier that is defined during the creation of the xref and necessarily must stay the same for its useful life, unless you want to go around fixing broken xref all the time. Moral of the story... do not put swearing or slandering of boss in your topics like temporary jokes if you never create xrefs their

  I was wondering if there are any suggestions out there for using cross-references in the index.
  
  I don't think you use the option 'see also' is what I'm looking for; what I want to do is to create index with a cross next to them reference entries.
  
  I tried this by creating an entry index and typing (see "another name of the topic") next to it, but when I compiled the project that this index entry has not been included because I do not have a subject entrusted to him.

  Index of cross-references are designed to allow you to have keywords in the index when you click on redirect the user to another keyword. For example I use for acronyms to redirect users to the long version. You are subject cross references within the project? If so, you may not use the index of references by indexing the same way? If the cross-reference you want is outside the project, using the index is not the way I would say.   Most of my friends seem to use regular text for their programming php editors.  No need to connect to a database with my code.  I just want something that includes php functions and other, so that the appropriate boxes are highlighted.

  Or as missing semicolons and other php errors are easy to spot.

  While Dreamweaver CS4 didn t add significant improvements for PHP developers in particular, the new CS5 version is actually a huge step forward. Please take a look at the excellent review by David Powers: Dreamweaver CS5 is a good news for PHP developers

  My recommendation? Well, if you consider Dreamweaver CS3 in general (not just talk the specifics of PHP) as overall useful tool in many areas (e.g. CSS, rendering, visual layout drafts etc.), then CS5 will be an improvement in these areas as well and might be interesting to try/buy. On the other hand: If you´re only interested in "whatever" development tool to give you advanced PHP support, the eclipse - based Aptana plugin or the Netbeans PHP IDE are both fairly thin tools.

  I have a document with some parties updated with the fusion of data (via placeholders). Is it possible to set a style of different cases for the same placeholder in the same text. See the example:

  Mike runs its < < vehicule_placeholder > > in the city. But its < < VEHICULE_PLACEHOLDER > > is meant to be shared.

  If the value of this placeholder in the file merger is 'bike', the sentence should be:

  Mike runs his bike in the city. But his BIKE is meant to be shared.

  You can do it. A character style for this configuration placeholder text, set in all caps.

• Control reference 1055 error when you use a loop for

  I'm having a problem using control references to accomplish the following: I a VI that reads data from a text file, and then uses that automatically update the value of a control on front panel on two live different, then set the default values, and then save them. Comes from the array of control references, I tried looping on text labels until I have find the one corresponding to the order, I want to change and then update its value. The problem I have is that if I use a loop for, then 9times of LabVIEW 10 complains error 1055: "LabVIEW: object reference is not valid. If instead I the wiring to the index table and manually extract the reference, then it works every time and for each index of the reference of the order.

  Can someone take a look at my code and just see if its obvious what the problem is? In this case, I have a simple solution, but I would really like to understand what I did wrong. I have included as a code snippet, but also attached the files if that helps (Its Import_Colormap.vi, which is the problem). Persons with disabilities code fails, the active code works but I can't see what is really the difference between them - I can change the index of array 0,1,2, 3. and no mistake.

  Your "Colormap.ctl" is a strict type def that contains a ring.  You define the elements programmatically, make the default values, and then save the "Colormap.ctl"?   I was never practicing this but here is a thread that covers this in detail. I do not understand what you expect reach by running.
  The next thing: at the same time (at the same time!), you open the Colormap.vi (this is what we see in yout PNG) that contains an instance of the Colormap.ctl on the front panel. I'm not pretty sure if LabVIEW can handle this correctly. This could be the reason why you sometimes get the error 1105.
  I prefer StringsAndValues and eventually the value of the ring running.  There is no need to do it with a def of strict type.

  My first idea was to develop a format that would be part of a paragraph ONLY text that has a style CrossRefNo character called (in my case), which is just a character style empty developed purely for this purpose. However when you use the

  < name cs = "" > < / CS > definition its plain enough that it is not infact extract text which is a certain CStyle but rather the text found in a certain formatting style (which seems a little redundant next to the button below which gives you the ability to apply a character style to the reference). So if you only use this format unless you type something in the field, it will produce no real text.

  I'm looking for is essentially the objects they used to build the formatting code cross references.  If they have already available from 10 items or if it is extremely restrictive.  Is there a type of < foundText = theTextWithinThisParaThatIsFormatedWithThisCharacterStyle = "CrossRefNo" > < / found text >

  You are right that InDesign CS4 references this is impossible. However, dtptools.com plugin commercial references can to extract only the text that is tagged with a character of a paragraph of the source style.

  Hello. I am looking for a way to write comments on an indesign document.

  The comments which will never be unprintable relative to the visibility of the layers.

  Scenario:

  I created a document a4 complex with about 10 different masters for 10 different types of pages, with many styles of character, paragraph, and table.

  This document will be assembled in the end to print.

  Problem:

  I won't be the only one using these documents, and my colleagues have never used indesign before

  Idea:

  Leave comments on the indesign document for them to read, comments absolutely not printable.
  'Fill this box with your text.

  'Put your image here.

  and so on...

  Anyone know if this is possible?

  You can create a layer for this type of text and uncheck the print layer 'Layer Option for layer X' tear-off menu.
