• Use the logo of the brand?

  I use a bootstrap model to design a new website. How to use our logo as a mark? Or should I? To be our name in text in this space?

  It is not mandatory.  However the actual text gives you an advantage with search engines, screen readers, and language translators who cannot "read" images.

  Another Bootstrap option is to have your site/company name encapsulated inside a title with a class only sr .  Only SR is one of many BS helper classes.  It hides the element from all devices except the screen readers.

• Looking for Oracle Support Doc that explains + and * conventions used in the Oracle certifications.

  A few months back I saw a (link to an oracle doc) post in the forums of essbase explaining the conventions used by oracle and what they mean when they say that a platform supports the "Software.1. * ' as opposed to '+ Software.1'. • Contradiction about the Images used in the Logo

  According to the FAQ of Stock of Adobe (and apparently the Adobe license terms):

  BUT:

  How does this jive with the fact that Adobe Stock is WRAPPED LOTS of images of logo that are clearly intended to be used as logos? They have 'logo' in the name and the keyword tags and appear in searches for "logo".  Why is - that this is allowed if the images cannot be used in logos?

  No, images cannot be used in logos. Logos must be registered and trademarked. This requires ownership of the work. A picture of license does not imply ownership, just a license to use it as an illustration.

• How to use a photo for a fill on a logo

  Ive tried for days to figure this out, but I can't. Im not well versed with photoshop, so Im coming to the community here for help. I'm not a master of the modalities and tools either so I might be a little slow.

  Im trying to get a logo for my business friends to go on top of a background image, then, in a way show the background image, leaving just the logo image within the limits and then empty space around the logo. I have an example that someone from another forum has tried to do for me to walk through, but he stopped helping me all of a sudden.

  Using your logo above, reverse (Image-> adjustments-> invert) If you have a white logo with a black background and set the blend mode 'multiply '.

• Logo / use GroupPix for wedding

  I was recommended by Garry on Adobe GroupPix blog here.

  I am writing to request approval to use the logo of Adobe GroupPix and if you can provide the version vector for our wedding next year.

  We invited about 80 + users to download, install, and join my album. I would like to place posters and cards reminder on the tables of guests. Instead of disposable cameras, we'll use Adobe GroupPix.

  Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I think that the use of GroupPix to collect photos of all your friends and family at a wedding is a fabulous idea! While I can't provide you with the logo in a file, our marketing group said that it is ok for join you to download or the app store logo and use when recommending your wedding guests your GroupPix screenshot album. • Design of a logo for a client, when they are not sure of the intended use

  Can someone tell me a good "rule" in the design of a logo for someone who does not know what size they want to use this logo in the future? If they do not know what print size they can (business card size or more big sign) - what size is the best to give them AND if they don't know what web size they need, what size is good to give them where they have room to resize? What format is best, I? or pdf?

  This is especially a concern if the logo is done in Photoshop. Any suggestions on standard dimensioning or normal practice in this case? Thanks in advance - K-

  In general, I would like to put the logo to any size that fits on a format sheet paper letter so that the customer can easily print on almost any printer of office as is. If you are an Illustrator *.ai or EPS file without linked or embedded, bitmap images then you don't need to worry about the final size in its various applications, as it will scale without loss of resolution. It can be used for a business card or a billboard.

  If this is done in Photoshop, then you can start with a master file which is enough PPP resolution larger size of the logo of the application. Then, you or the customer can downsample from there. (But since we are in an Illustrator forum and not a forum for Photoshop, I'll show my prejudices Illustrator here and recommend that you use Illustrator for logo if possible work ;-)

  Always handy to give a customer a PDF and JPEG version in addition to .ai or .eps files in case they do not have a Postscript printer or Illustrator.

  Others may have standard practices to suggest.

  In order to legally protect the logo, you will need to file, as Scott suggested, copyrights and trademarks filed with the Government. Assuming that the United States, www.copyright.gov and www.uspto.gov are starting points regarding the information on this subject. The other way is to hire a lawyer that specializes in the present. All rights of author/trademarks of my company are filed through our lawyers. This can protect its intellectual property in the judicial system if it is granted, copyrights and trademarks.

  As Scott also says there is really no way to prevent someone else use or recreate the company IP. The only thing she can do is to protect themselves / companies legally and fight, legally, in the courts, no matter which using the intellectual property of the company without his consent, the case will be considered as missing copyrights and trademarks.

  There are reasons to keep a distributable logo, high resolution/vector. Advertising, for example. I can't count the times I have had to re - create a logo for a client because they have a high resolution or vector logo. For example, I'll work on a publication which is sponsored by a single client. This project is funded by the advertising costs. I get advertising information for customer advertising and logos are * not usable * for a publication of high quality. I need to contact the advertiser in order to recreate their trademark logo. If I am allowed to recreate, I recreate and send it to them in formats for each general use. If the logo is easy to replicate, I have usually charge for my service because my publication only reflects on me, a designer. (Look so bad logos, my bad eye). Sometimes I don't have to charge an hour on a complex logo but have never had a client not happy to pay to receive the logos of high quality for any other use. The strange thing here, is that I am paid to someone of another design (although the only time) and don't mind the advertiser. Personally, I wouldn't have any other designer/layout artist or anyone who recreate a logo or any other IP I have and take advantage of her. This is the reason why I always provide vector illustrations to other editors.

  I work the Oracle database for 4 years, I think taking a certification. Got confused that one to take the 1Z0 - 051 exam or exam 1Z0-047. That one would be beneficial, where I can put these graduates in my Cv.Recently I heard that, for exam 1Z0-051, certificate not be planned. Is it so?

  Looking at other posts by yourself you ar works with SQL... and just maybe some PL/SQL (or maybe not).

  1Z0-051 is an easier exam, it will give you a pass exam but not a certification. By doing this you will ensure you have studied basic subjects.

  1Z0-047 is a more advanced test a certification does not, in general, it is much more difficult and involves more complex.

  Locate the reviews on http://certification.oracle.com and displaying the categories are useful.

  My personal recommendation is generally to study 1z0 - 051 first, then consider 1z0-047.

  If you have passed an exam you can put this in your cv.
  If you have received confirmation that you received a certification , you can put that information in your cv or download the logo of certview.oracle.com if that is your desire and insertion according to the instructions. Logos of certification in the CV is not my scene.

• Video rendering error 10008 when using PNG on clip

  As soon as I add a PNG above a video clip, it fails when I try to make. It gives the error code 10008 is. I tried several png. If you add in front of a video, it will work fine. As soon as you try to use the same image over the video (using a logo for example), it fails as stated above. This means that I'm not able to add a logo watermark to videos.

  A simple alternative is to put your watermark on a green or blue background as a pdf file, then use the green/blue screen installation.

  I remember reports that contain PNG used to ensure transparency in photo - images to have exactly the same dimensions of the pixel as the setting of the project, for example, 1920 x 1080 full HD.  However, if this were not the case, I thought they still made, but have been converted to PDF, if transparency does not.

• logos.msm in CVI2013 SP2 depends on logosxt.msm with a different signature

  I installed SP2 of LabWindows/CVI 2013 on a Virgin pc.

  I want to use the data base module which has the logos.msm as a dependency.

  The logos.msm has the dependency to the logosxt.msm. It takes the logosxt.msm with the signing of LOGOS_XT.672098DB - A 28-3 - 4BF5 - 9 d 75-5134A5E2F6B7.

  But the logosxt.msm that is in the package of the ICB has the signature LOGOS_XT. D8E0C1BC_E3D3_4700_AAC1_E0A396CAD686.

  If the signatures are not as expected, I get an error using the installshield.

  Could you please give me a version of the logos.msm with the corresponding logosxt.msm?

  I can't use older logos.msm because installshield says they are marked as 64-bit components and cannot be used in my 32-bit Installer.

  It seems that you have discovered a bug! We have filed a bug report to the team that has the merge modules, and they should be fixed for future versions. In the meantime, the merge modules attached report the correct RequiredID in their ModuleDependency table. You can replace the merge modules of logos currently installed in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Merge Modules\ with these.

  Note: installation recent OR software such as LabVIEW 2014 will overwrite these merge modules, so you will need to replace them again.

• The use of the standard features of Blackberry

  Please excuse my ignorance. I am very new to develop Blackberry applications. I use Eclipse that I have some experience with Java, although not much. Part of my problem is that I do not own a Blackberry, I'm doing this to help a friend. I spent the the last few days reading or watching the tutorials and passing by the code example and have now managed to create a couple of screens for my application.

  The only time I've ever seen anything like that on a Blackberry is on the 9550 Simulator provided with my Eclipse plugin. What I was wondering if there is a way for me to use the buttons as the standard buttons that I see on the Simulator or whatever I have to do my own bitmaps. Like these:--

  One last question, even if I have a thousand. In looking at some of the simulator sections, I want to use the features I see that when I click on Media/photos I show a list like that: -.

  

  And when I click on one of the slides in the screen to the left with the new screen sliding from the right. I would like to use this kind of thing in my application. Can you point me to some tutorials or resources or give me some advice on how to do this?

  The function of 'transition' (sliding screenes in) is available on OS 5.0. See the Transitions API.

  You may not use these logos existing app (you called buttons?)-they are part of the RIM.

  You cannot use the toolbar existing - it must invent your own.

  That said, you can certainly duplicate these features if you spend a little time to understand the architecture of the user interface and existing controls.
