• Question about the use of sharing with several pools of resources

  The design of our environment vSphere has several pools of resources at the root, each series 'Normal' value stocks, and if the resources tab shows that each resource pool '% of the shares' value of 3%.

  However, some resource pools have 50 + VM and others have only 1 or 2.

  Is someone can confirm that this is wrong and that should have a pool of resources with more than VM have a proportionately higher value of action?  This assumes of course that all the resource pools are of same priority (be they makes me wonder why we use pools of resources at all... but that's another issue)

  The reason why I ask is that the 'worst deal allocation' is for memory and CPU is much higher on the pools of resources with multiple virtual machines, so it's obviously something in the algorithm of resource allocation that is aware of the total number of virtual machines in the pools. Resource pools are defined as extensible and I'm assuming that this "worst case allocation" would go down considerably as the cluster approached his ability, but I wanted to check before starting to change things...

• Problem with VCenter, and VM of not listed in the use of resources

  We recently had a problem with a power being pulled cable and now things are a little twisted...  We had to reboot our servers (ESX1 and ESX2) ESX and VCenter.   ESX1 said that HA had been disabled and restarting didn't help, so we chose the command to 'Reconfigure for VMWare HA'.

  And now, after he reconfigured, it's what we have: ESX1 12 virtual machines on it, and ESX2 4.  ESX2 shows consumption of the normal resources of the virtual machines that are on, however, ESX1 says that there are 3 VMs on, but none of them use ANY resource.

  I've attached a screenshot of what I'm going to have to explain.  It is not sensible.  I can connect to the VMs that are lit on ESX1 3, but as far as VCenter is concerned, they are not using any CPU or mem...

  Any help, ideas or whatnot would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you!

The reason I ask, I have a number of modules in a disabled state that I did not take in case I decide to reactivate/use again. I was just wondering if having Add-ons related to FF software, even in their disabled state, caused Firefox to use a more resources (cpu/ram) than if they have been completely removed? If it makes no difference that it is in the use of the ram/cpu if the disabled add-ons are deleted or not deleted, then I'll just leave off and cancelled. But given that my Firefox eats more cpu and memory the longer I use it, I am interested in getting rid of everything that consumes resources, especially if I do not really use them.

  I do not think that my question is specific to my tech sheet, but use: Windows XP Pro SP3 and Firefox 9.0.1 (which I intend to update when I finished research on which version is best for me in terms of performance, but especially the compatibility with my essential modules).   First of all, please update Firefox 20. Firefox 9 is no longer supported or secured, 20 Firefox being the only secure version of Firefox. you need to stay up-to-date to stay secure. your modules will be updated and work with Firefox 20 when you install it.

  Add-ons - disabled are just that, people with reduced mobility. They don't slow down Firefox more if they have been uninstalled. • How to call the samples shipped with JDE

  I'm new to the BlackBerry development. I downloaded and installed JDE 4.7 which contained similators 9530 and 9500. JDE and Load Simulator fine on my windows XP machine. I use JDK 1.5. I had a few teething problems if anyone can help it will be great.

  It's strange that this simulator does not load if the java environment variables (JAVA_HOME, CLASSPATH and path to the location of the binary java) are defined in the windows environment. It loads well if the environment does not contain these variables. I worked around this by setting the variables in the environment and using a jdkenv.bat file if necessary.

  When I run ide.bat (for JDE) he lookes for javaw.exe in the path which make sure by running jdkEnv.bat before ide.bat. So my JDE also charge very well. I did a generation of samples shipped with JDE he built successfully. So far so good.

  Problem:

  When I try to run the samples, it loads the Simulator fine. I also see the name of the sample applications, if I followed the following phone Simulator {options} USER interface-Advanced Options-Applications online online I can see the names of all listed here demo. But I don't see any UI on the Phone Simulator that I can use to invoke these demonstrations of?

  I tried an explicit charge of the demo by file-> load Java program, it displays an hourglass and returns me to the phone home screen. It also updates the date and time of the application above mentioned location to the new location. But I'm still not a UI element user where I can call it in the demo.

  How to call HelloWorld or PhoneApiLog demo of the Simulator.

  We have helped our clients in their transitions from older systems on Windows 7/8, specifically to ensure that some legacy applications will work properly on the new systems.  Some of these applications require the dongles for software protection that use parallel ports with DB-25 connectors.  We have been able to make applications for work in systems of Windows 7 by installing a PCI or PCIe parallel port card, but can't make it work on Windows 8.x systems:

  1. The parallel card works fine on Windows 7 systems.  We have the enforcement (DS1410D.sys) device driver and the driver of parallel port of the supplied system (parport.sys) loaded with the LPT1 printer port and the functions of the application as expected value.
  2. Same configuration would cause BSOD on Windows 8, due to the REFERENCE_BY_POINTER error.
  3. 8.x Windows would start if the printer port is set to something other than LPT1.  However the application device driver would then not be able to detect the dongle.
  4. The only difference between Windows 7 and Windows 8 is the parallel port driver.  Parport.sys file version is 6.1.7600.16385 for Windows 7 and is 6.3.9600.16384 for Windows 8.

  It seems that Microsoft changed something in its parallel port driver that triggered the conflict of resources.  Everyone knows the same problem?  Anyway to get around the problem?
