Use of the CPU 100%, the system crashes often

Hi, I'm an IT support Engineer, we have a Department in our company, and last week two, the employees of this Department are problems, 100% usage and the system freezes. I formatted and scan too after I got some biscuits that has been deleted by Symantic, but always facing the problem, maybe a shared folder got infected and they use that shared folder, he gots system this question.

Please let me know what is the solution, there is no particular process causing the CPU usage.

Operating system is Win 7 64 bit and antivirus is the Symantec Endpoint.

If the 100% CPU usage is split into several processes?
("there is no particular process causing the CPU usage)

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when the computer not / when they connect. Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.) You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when thecomputer is (or they connect) that they do not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what fits the time processor/CPU and memory. This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.  This could better focus in on what is actually using the time processor.

What this for any other account?  What if it is not connected to the network?

    In most cases, a sudden and complete computer shutdown is either caused by overheating or bad RAM problems... well I have seen some buggy programs that cause this too, but since you say it's random, I would place my bet on one of the first two problems.  I suppose that there is nothing in the system (start-> Run-> "eventvwr.msc") event logs?

    You could try to run a freeware such as 'Core Temp ' software which will display your CPU temperature and loading, and may allow you to avoid this problem.  Running tests of RAM may also be revealing even if RAM tests tend to stress the CPU overheating so cause so you may not know that is your problem.  If you have replaced the power supply, then I guess that you have cleaned the sheep of dust on the motherboard and check the CPU fan rotates properly while you were there.

  • Several questions, the system crashes, corrupted notepad.exe.mui, SFC scan errors, cant play Battlefield 4 game

    Original title: I need help - corrupt notepad.exe.mui

    Hi all! This is my first time around these parts, so forgive me if I make a mistake and prepare for a long story.

    Quick information on my computer:

    Windows 7 64 bit

    AMD Radeon HD 7950

    8 GB RAM

    Intel i5 4670 k 3.40 GHz Quad Core

    Recently I bought Battlefield 4 for PC. I have loaded on my computer with ease but quickly came across a problem when I tried to play the game. My GPU drivers were apparently outdated and he gave me the choice of either a. cancellation of the launch, or (B) try to play anyway. Looking forward, I tried to launch anyway. No dice, the game freezes immediately and I can not play. At a time of the option.

    After traveling around for a bit, I discovered that my drivers were, in fact, to date and should update. So I downloaded the latest drivers, "AMD Catalyst Omega", and you click install (note that I have not manually uninstall previous drivers, so I don't know if it has really done anything). After that, he went through the whole process, do things (I suppose) as uninstall the old drivers and install the new. After it was over, I was able to boot successfully in the field of battle 4 and was able to play both the campaign and multiplayer without fault at 60 fps oh high heat. (Great game BTW, recommend to all who love FPS).

    Well, after a few hours, I decided to call it a night. After closing, I noticed that the bar at the bottom of my screen flickered from top down in very quickly. Naturally, I found it quite strange and decided to shut down my computer (thinking at the time, that I should probably do that as soon as the new drivers were installed - it was the result of not doing).

    The next day, I woke up wanting to start playing Battlefield 4. But, much to my dismay, my computer froze as he was loading the desktop. Now, it was nothing new for me, I had a lot of computer problems in the past, I can fix it this one as well. My first thought was just reboot and see if that will change anything. Unfortunately, he did nothing. He froze in the exact same task as he had before. It started to scare me a little. Previously, during an automatic update of windows, is the same thing. He has downloaded everything installed fine, very good, but when my computer restarted and tried to load to the top of my desk, my computer would freeze. Finally, I had to use system restore and restored my computer to a point before Windows automatically updated. After that, I disabled the automatic updates and him haven't touched since (Yes, my computer is has not been updated for months and months. I think that I stopped the download of updates at the time an update of Windows technically dirtied by malicious software that would crash the computers).

    I noticed the problem how similar I saw now was the question I had before with the updates of Windows. So I took to the system restore and wala, my computer was still running reliable update of the driver pre - GPUS. Now, I was still burning for some 4 battlefield. Whether I went through the same process as before, it would result in the same outcome, I did a little research. It turns out that someone had a similar problem for me. Their solution was to ensure that information on previous drivers had gone to 100%, and it said to use two programs called DriverFusion and CCleaner, well, I followed the instructions of the solution: uninstall the drivers - with DriverFusion - restart good computer - installation of new drivers - to go, but once again, no dice. A frozen at the exact same task as it did before.

    Now completely annoyed at all this, I'll be back and system restore to the point that I just had previously. Except that this time it did not work. Were no longer my system restore bringing back me to the settings of the computer that worked, it would freeze (and sometimes a blue screen), every time I tried from the desktop. Sometimes, I could get a few minutes before it would freeze, other times that I do not see my office. And it doesn't matter what time I have to put in place. Sometimes, the system restore would work, sometimes it wouldn't, but in two results, it would freeze at the office.

    Panic is now being that my computer does not seem to work at all. I can still run without danger made (thank God for that), but normal Windows is just the gel. As my panic slowly transforms into a will, I turn to google to see if someone is having my exact problem (Note: everything I do on my computer is in safe mode, and any internet research I do is on my smart phone). Finally, I came across a page saying: I need to use the command "sfc/scannow" and this should solve my problems. If I use the command, and he said that he detected problems, but has been unable to fix. He also said that he saved the information on the analysis in a journal, a journal that I could access. So I do! The entrance to the EXACT newspaper that speakes of the error is.

    "(Note that I stressed and bolded what I assumed important information, and it's the only mistake he came with).

    The only thing that I have noticed time and time again is the reference to a file called "notepad.exe.mui". Curious, I investigated more research and found that the file may be damaged and even deleted without knowing you, even by simple virus. Now, I know that I had a virus on my computer when the update of the driver. Try to add the pieces together, I thought that maybe this virus was the reason that this file has been going crazy and maybe even corrupt the file itself. Later in the article to tell me about the "sfc/scannow" command, he said that if it is available, I can get the file from another computer that is the same as mine. So, I borrowed laptop from my brother, running Windows 7 64-bit, publish the file on his computer, put it on a flash drive, plug it into my computer, move my old notepad.exe.mui on the desktop (Yes, I still have the original) and replace it with my brothers.

    Now for the part I did not yet understand. Replacing the file met with some success. After the first restart, my computer blue armored, but after the second reboot, it was in normal operation once again! Pre - GPUS normal update driver, that is. But nevertheless reliable running. Careful, I decided to run my anti-virus, Avast! and see if something happens. Of course, on a quick scan, he found a "malicious" file and I "moved it to the chest. To be doubly sure that all is well, I decide to run a scan at startup and have it automatically move all the malicious files, he finds 'trunk' or whatever he calls. I allow this to run at night and wake up to find that my computer still works reliably.

    Well, not wanting to take another chance, I run "sfc/scannow" once, just to see the error is still there. Nothing has changed. Sad it's not yet over, I again to replace the "notepad.exe.mui" in my computer this time that I deleted it, with one always on the flash drive. No blue screen on reboot, but I decide to again run the command "sfc/scannow". Once again, same error.

    At this point, I have no freaking idea what to do. My last two options are to use my disc and 'repair installation' and see if it makes something or just completely re - install Windows, which without a doubt, I don't want to do. Now, I can still play my old games very well. It's just I can't update Windows or drivers, fear, it may have a very dangerous effect.

    Anyone with any information which could be of use, please do not be afraid to say something. I come to this community as my last resort. Any information will be helpful, and I will watch this post like a bird of prey. Thank you for reading all of this. I'm sure it was quite the trip.

  • I've upgraded to Vista XP, the system crashed and now it says to install the disc so that it can be fixed. He doesn't like XP or Vista disc. How to get a copy of the Vista disk (and not an upgrade) my computer can run.

    my vista system crashed and now it asks me for my vista drive.  He doesn't like my drive to upgrade to vista, says that my XP system drive does not work either.  where I kenza a copy of vista disc that works?

    To reinstall Vista:

    You can not legally do a clean install of Vista with a Vista Upgrade disk/license.

    Reinstall XP > then go to Vista.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Here's a startup repair disk, you can do:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html
    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
    ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
    See you soon.
  • Windows 7 Pro 64 disabled after the system crash
    Hello. My active 64-bit Windows 7 system crashed this morning with the Blue Screen of Death. Restart is not possible - message "Bootmgr is missing" came. I used the repair disk, I did when I got to the computer to fix the boot sector and was able to start normally. But now Windows 7 is described as not authentic; previously, there has been properly activated. I tried to activate the system again, but received error messages, including 0xC004C003 which apparently means that the serial number is already in use. It's - it's mine!
    Some googling led me to try a system restore.  I tried a restore point of more recent, just system restore before updating to the latest version of Windows. It gave me the error message that the system restore did not finish and system files have been updated - 0xc0000022.
    In addition to searching led me to try from the command prompt (in as an administrator) "sfc/scannow". Who successfully completed reports that no violations not found and no file system not necessary change.
    Can anyone suggest how now can I reactivate my copy of Windows 7 Pro?  Apparently I left three days in which to do!
    Give a try:
    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/2230957
    If this does not work, try the following:
    How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)
    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4
    (2) press the ENTER"" key.
    (3) select your "country" in the list.
    (4) choose the option "activate phone".
    (5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.
    (6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.
  • Satellite L655 - upgrade RAM causes the system crash
    I bought and inserted 2 RAM Kingston 4 GB chips. When I boot the Windows and Ubuntu 14.04 (I have a dual boot) fails.
    If I run a test memory Ubuntu start menu, the system hangs.
    I put the old RAM and all is well.
    To resolve this problem, I tried upgrading the BIOS firmware using the software available on the Toshiba site, but it gives me an error saying that the battery must be fully charged and the power adapter is connected. A fully charged battery with the charger plugged still gives the same error. I replaced the battery, which was old and lasted 5 minutes, but the error remains on the upgrade of the bios.
    Any ideas what could be causing this would be appreciated.
    Can I get hold of a BIOS upgrade CD ISO which does not check the status of the battery and the charger? I promise you I will not let the of of the machine while upgrading the bios is going forward!
    Thanks in advance.
    Hello
    At first, I must say that updating the BIOS won't help you any. Many people think that the update of the BIOS is a kind of "quick fix" for different questions.
    In my opinion there must be a compatibility problem. Did you buy the memory right modules approved for your system?
    I don't know what 665 do you have exactly, but I think that you need the modules of DDR3 - 1066 MHz and 4 GB of RAM has part number PA3677U-1M4G.
  • How to know which update causes the system crash
    Can you tell us how to check the update is the culprit?
    Hi Steve,.
    Inorder to know which update is the cause of the crash of the system, you can install the updates one by one. Firstly uninstall the updates that have been recently installed.
    Uninstall the update:
    1. click on start and type "update installed" in the searc box. Click on view installed updates
    2. right click on the update you want to uninstall. Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer.
    3. install the updates one by one.
    You would get to know what update is at the origin of the disorder. You can hide this particular update.
  • Tecra T9000 system crashes often
    Hello
    My system hangs very often. When I use a scan for example engine: Mc McAfee, Norton, Hitman Pro or when I use my laptop for a long time. Especially when I put the dynamic CPU or high mode.
    I've updated the bios for this reason of 1.5, but that did not help. Also, I cleaned the fan area because I thought he should be the temperature. The fan is operating normally and when I use the best performancesetting it runs fast. When I set the speed of the CPU (in bios) at the lowest I have no problem. What can I to use the high performance and the system will continue to operate?
    Thanks already
    Mart Raaijmakers
    Hello
    It's not easy to say why this problem occurs. It seems that the computer laptop frizzes because the CPU temperature is high. Have you installed the energy saver?
    I would recommend setting the CPU in the BIOS for the dynamics and check the settings for the use of power. For example, to set the method of cooling for maximum performance.
    Hope this will help.
    Good bye
  • Satellite L300 - system crashes often
    Hello!
    Recently purchased Toshiba Satellite L300-01:00 (PSLBGE), now face the system blocks the problem.
    Laptop came without an operating system. The first thing I installed Windows XP, update BIOS version of the v1.3 to v1.6 then have to reinstall XP. After that, I installed the latest drivers from Intel and Toshiba support pages for this model, and automatic updates from Microsoft, including Service Pack 3.
    (Video chipset and Intel matrix storage drivers come from the support of Intel.) Others are from Toshiba).
    Everything seems to work without any unknown device or recognized error, but very often the programmes get stuck or any gel system. Especially when you try to read something great to drive, or how to consume more demanding the task.
    I'd appreciate any experience or suggestion.
    (With apologies for the bad English hope, that we can understand!)
    If Memtest86 goes down, I think that the RAM is faulty. You can try a different RAM in this notebook?
    Normally if Memtest86 breaks down, and the computer restarts, the module is defective and must be replaced.
    The Drive Fitness Test works on all the HARD s drive. This is not manufacturing.
    Try Linux and give us feedback. If Linux works, there is a software problem and if not you should swap the RAM.
