  Hello people,

  I would like your help on a problem which I am facing right now.

  I have a Blackberry world app that stores user as themes preferences, language, etc. pertaining to the user on the application on their Blackberry.

  Recently, I updated my app and changed one of the java files and added new Java file and genrated COD

  I'm tryingt to OTA update on the existing app then unzipped the gall of COD big and generated to other small COD, also updated the file JAD in the version #.

  But now I keep on running in the following scenario, when I try to install a newer version of my application through on the existing app OTA process, it removes the user preferences can acts like a new installation again, instead of just updating the application.

  PS: - The name of the app, the seller, the rest of description that even in version only Midlet JAD was changed.

• creating a file of user preferences

  Hi, all.

  I just got a request to record a few parameters of the program and read these settings at startup. Looks like I need to create a preferences file. (If there is a better way, please advise.)

  I don't know anything about this. All the words of wisdom? My first thought would be XML, but it seems that I'l have to install device drivers to use it.

  3. preferences generally invisible removal or somehow made not modifiable by the user?

  My company is abandonment of Toad (with the exception of some power users and admins).  Most of us will only now Developer SQL.  So far, I'm impressed from the previous version, version 4.0, and I guess I'm to the point where I want to configure the tool as much as I can to my preferences.  So I ask if there is any documentation on configuration settings with an explanation of what they are for and how to implement?

  For example, filtering.  Our database has MANY objects and I would like to filter them by default when I open the program.  At present, it seems that I can filter only on one setting where Toad had a multitude of settings that you have just clicked on a checkbox to include.  There are other filters as well, some drop down lists or text boxes where you can enter your own values.  Toad made a long list of customizable preferences.  I hope that developer SQL will reach a similar point as well if there is not already a place.

  If it is not documentation on preferences, are there any good resources or forums where this information is shared?

  Hi, I have a portlet that requires the definition of the value preference of the user and you open a community page in a new window. This community page has a portlet that uses the preference of the user defined in the first portlet. The url of the page of community is in a link tag pt.standard.opener. The original page that hosts the portlet that set the preference of the user will be as it is. I'm not able to open a new window after clicking on the button I have to set response.returnoportal (). is it possible to set preferences from the user through javascript or open a page afrer community by clicking on submit button to set the preferences of the user.   Yes, you can set prefernecs session as below using the portal JS use the UUID of the portlet to create the portlet object

  on the recipient portlet on the other page, do something like this:

  PortletContext IPortletContext = PortletContextFactory.createPortletContext (request, response);
  IPortletRequest portletRequest = portletContext.getRequest ();

  tagkeywords = portletRequest.getSettingValue (SettingType.Session, "tagkeywords");

  I added the network.security.ports.banned.override, but now want to remove this preference. Is there a way to delete this string?

  Right-click on it and click Reset, when you then start Firefox it will be deleted.

  I'm working on a 12.1.1 System. My users have begun to complain that they were not receiving email. Workflow Mailer looked normal in all aspects, and I sent a test message, which received normally. I started to look for answers and cam across the following note.

  And this query showed me that all my reviews had been changed from "HTMLMAIL" to the "QUERY" in the last two weeks (a clone made several weeks ago does not match). This brings me to 2 questions.

  (2) how would such a change in coverage could occur? Is it possible to say how it happened?

  There are a few problems reported on Metalink (see Note: 557294.1) that could be relevant, but I couldn't find anything related to the output that you are running. So, you can connect an SR and see if there are any reported bugs/problems.

  You can use these functions in mozilla.cfg:

  We have developed an app for iOS to employees of companies to use, and I had to hit a couple of different style sheets, so they can see what is easier to use/read (bottom dark clear text or background clear dark text, for example). Is it possible to allow the stylesheet to change by the user during execution, for example through user preferences?

  Pseudo coding here and there may not be the best solution, but it should work.

  You can simply add a style class to a top-level element of your page that gets a value preference that is "dark" or "light".

  Then in your skin have styles like this pseudo-device CSS

       background-color: black;
       color: white;
  }
  
  .light .amx-outputText {
       background-color: white;
       color: black;
  }
  

  This is probably one of the easiest ways to solve.

  Another option, which can be considered a bit safer and has the advantage of not requiring a reboot of the schedule service, is to use life-cycle management (LCM) to export the user's preferences (Configuration > user preferences) of the application to the file system, change the XML file as long as necessary and then set again LCM to re-import the file changed in the application.

  I'll add a word of caution that I have not used this approach myself for this specific scenario, but it should work in theory!
