At present the access point are just plugged access ports in vlan 10 and configured with vlan 10 SSID on the access point for wireless users users access the network very well without any problems. I have setup a CNA in L2 inband virtual mode it works fine when I tested for WIRED users.

As I m using only 1 vlan so I don't have to create a trunk switch port where the access point is connected? Anything else I should do? Correct me if I m wrong

Answers?

Hi Michael,

These conclusions should be correct.

Just to be 100% sure, we are in phase on your first conclusion.
The switchport where the access point is connected must be configured as an access port on vlan 20, in the case where the AP and wireless clients are connected on vlan 20.
However, be very careful that in such a situation, your AP traffic can also affect the CASE (being on the same vlan unreliable with regard to regular customers).

Then you can consider keeping your AP on a BVI interface vlan separate in what concerns the vlan of the customer, otherwise you can end up breaking the AP traffic, because it is placed on the same vlan not reliable as your wireless clients. An alternative could be to add a filter for the AP in cam, but it is perhaps not as scalable that separate the traffic of the client subnet IVB of the AP wireless.

Kind regards

How can I move the Virtual Mode of Windows XP hard drive to another drive?

    TIA

    Hi Benyl,

The vhd in programfiles basis cannot be moved or renamed, if done, xp mode stops at the start.

To move the files under c, first to boot xp, instead of save mode the machine virtual., turn it off. (settings to prompt the user for action narrow close). Close the machine virtual., and then choose stop. This will remove the vsv file. Do not delete the .vsv file because it contains data if you have not registered in the virtual machine.

Now, move it "C:\Users\CHRIS.domainname\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows virtual PC\Virtual Machines\Windows XP Mode.vhd" to a desired location.

Parameters of xp mode open, go to the hard drive 1 setting and reposition the hard drive to the new location of the vhd. You should now be able to start the virtual machine.

  • Questions of snapshot after lack of space on Virtual Mode RDM

We have a windows file server that ran out of disk space for its virtual RDM mode.  The server has several outstanding shots (VCB-created).  The LUN has been expanded and serve hung and restarted.  Restarts, none of the snapshots are loaded--just the VMDK origin.  None of the snapshots are displayed in the Snapshot Manager.

If the sanpshots can be removed (commit all) or is it likely to corruption in the last Flash disk?  Wouldn't be better to remove the last snapshot and delete everything.  All the world is this themselves before?

Thanks in advance for any idea that you can share.

    Hello

I was wondering if you mind answering some questions before tackle us this?

    When you say

Server that ran out of disk space, because it is the virtual mode of RDM

do you mean the data store that hosts the virtual RDM or the actual volume of RDM file?

Can you also check your VI client and see what VMDK virtual machine thinks it is running off? i.e. servername.vmdk or servername - 000001.vmdk

    Thank you and best regards,

  • device mapping raw lun change possible virtual mode?

Hello, I have a small question...

is it possible to change the raw lun mapping in physical mode in virtual mode without losing any files?

could you show me the right way...

    This way is possible?

    1. stop virtual machine

    2. change the settings

    3. open the raw device

    4 settings

    5. change in virtual.

    Thank you very much

Well, we are the problem with a virtual machine, that removed storage administrator the RDM physical mode for other purpose of maintenance, but after adding the RDM, its not are no longer available for the physical mode but only use virtual mode right now.  Yes, from the physical to the virtual mode does not remove your data is safe, and I still can't change back to physics for certain reasons.

  • Physical vs Virtual Mode of comp.

I'm about to import a large LUN in vmware since our NFS. Its basically a LUN attached to a box with about 500 concerts win2k3 std. Really, I have not the luxury of import of all 500 GB of files in the environment that our SAN storage is valuable for vmware.  I thought initially on the importation of the RDM in physical compatibility however mode, it seems that if I want to use VCB to backup file under this logic unit number, I have to import it as virtual. Since it is a file server I don't think that the drop in performance of it is don't not in physical mode will significantly impact performance.

Someone at - it an entry about it?

So, there is no Virtual compatibility warnings? The main reason I'm checking is because as the default UI for physical compatibility. Sidenote: I guess I could always change modes too if I needed.

Well, that's the real instant deal.  If you can take a snapshot of the virtual disk, then VCB should also be able to work.  What is happening is really it snapshots the virtual machine and allows the vmdk origin can be fully copied elsewhere.  In physical mode, this is not possible, that is why virtual mode must be used.  But no warnings.

AS FAR AS I KNOW.  MSCS for instance, to physical compatibility mode, and a few RDM VM require SAN level commands to talk to the SAN, so they must use physical mode, because the Virtual Mode will not allow physical access low level, so it's just a matter of allowing some equipment commands.

  • Standard user can connect to the new network wireless only in local mode - no Internet pass through by the router.

My wife now takes a laptop (HP Pavilion) with her on a business trip.  The computer that runs Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit SP2 with all updates.  I have his set as a standard user account, just to keep him out of trouble.  However, with his own account, it can connect to a new wireless network, like a hotel or business she visits could offer.  But, invariably, she gets access 'local only' - no pass Internet through connectivity.  I had to give him the information of my account as an administrator, and then she is able to connect without difficulty.

Of course, this isn't an ideal situation - standard user must be able to connect to the Internet through a new wireless network.  Otherwise, I should be able to change his account in such a way that it can be given to this authority without necessarily opening the entire system and its related vulnerabilities.

It may be necessary to show both hidden and system files and also uncheck 'Hide known file types' in Control Panel / folder Options / view to navigate to the mentioned location of Temp.

  • Server connection Reboot logs out users using virtual machines

I'm having a problem with one of my servers in two connection that my VM to connect.  Whenever restart us the server, it disconnects all VM that is assigned to this CS, this becomes a question during our weekend update as restart us our servers and whenever our connection to the server restarts it disconnects our surveillance systems.

Any help, I would be grateful.

That would happen if you have direct mode and users are tunneling through this particular connection broker.    If you use no direct mode then the user would only get it is detached from the VM by the broker for the connections and then directly to the virtual machine.

  • Only 3 7 table no 'users' or 'Kids mode' option.

I just bought two Lenovo tab 3 7 "for my children.

First thing I tried to do was setup in children mode on them.

But could not find the mode button of the child where he was supposed to be, or the option "users" under settings were there.

After a while, I thought I might have to upgrade to the latest version so that it can work.

But after the update I can not access the tab.

The boot animation runs as it should, but after that the screen is just blank.

What should I do to make this work and reach kids mode?

This video shows the 3 7 tab, which is running 6 Android.

I suppose that you bought the 3 7 Essentialstab, which is cheaper and fewer features. It runs 5 Android and do not have kids mode!

There are so many models (for example "F" WiFi only against WiFi + LTE ' L' versions) it can be quite confusing...

  • Can only connect to the account of user in safe mode, what do I do?

There are two accounts on my profile. I can connect fine, but the other (the most important) will not let me connect unless the computer is in safe mode. If I try to log in it says: "Please wait", before you redirect me to the previous login screen. I tried to copy all my info on a new account, but the music folder will not copy without permissions, and I found that a lot of my installed programs also are not copy correctly. What are my options? Everything can I? All this seems to occur after you install an update to Windows Vista. I'm running Vista 64, btw.

    Suggestion:
You said... but on the other (the most important) will not let me connect unless the computer is in safe mode.

So go in safe mode > login to this account admin (the most important) > and do a system > choose a date where you did NOT have this problem as your restore point.

Start button > Search box, type system restore > press the Enter key > uac prompt > click on choose a different restore point > next > select dates as your restore point, click
    > Next > finish
To sit and wait. The machine restarts when it's done.

If the system restore is not enough, you need to create another account administrator in safe mode.
Treat the former admin count as damaged account.
Here's how to deal with a corrupted user profile (account):
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-CA/Windows-Vista/fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

Note: You must have at least three user accounts on the computer to perform these operations, including the new account that you created.

  • 32 bit and XP printer impact using virtual mode

This virtual XP mode is a W - 7 Ultimate 64 bit and works well with a couple of 32-bit devices, one of them a scanner photos or slides to digital conversion, and other 32-bit programs.

My system is a Lenovo laptop TP61p with a mini dock where I have access to a parallel port.

If I boot from a HARD drive with pure W - XP pro SP3 I am able to print on the Epson LQ-1050 + quite well impact printer. Even from Vista SP2 from B. It is also prove that the printer cables are OK

But I would like to avoid disk swapping and do the same thing through the XP - Windows 7 SP1 virtual Pro Mode. The program installed the printer OK and I can hear it during initialization when the system is turned on, but I can not even a test print. LTP-1 is correctly set up.

Y at - it a hack or a policy that could solve the problem? How can I make this work?
