  Can someone tell me if there is a limit on the number of devices that can be analyzed in Essentials when it is configured to use SQL Express as the back-end database?

  OpenManage Essentials with a SQL Express database can support up to 500 devices, as seen on page 19 of the manual found here. It also shows the other configuration requirements as well.

  I have installed OpenManage Essentials of this year beginning. He worked a much brought us good value.

  Now about three weeks ago the tab "devices"in the web application under the menu "Manage" suddenly disappeared.

  I can still search for devices (However by clicking on in the bar nothing research happens), notifications of changes in System State work fine as well. Basically, everything works as it should, just this single menu item is missing which I think he has some importance within the application.

  I tried to repair the installation that has not helped.

  I'm running OME on version 2.0.1.2222 on a virtual Windows Server 2008 R2, fully patched, as well as SQL server 2008 R2 on a separate instance of W2k8R2.

  Can I do something to fix this problem without having to re - install OME? (and reconfiguration should the problem be the associated database)

  Yes, it seems that some the key of OME plugin cannot be loaded.  That is why the tab is missing, etc.

  It is is like a database corruption problem.

  Best to open a support ticket at 800-945-3355.  If they can get a copy of the database, it might be useful for the team to consider in order to help understand what could have gone wrong.

  But a new inst will probably be in the cards.

I see the system events > alert2SecurityInformation; who will provide this information, and could it be filtered to include only events of creating user?

  Unfortunately, it would be able to report on these fields, as they are software services. OpenManage Essentials is a management application hardware that provides an overview of the systems, devices and components in a Dell corporate network. Which based its alerts off material.

  After completing the updates of systems on the server PowerEdge 610, I went back to OpenManage Essentials to refresh the inventory.  Then, I went to the update systems, and click on the check box of the PE610 that I've just updated and I got this pop up window error:

  This device does not have the minimum supported version of update iDrac.  Upgrade to a newer version of the iDrac.

  I went to Dell.com Support section and not sure what to install.  Could someone please indicate the installation file?  This will force me to reboot the server?

  I plan to update firmware on my two Dell servers.

  Now my lack of Manager as an official document or the site who said that the updated firmware will be supported by the ESXi software.

  It's after the upgrade of the card of network/BIOS firmware etc, this will be supported by the ESXI version.

  Check the supported firmware versions listed for each system after selecting ESXi 6.0 (assuming you're going to the latest version)... This is as close as "documented" you will find.

  Firmware updates do not change the compatibility.

  If you're worried, see the release notes for red flags.

  I think that I made a mistake in choosing to go down this path, see the details of the deployment:

  the installation of the failover network limited bandwidth to a single link (failover) instead of 2 Gbps, which can improve performance.  as the solution of trunking VLAN, however out of despair and the stress very load high,.

  I was thinking of redesigning the network all over again from scratch, using the trunking VLAN directly from Server ESXi in SAN to use 2 x 1 GB Ethernet

  cable to enhance the delivery of data to the VM without the use of any

  switch between SAN and servers.

  What is a possible solution using 2 x ESXi and iSCSI MD3000i SAN?

  Since the SAN has only had 2 NIC by controller,
  + so I guess I can provide only 2 Gbps maximum for the ESXi server +.
  + each using trunking VLAN and leave the rest unused switch ports used by the other server. +

  MD3000i does not aggregate links (like Equallogic, for example), but works with MPIO.

  MPIO ESX is NOT able to aggregate links, but he is able to use the different path for different LUN.

  So the solution is simple build at least 2 LUNS, and working with different path (the path is normally automatically selected by ESX)

  now, I'm trying to collect the inventory FW so I can test the upgrade of the drac fw.

  No matter what I do "error at least select a server.

  but the servers are not displayed... If I create a new group and add them to the group,

  Looks like you are using out of band (iDRAC/WSMan).

  In this case, I think you're all ready to go.  You discovered via WSMan, now just go on manage | Updates system and you should be able to see your report compliance and update from there.  You have no need for this task, that you try to create.

  In the past I've always done the firmware first, but I know that others don't has first ESXi and also does not work on a question.

  I simply cannot wait too long between the two steps. Use a window of maintenance for both.

  I install my ESXi host curent with 2 Teddy to secure deployment of production like the screenshot attached VM:

  The reason is facilitate the backup over the network (Gigabit Ethernet connected to my LAN switch) while the actual virtual machine is connected to a network DMZ separate vSwitch and then the uplink is connected directly to the router for access to the world.

  I wonder if this is the classic secure deployment that everyone uses?

  I do this with my DMZ, specifically, my vSwitch network management is not shared with my Production VM in a form any way. Virtual machines

  are really "not reliable". DMZ VMs are majorly "unreliable."

  With only 2 natachasery your "configuration" is interesting but is not yet what I want to do what you are missing out on redundancy. Don't could you use VLANS to dismiss this configuration you have 1 port GigE and 1 10 MB half-duplex port. The speed later would also be a problem. Looks like it is directly connected to your ISP connection. If so, I suggest alternatives. What I use is:

• Impossible to use variables shared when deploying an exe file

  I tried to use variables shared for some time. I have been all over the forums and still have had no luck. I can get these VI to work until I have install on another PC while they do any work. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I forced libraries to deploy, but they still do not work on the machine, that I install the exe file. I don't think that libraries are being installed. I can't see in the Distributed System Manager. I can see libraries on other machines, but not on the one that I have.

  Have you included libraries in section always included the source files.  You did, and then change the destination of the library of media files on the Source code file settings tab?

  In the code are you using the correct path when calling the libraries deployment method.   Current path of the VI should be stripped twice and have "data\name.lvlib" built in the end.

  App for Blackberry. In Nokia its pretty simple use MIDlet getAppProperty() you need a jad and jar for

  deploy it.

  so I have no idea why myMidlet is important. I wouldn't see green.jad somewhere?

  Anyway, I would appreciate any code that does this correctly.
