  Aloha! I am confused with this and need your help.

  Here's what I want to do: create a transparent white border around my photo on a white background (blog post box is white). I use Photoshop CS5.

  I tried saving the file as PNG, GIF, and JPG, but all appear as gray in the region I want as white.

  Picture below, it's as well as my image appears on a white background. The area around the photo and behind the word "example" is the grey area which is white #ffffff on PS but otherwise appears when you post online (my blog on Blogger).

  The top image is a PNG file, the background is a GIF image. The GIF is a little better but still gray. I would like to the surroundings to be white pure, so just, it blends into the white background (post region).

  

  This is the image I see on PS, it is white in the areas around the center of the photo, that's how I intend to the final image to look like:

  

  I even chose my background (while creating a new document) in white for the background color. I even tried a transparent background, but everything what was making worse it and turn the background transparent to black when I post the image online.

  

  Here is a screenshot of my layers (not sure if this info is necessary, but I need help).

  Problem solved. I also posted in the forum of my blog and discovered that there is a problem. The blog platform I was using 'Blogger' recently introduced changes to the system and part of the change "auto-renforcee" photos, that's why my photos came with this shade of gray. I had to go into my settings and delete the auto-Enhancer. Oh my god!

  Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew how I could save a file in photoshop CS5 in JPG or JPEG, im new in this photoshop thing and I need help with this please, is it not taken in charge or is - what im simply not seen?

  If you see only a few types of available as TIF files when you save then it is likely that your image is 16-bit.  JPG and many other formats are compatible only with 8-bit images, so you must convert your image into 8-bit, using Image / Mode / 8 bits.

  Being new to using Photoshop CS5 is possible to catalog or create an index of all my images in PS CS5?  For now, I'm backing up my files to cd image is to store off-site, but with many CDs, I don't remember what's on each CD, unless I manual creates a list/index or the spreadsheet.  Someone mentions that PS CS5 is doing this, but I haven't seen any menu that looks like this function.  Is it possible in PS CS5 or do I need to purchase another program to do this?

  No need to uninstall CS 5 old machine. it is very very important to turn off activation in the menu helps to record the number of activations.

  All individual applications can be activated on 2 machines. Regarding the number of activations for more details, you can check with the help of Adobe once and get confirmation.

  There is no option to change the scale of the old version of the Photoshop application.  Scaling of the interface users for Windows has been added in Photoshop CC 2014.

  Try changing the screen resolution.

  You can go to upgrade CS2 Premium Suite CS5 Premium Suite. Immediately CS5 actually qualifies as valid premium CS2. I don't think not just of CS2 Premium after all Photoshop CS5 is possible. But you can go to upgrade and CS5 Design Standard Suite CS5 Design Premium which has the version of Photoshop extended.

  It does not overwrite the Photoshop CS2 and two of them will keep in cohabitant which means a new copy of PS CS5 will be installed. You can use one of the PS at all times (but not at the same time), and you can remove PS CS2 at any time if you feel that it is no longer necessary.
