Using Sims 3

We just bought the sims 3. When we try to install it, we get an error message that the installation exe has stopped working, and the program will now close. Any idea on how to fix it?

Please use Windows Update to download all the updates that are available for your PC. Restart after this procedure. Try again to install TS3. If it still does not work, it means that there is a problem with Windows Installer, which is included in Windows. You can download the latest Windows Installer here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=5a58b56f-60b6-4412-95b9-54d056d6f9f4 there are a lot of languages, you can choose, depending on the language of your operating system. After installing install 4.5, try again and answer here! :)

You must use a sims card to set up your phone and continue to make calls. If you just want to use the Wi - Fi you can exit the sims, but you will need initially. Contact your operator for more details.

  • Unlocked Firefox OS smartphones can be used on Verizon Wireless?

Hello. I heard THAT ZTE sells its newest smartphone OS Firefox eBay unlocked for $99. I was wondering if this smartphone can be used on Verizon Wireless in the United States. I noticed in the ad for the smartphone ZTE she currently supports 3 G speeds only and does not support 4 G LTE eBay. Verizon Wireless is a CDMA carrier for 3 g (instead of GSM), so I think the ZTE Firefox OS smartphone, and probably all other Firefox OS smartphones currently available, are not compatible with Verizon Wireless, even if they are unlocked. Any clarification on my question would be appreciated.

    Hello

    Sorry for the wait.

No, Firefox OS devices are currently feel CDMA GSM carriers such as Sprint and Verizon will not work for two reasons:

    • Different bands
    • GSM uses SIM cards, CDMA uses some form of SIM like Verizon with LTE phones.

If unlock you, there is a chance very light , that you can get is in Cricket, Straight Talk, MetroPCS, or something similar, but right now (to my knowledge), Firefox OS devices are strictly CDMA.

Sorry ' end that. Hope that this things clarification for you.

  • Portege R500 could not establish a connection using Novatel Mobilink

I am unable to make a connection using the software of Novatel Mobilink on my new R500.

I installed * XP * and installed the relevant downloads on the Toshiba site, i.e.
    Power RF 3 G v 1.0.1.8 control utility
    MobiLink 2.0.2.1.8 v
    Wireless Broadband Mobile v 3.0.0.3

My SIM is detected OK. I created my profile and checked that my APN, username and password are correct. When I try to connect I get the Mobilink network connection manager * error 619 * saying that perhaps my profile settings are not correct.

However, if I create a connection by modem with exactly the same settings that the connection works fine.
The only difference is that I use windows dial up to start the connection rather than Mobilink.

Put Vista on the laptop the Mobilink connection works fine as well, it seems that if you want to do with XP, so I think that there could be another driver or patch required.

Anyone had similar problems using Mobilink to initiate the connection?

    Any ideas would be welcome?

    Hello

I m not an expert in Mobilink network connection, but I goggled a bit and discovered that if this error 619 message you should do this:

S ' ensure that the data card is inserted into the laptop.
-Go to compose (i.e. start-> Control Panel-> network connections) network connections and delete the profile called 3 G connection.
-Try and launch a data call via Mobilink software. It should work now and the 3G connection profile visible once more.

The following are the possible causes of an error 619 _Other: _
-Name (APN) access point is not correct (i.e. incorrect characters for example)
    - or not entered at all.
    -Wrong username and/or password used.
-The used SIM card is not associated with the required AFN

    Good luck

    CDMA phones use SIM cards

They work on CDMA networks without them. Some global phones have them, but they have to say overall and have a slot for SIM card - this phone does not work. If so, it would be near the battery.

Some new LTE phones have SIM cards.

  • Moto G4 more 2 SIM not connecing 4 g

    Hello

I bought a motorcycle G4 mobile more recently. I see that 4G works fine when I have the SIM card in the # 1 Slot. But when I have the same SIM card in slot # 2 sound using only 3G. My understanding is I should be able to select #1 or #2 of SIM 4 g SIM and the other will have to use the 3 G. But it seems that 4G only works when you are using SIM #1 and not SIM #2. Any help on this to activate 4G on # 2 SIM slot?

    Thank you

    Mani

This is resolved and not a problem with mobile phone. The problem was the plan of data shared between the SIMs 2. The SIM that shared data based on the other only works in 3 G depending on the service provider. It's capture in their data-sharing service provided.

So while you insert a SIM card that has its own data plan, it connected to 4G in the SIM # 2 slot also.

  • Why should client re-register when sim card is changed?

Maybe this is a stupid question. I'm just curious to know who.

I checked the push client sample app to push SDK. It seems that the registry procedure, the cient enough to send the identification number to the server. so has nothing to do with the sim card. My question is why have to re-register when changed the SIM card?

y at - it report any with * beep * between Sim and PIN?

    Thank you!!

    PIN

    Personal identification number

A PIN code is a unique number that identifies a BlackBerry smart phone for GSM and GPRS networks. It is printed on the label on the back of the device under the battery.

    SIM

    Subscriber identity module

A SIM card is a smart card that identifies the Subscriber, service provider and mobile phone number. It is inserted in the device.

Not all wireless networks use SIM cards (for example, CDMA does not work).

In general, Désenregistrez is important if the user of this device does not want to receive push messages. For example, if they delete the application without successfully a unregister then push future messages will be sent to the device but just never displayed because there is no application listening for the push - this can incur unintended data charges. So it is always a good practice to ensure a user is unregistered successfully.

Specifically in the context of the swap SIM on a device, let's say you have username = Foo on device PIN = 12345678 registry successfully both Push BlackBerry Service and the content provider. Now the user Foo gives the device a friend with username = Bar. Bar put in SIM card and start the unit. The application should make sure that this username = Foo is first of Nations United-registerd with the content provider. And then username = Bar should register with the content provider. From the point of view Service Push BlackBerry cancel registration is not vital because Service Push BlackBerry knows only that the PIN = 12345678 is subscribed, they do not know Foo or Bar.

  • Q10 Q10 SIM BlackBerry stops after 1 h and only allows 911. But everything else works.

Heres my current SIM card question. My 3 yr old Q10 broken on me, he stuck in restart mode & guard just trying to restart then shuts off & trys again and again. So, I bought a replacement that has been varified locked on the sprint network. After updating, tranfering etc & insert my SIM active phone worked fine, after 5-10 min it rejects the SIM card & displays only 911 calls can be made. All work work within the phone at this moment here, receive calls, sms, internet, bbm surveys, but unable to make calls. I restart the phone & again it works very well, and then the same thing happens. New replacement SIM problem had delivered directly from sprint, still exist. Returned the phone & bought a replacement again, this time same problem accept last 1 hour then the same fact. Is it a matter of internal adjustment that ignores even the Sprint tech dept. Please someone help this Q10 lover back to blackberry'ing...

Sprint does not use sim cards only. You must configure your device to work with your account on Sprint. I think you can do so via your online account by following the instructions below. If this does not work, contact them and they should be able to help.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones active new SIM - now phone SOS only

Hi all. Have a little problem. I had to go back to an old 9700 When my current iPhone broke. I needed a new card SIM from the iPhone using a different card. When I called Rogers to activate the SIM everything was fine for about a minute. I received texts that were pending since Sunday when my iPhone broke. I had full bars etc. Once a minute, he went to SOS only. While I was on the phone with Rogers Tech Support I have reset and removed the battery and SIM and all the things they wanted me to. Everything looks good on their system, he said that the problem must be with the device.

    A bit on the device:

Originally with Mobilicity in 2009. Opened and used with the wind. My father then used with Rogers and Fido. Since Sunday, when my phone broke, I used SIM card of my brother-in-law (he just swung at Rogers to the wind, but his plan has always been paid until the end of September) and the BB worked very well. If it worked correctly with a Rogers SIM.

Now, I get the same problem with my brother-brother SIM. SOS only. No connection. What happened when active Rogers SIM card must have done something to the camera itself because now it does not connect to any of them. That both SIMs work as I have tested both in my wife's phone.

The guy on the Support of Rogers suggested that perhaps the closed phone itself - but when I enter the settings advanced for the SIM card that everything is disabled in customization... so it appears not to be locked.

He said that I should try to reinstall the OS, but that it will block the phone and I need to unlocked again.

Is there anything else it could be? Will reinstall the OS relock the phone? Any other suggestions?

    Thank you very much!

First this... avoid this tech Rogers like the plague. He has no idea what he's talking about. All what he told you is simply not possible. Once MEP unlocked, a BB device can blocked at the factory. Nothing of what you have done or the facilities of any OS can relock a BB.

I'd rather a complete security on the Device Wipe:

    • KB14058 How to delete all data and applications in the smartphone BlackBerry using the security option wipe

    Otherwise, a ResetToFactory WIPE:

    • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

After each one, put it in the SIM card and switch on the device, and then make sure that the voice is through Rogers. Only then start to worry about getting all the data to work (if you subscribe BIS, in other words).

If you want to get off the OS Reload path, then the easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do this on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below. (not applicable in your situation)

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You can also try the "skeleton OS Reload procedure" in an attempt to circumscribe the precise causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

You may also use these tips:

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  • BlackBerry 8830 World Edition Smartphones accepting not SIM

I had posted on February 28, 2009 on a trip outside the United States in Asia and the use of my 8830 here and was informed the phone is unlocked and would accept a SIM card. However, I tried to insert the SIM card in the slot that matches that I had (there are two slots Im assuming one if, for a multimedia card) and it doesn't seem to work. I used the SIM card in another phone (not Blackberry) and it seems to work so its must be the BlackBerry.

I have to do something before I insert the SIM card for it to work? Or y at - it another way to solve this problem?

    Thanks for your help.

    SAL

PS I'm in India so that relates to the answer or help.

Go to Options-> advanced-> SIM card Options.  Here to ensure what he says "SIM Card: security disabled.

If it is not the case, you should contact your provider and tell them you want to have security disabled for SIM card.  This will allow you to use SIM cards (for example those paid in advance) on your Berry.

P.S. I have a VZW/Vodafone SIM (it's free) from the service overall assistance and after that I got this SIM card installed on my phone, I had to call and have the security-disabled.

    Good luck
