Using your computer to video processing for the web

Hello

I've heard of some people, I really trust and respect that we should never use your video server for any other purposes other than the video work.   They say that if you are using other applications, including the use of the Internet, it is systematically to mess things up in the long run.

I want to do the right thing.  But I have to admit, it's SO convenient to be able to encounter a problem in PrPro and just go online here and ask.

What should I do more?  They respect the point of view of the dedicated video machine?

Thank you

Matt Dubuque

Matt,

Which can spoil things is the first of all the games and second Microsoft Office. Internet is not a problem. Many other programs cause any problems either.

I'll give you an example. On my video machine, I have several versions of the workshop of the Master Collection and Production. When I need to update the reference PPBM, I need to access my G-mail with bid forms. I need to download the submitted data and files with Filezilla, store on a server, as well as another system to import them in the Excel worksheet. Save the worksheet again on the server, then the video machine change the pages with a few VBS scripts, edit them in Dreamweaver and download them again on the Web site, including updated graphics to date with Filezilla. To view these pages, I use IE, Chrome and FF on my video machine and perform the optimizations with Firebug and PageSpeed.

In addition, I sometimes use TeamViewer to help others in my video machine for the simple reason that it has enough real estate screen with two monitors to easily see the computer on the other side. I've no problem with this kind of applications on the video machine.

So, don't worry about it.

Can someone tell me some instructions for the use of the first Pro CS5 news for entry on a green screen video and then export the video which can be superimposed on a web page is transparent?  You know, the ol' guy, walking through the front of the screen.

I was able to key using the ultra key (wow that was easy), but I don't know I have the settings of ultra key correct for transparent, even with the export of parameters (file type, settings)

    Thank you!

You should always test your key when you apply it.

for example, place a BG on a layer underneath like white, gray or even color bars. Even better, the BG that she will end up on.  Don't use black, but test on Balck at some point.

The BGs show different different problems which can produce keys.

You're almost certain to have to tweak it a little before export you it.

  • backup video files for the web?

I got about 20 discs hard stuff firewire.  Recently had a fire, here, with no drastic results, but it scares me.

Is there a safe way to save these readers to the ether?

I understand that different save sets break files into pieces.  I can't imagine how it works for files video and comps.

Anyone had any experience with this?

If it's really important, you might have more luck finding a local storage / archival or some members of the family to another House and store some backup disks with them. I don't think that the storage of online backups is a viable alternative for the amount of data we are talking about. It will cost you a lot of money, you don't get those gigabytes for free anywhere and the downloads are hairy. you are also still at risk of the supplier goes out of business or deleting your files for some reason any. Directly related to fire-related damage, you can also consider a steel tempered light Cabinet / Treasury Board. But as with all the other stuff, it should always weigh the cost against the risk of a fire happening or any other damage that occur... ultimately, it may not be worth and fees, if you cannot deduct as a business investment.

  • Best video for the Web?

I created a site offering artists around my city. The most important thing is the videos and that's what I have a problem with. Can you help me?

I started with the flv files swf turned and who was allowed. The problem was he wouldn't play on IPAD and other devices.

So, I read online that a mov or mp4 file was good. Today, I received so many responses from those who said that the video is so slow that they have not even watch.

I tried to increase my size to a size close to youtube, so it was more visible then my first posts.

    The site is

    www.adamsstreetsessions.com

    Thanks in advance

. FLV is currently the best format of video container for the Web...

As a rescue use swfobject for Flash detection and provide a .mov as ALT content file

    Link to swfobject:

    http://code.Google.com/p/SWFObject/

Sample .flv video that plays on the iPhone:

    http://www.cidigitalmedia.com/tutorials/Qt/play_qt.html

relief is .mov file. View the source code to see how it works.

A potential problem of slow download .mov files is if the moov atom is at the end of the file rather than the beginning... Hey, I don't do this kind of things, I just tell you about it. The download is not slow, it's just that the entire file has download before he plays. If the moov atom is at the end of the file, the full .mov file must be downloaded before the video starts to play. It will be not progressive download as an .flv file (another reason why .flv is the video container of choice).

You can restructure the .mov files are needed by using QuickTime Pro, and save as.

Google to know the exact details or check here:

If the video bitrate and/or the size is a problem, investigate it to an old post:

    Video bitrate

One of the principle of goal setting is to "begin with the end in mind". In this case, it will be very difficult to give good recommendations because the end is not defined. So I'll just make a few assumptions and you can correct me if necessary.
First, I'll assume that you convert Flash, whether you want to broadcast this video on the Internet. If that's true, then going to make some assumptions about your potential viewers Internet connection download speeds. Let's just say that most have at least a 1.5 MB connection or faster.
OK, that would mean that a video bitrate of half that generally provide a video download that is not interupped by the buffering (most of the time anyway). So assuming a video bitrate of 750 kbps, what would be the optimal display size?
Before decide us, here's a little info on the bitrate. To read more high quality, the bitrate of the video is directly related to the size of the screen. In other words, more display, incoming data more are needed to correctly display the video. Think of bitrate in terms of a can of paint. If you have 1 quart of paint, you might be able to do a very nice job on an area of 32 X 24 feet. But if you try to stretch the same amount of paint on a surface area of 64 X 48 feet, the coverage is not as good and you get mediocre results.
Similarly, a video display to 640 X 480 pixels will require 4 times the baud rate as a video displayed at 320 X 240 pixels to produce the same quality. Thus, for example, a video with a speed of 100 kbps, 160 X 120 displayed will produce the same quality results as a video with a bitrate of 1600 kb/s is displayed in 640 X 480.
So, to sum it all, 750 Kbps, even up to 1000 kbps video rates can usually get delivered high-speed Internet on most connections. Higher rates may work for connections very fast but will cause problems for viewers with slower connections. Video display size has a direct impact on the final quality. In the range of 750 to 1000 Kbps, display size should be maintained around 450 or 500 width max (and whatever the height proportions claims). Yes it can be displayed larger, but the quality will suffer.
Sounds like the audio settings are fine, especially for delivery on the Internet.
Regarding the framerate, maintain the framerate video original raw for best results. Therefore, if the clip was shot at 24 frames per second, let him.
In regards to video converters, you have the Flash 8 Video Converter? It works very well for the video to be delivered over the Internet. Don't forget, you're taking a Cadillac of video (h.264 HD) version and cram into a Chevy body so he can work on the Internet.

Original title: necessary emergency assistance, cannot log on to pc, password not recognized

Last week, I bought a brand new model of laptop Asus K55A.  All had been working fine without any problems, but when I tried to connect today (after previously working well earlier today a stop and then restart a few hours later) I could not signed.  The message I get is: "your computer is offline, please enter the last password used on this computer" OR "that password is incorrect.  Make sure that you use the password to your account Microsoft "and then gives the address to visit to reset the password as an option.

I am now on a different pc and (after literally hours of trial and error messages on the site of Microsoft live!) have managed to reset my password - obviously successful because I used it to connect to this form.  However, when I restart and try to connect to my own laptop, I just get the same thing.  It is not to recognize the new password!  As I am the ONLY user on my laptop has no way for me to go at all!  Help, please.  Without him recognize the new password, my new laptop is completely useless!

NB: I'm not too so there are a limited number of questions technical I can answer, however the above should give you the gist of the question, if all goes well computer savvy.  Windows 8 is the operating system in question, btw.

I went to the Business Center at the apt community I live in, pulled the decision-making network of one of their boxes and plugged my laptop, efficiently connect to their internet. I did not stop their computer, I just it out and put it in my laptop. Then I logged on my laptop with my hotmail account. It was all she wanted. I was in!
I disconnected and close my laptop. And reconnect their their pc network cable.
I pulled my laptop to make sure, it was fixed, and it is. Awsome. We had to plug into a network with a network cable, taking care of her.
You have no idea how long it took me to find this simple answer. Their positions are everywhere and people are being told to wipe their readers or buy a piece of a $30 software.

    hchentanshankar,

    Welcome to the community.

I am sorry to read that you are experiencing this issue.  The battery is likely guilty, but you should check to see if there are any problems with the laptop or AC adapter / CC before you rush out and replace the battery.

I would start by checking the bios, boot the system by pressing F2 to enter the bios, you can also press F12 and select the bios menu.  Once in the bios look for the option for AC adapter warnings, if they are disabled they can and save the changes. If there is a problem with the adapter, you should start getting errors on the adapter.

If the adapter seems well, disconnect the battery from the system and turn off the laptop.  Wait an hour or two and then replace the battery and restart the system and see if you continue to get the message.   If you can run the laptop on battery only to leave the battery completely and then load it again and see if the problem returns.

I know that this may not be possible before you buy a new battery but if possible try a power adapter and the battery and see if the problem persists.  In this way, you can know if the problem follows the laptop battery or the AC adapter.

Please let me know what you find.

    Hello

You only need to connect onve, and then you meet the demand.

I ran twice and I can't logically explain why it occurs.

On first installation I finally have the PC connected directly to the cable modem, after disabling the firewall software.

It took about 6 hours with Kapersky to ensure that he did not get infected. It was a friends DM 4.5

The second was total frustration with version 4.7. On my network.

I, like you, have the routers and firewalls in front of the cable router if I had a packet sniffer, it would have been easier to trace.

I reasoned that the PC and applications like explore and Outlook can access internet with out fail.

I then followed the gateway IP address for my PC.

In Windows click on start, then run, then type 'cmd' and press ENTER to open a DOS window.
-In this window type "ipconfig" and press ENTER.
-L' display the IP Ethernet the subpattern options, etc..  'Default gateway' is what you need.

-Copy the IP address of the default gateway.

Then, I started the Blackberry device manager and open the properties Blackberry icon in the systray.

I was trying to see if I could find what the Office Manager was trying to access, or at least which way he wanted to.

I found the Blackberry router configuration tab. Click at the bottom right "activate the bindings defined by the user.

So basically, you can provide a route to bypass "static route. I entered my gateway address default PC, hit apply and OK.

I did a cold start system, began the DM and he never moans, simply press on the internet and I couldn't access to the

synchronization options. It worked without changing the settings of firewall or a router. I deliberately left it in place that that

Gateway IP worked for another program on my PC. (I have mu PC configuration to device on the home network.

After constant running for a few weeks, I went and deleted the bypass address. 4.7 installation has yet to miss a

    Beat.

Well, I broke probably 87 regulations of the FCC, all agreements of the RIM, but it worked for me. !

If I'm not here tomorrow have a drin for me at the party!

I just installed the 5.0 Desktop Manager and never had the problem.

    So, basically, it's your call!

The worst that can happen is it doesn't work and close down more away, the best that happens is that you logged.

I recommend you do a program of "sniffer". This is the one suggested by Blackberry in the KB article

(Packet capture tool (for example, Wireshark®))

Let us know what you think.
    Thank you

I'm a web editor and often need to resize, compress, or crop several photos and would like a quick way to configure the basic parameters and processes for example 20 pictures at once. Basically, I'm looking for something with the ability to FastStone Photo Resizer (I'm on a Mac and cannot use FastStone). I remember an once suggested graphic designer LightRoom - would that be a good idea or Adobe has something else? Or maybe not Adobe at all?

PhotoShop seems heavy for this purpose: it is ideal to make the photo woth that much at the time, but less large to do less with many pictures at once. I know that I can implement some sort of macro-thingie, but I would like to be able to quickly change settings such as the percentage of compression or the width in pixels.

I don't need a lot of editing tools, mostly just work in pixels, resizing, compression or cropping and save for the web in .jpg and .png - and Mac.

I hope someone here can guide me in the right direction.
