USN journal on the D drive can't start my computer...

So my question in detail, is that after last nights update auto restart, my computer does not start upward with attached D drive. He forced the system to check the disk, gives me a list of success just is there and does nothing... I will attempt to try again after the updates I just got... If you know what is the problem and solution, please tell me as soon as possible. I have months of work on this drive that I need to access immediately. I guess it's time for external backup.

Hi Willshire,

Welcome to the Microsoft answers community site.

You can try to perform a system restore to solve this problem; Follow the instructions below:

1) click Start, type System Restore in the Search box, and then click System Restore in the programs list. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click continue.

(2) in the System Restore dialog box, click choose a different restore point, and then click Next.

(3) in the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.

4) click Finish.

Let me know if it works. Good luck!

Hope this information is useful.

Thank you and best regards,

KKS Vijay
