V3 772 g 9653 mSATA size

I solved my problem of not being able to get in the BIOS by using the reboot of Windows 8 method of BIOS and disable FAST BOOT now to F2 and F12 on startup and I am now ready to install an SSD.

Windows keeps telling me that I'm about to no longer receive updates for it and must get to Windows 10 and after seeing all the problems I had with this model will 8.1 have no intention of ruining a machine works perfectly fine for trying to get the update. Therefore, I want to put a SSD in and fresh install Windows 10 before leaving the existing drive intact.

I'm at mSATA SSD as the price of the HARD Drive Caddy is OUTRAGEOUS and may as well buy a more expensive mSATA since standard SSD + Caddy = $$$ more. However, there seems to be 3 sizes, and as I was about to buy is available in 48 mm, 60 mm and 80 mm flavors.

What is the correct size for mSATA 772g?

Hello

Careful, you confuse m2 with the ones mSata form factors. The 772 G have mSATA not M.2 slot.

And it's a normal mSATA don't slot not a mini, as I can see here: https://raywoodcockslatest.wordpress.com/2013/11/06/acer-aspire-v3-772g-9829-hardware/

So you will need a player of mSATA with 51 mm. not a m2 (which, Yes, can be 22mmx48mm 22 x 60 mm or 22 x 80 mm).

  • Laptop Acer Aspire V3 - 772 G-9653 flicker when unplugged

So, I contacted customer service and even sent in a ticket about this, so I thought I fixed it and is more required to send my laptop (I was transported with joy, that I just got my laptop back to Acer less than a month ago.)

I was wrong - and I found the problem only occur when you remove the portable computer from loading. The screen will Flash very subtly... then again... then it would become quite obnoxious that the battery is exhausted. I obviously adjust brightness of the screen when I'm at school and fresh out of my laptop.

Sometimes the flickering stops as soon as I plug, sometimes I have to restart the computer after plugging in it - flicker will exercise for a little while longer, but eventually always disappears completely until I have school the next week, then the process repeats itsself.

We never seen anything like it, or have a preview? I fear that my laptop will have to once more return to the service - blah.

I would say, if you have not already, download and install the latest graphics of the support Web site of for your V3 - 772G Acer driver. Another thing I would do would be to use one of the default power, like balanced or high performance options.

If none of the above suggestions work and as a last resort, I would recommend recharge your computer Acer to factory default. If it does not the problem is most likely a hardware problem. If you set up a repair I would say providing very detailed instructions and how long it takes to reproduce the problem.

  • want to dv6 msata

    Hello

I'm looking to add a disk to my HP Envy DV6 msata - 7250ca and I was wondering...

    (1) is it possible?

    (2) it does not support any drive msata size or is there only certain drives may work with it?

I know in the manual it mentions a 32 GB msata drive used as cache but I would use a 128 GB or 256 GB in msata car because the OS not the cache. I was also looking to load Windows 7 instead of Windows 8 on it. Has anyone having problems with this?

Yes a lot of questions. First of all, it is very difficult to get on the mSATA slot. Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

See Page 75-76 and all you have to do before getting to the slot.

Second, player mSATA only usable as an operating system if you give up the main drive. If a primary SATA drive is present the system won't boot from disk mSATA. You can do a workaround involving a bootloader software on the main drive, but it is too complex to be practical.

In your case, the best thing to do is to install an ordinary SATA SSD drive. They are less expensive than the mSATA disks. I saw yesterday that a top of the range THAT SSD 512 GB was going for $269 on newegg. We can certainly help you to put Windows 7 on it without problem.

  • Inspiron 15 7579 2-in-1 > 2 discs?

    Hey,.

got my new Inspiron 15 7579 2-in-1 and checked the bios. It says SATA-0 none and SATA-1 lists my ssd. Does this mean I can add (if there is space) a second drive SATA-0? as msata size?

I remember in the past, computers DELL laptops had disks msata + a true HD inside, but I don't know if there is also space in these ultrabooks.

    M.

If you look at the service manual (link below) it seems that the answer is no: there is no space within the system for a 2.5 drive ", or all the other connectors m2 for the solid state drive.  There is space for one SSD of m2.

  • Maximum size of mSATA SSD in ideapad Y580

    Hi all

What is the maximum size of mSATA SSD that is supported by Y580 ideapad?

    125 or 256 GB?

    What?

    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the community!

I don't think that there is no constraint of size on the mSATA connection in your pc. the only constraints are the sizes of SSD and your wallet.

I have not seen a larger than 256 GB yet and that's what I have in one of my machines. very happy with it.

    Cheers.

  • The mSATA upgrade size and put windows 7 in it - L521X

    My equipment:

L521X with windows 7 64 bit home edition

32 GB mSATA (even if only 8 GB are used) and a 750 GB HARD drive

I did some reading and it seems that what I want to do is not so easy. I want to improve the size of the 500 GB mSATA. Then I want to install the CD of the score mSATA and just use the regular 750 GB hard drive as a storage device.

    A few challenges: I read:

    * I can't use the DBAR (recovery discs) to do this

    * I have to resintall from scratch

    * I have to buy a disc of Windows 7 OS separately and then install all the drivers concerned.

    * I have to disable acceleration before TSRI install first and then disable the TSRI in the BIOS.

    Issues related to the:

    * Can I not simply direct the installation drive to be initially mSATA?

    * I think I can't clone the disk 750 GB HARD drive, even if only 100 GB is used for a 500 GB mSATA? That's why a re-install?

    * If the issue being that the DBAR resides on an encrypted partition? (or something like that). Where the DBAR cannot be used to install on mSATA?

As the a workaround if the configuration above does not work, can't just disconnect the HARD drive to install on mSATA? If I plug plug back in, BIOS will treat as main HARD drive? (I say that there are no switches to go here or the BIOS settings?).

I tell myself that I no longer need TSRI if I update the size mSATA and just use the HARD drive regularly as a storage device.

I did not need UEFI even if that can speed things up because I do not see my having more partitions of 2GB.

I can just go SSD road, but it seems a waste not to use the hdd of 750Go regularly if I want to keep the drive blueray yet.

I would advise any new install, cloning or using DBAR with readers of Cache is nothing but trouble.

You should be able to call Dell Technical Support for a reinstallation of Windows 7 DVD but I recommend you rather use an .iso of Digital River:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/download-Microsoft-Windows-and-Office/Download-Microsoft-Windows/Windows-7-SP1-ISO-download/

Install without a product key, and use the Activation backup and recovery program to restore OEM product activation:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/a-clean-install-of-Windows/Microsoft-product-activation/the-activation-backup-and-recovery-program-Windows-Vista-7-version/

Follow my Guide from reinstalling Windows / a Clean Install of Windows:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/a-clean-install-of-Windows/

Note: You will need to format the conventional hard drive otherwise, you can form a kind of dual-boot. So save all data on an external hard drive.

Before installation, you will need to change the configuration of the BIOS to AHCI or the mSATA drive will be used as a cache drive (and its useless with a drive of 500 GB mSATA as a cache drive).

Once the data is saved, you can use the Windows disk to delete all partitions or use DBAN to erase the drive safely.

It is also possible for you to replace the mSATA drive and remove the conventional hard drive. You can then change the SATA operation in setup on AHCI BIOS and start installing Windows; If something is wrong, you can undo the change in the functioning of SATA and reinstall the original two discs. Once you have the Windows installation on the mSATA you like, you can remove and conventional drive of seat and starts then its dry with DBAN. After the failure, you can reinstall the new mSATA player with Windows 7. Once Windows 7 is loaded, you can see disk management open to install a new drive:

  • Inspiron 17R N7110 mSATA Mini (half size) SSD

    Hello

I want to upgrade my laptop Inspiron 17R N7110 with a SSD for Windows boot. I have only one place where the HARD drive is already integrated and I want to keep the HARD drive.

When I remove the dust inside the laptop the fan I saw the "mini card" (half) - Slot Machines. In one, I have WIFI, but the otherone is empty. So my idea was to add a Mini mSATA (half size) SSD.

I saw this on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/MyDigitalSSD-Super-Cache-HybriDisk-Software/dp/B00JF4CUBO/ref=pd_cp_pc_0

But I don't know if that would work (such as boot drive for Win8). Make this shape as a (half) "mini card"? Is SATA III to this slot machine supported? What I have to change in the BIOS?

    Thanks to all who responded.

The hybrid propulsion system is the best option for this (short to get a full SSD) system - there is no way to put an mSATA SSD in this system.

The system supports standard, 2.5 "hard drives up to 9.5 mm height.

  • E7440 Latitude hard drive size? 9MM? 7MM? mSATA?

    PCIe?

Could not find this info anywhere.  I have a few 7mm SSD drives I want to deploy with the latter.   However, if it is the PCIe, I might go that route too.

    Hello

If you order E7440 with standard HARD drive, it's actually 5mm HARD drive mounted in a pair of rubber distances that make it :) 7mm

Yes 7mm HDD/SSD fits very well (for me it's Intel 520 Series SSD), without any change in a standard cradle.

  • Fresh install of Windows 7 on Portege Z830-10R with new mSata SSD

I have Toshiba Portege Z830-10r and you want to reinstall Windows 7 costs on mSata new SSD.

The problem is, * Windows does not recognize the device and wants additional drivers.*

The 120 GB SSD Kingston is visible in the BIOS, updated automatically in AHCI mode (no option to change).
    How to fix?

    > The 120 GB SSD Kingston is seen in the BIOS.
Where did you see the SSD in BIOS?
If it is stated on the first page of the BIOS, including the name of readers and other details such as the size of the SSD?
If the SSD drive is recognized properly, there must be another question, why the system requires drivers.

I m wondering what camera you used to install Windows 7.
Boot you from external CD/DVD USB drive or did you use the USB flash memory key to install the Win 7 OS?

The point why I m asking is one of the key flash memory forum members used USB to reinstall the Win 7 OS on the same model of laptop, and it was not possible because the USB flash memory stick has been connected to the USB 3.0 port.

In case you have also connected the device to the USB 3.0, please try other * USB 2.0 port reinstall the system!

  • B580 mSATA

Hello community, simply subscribe to the Forum.

    A week ago, I bought a laptop B580 with i-5, 1 TB, 4 GB and added 4 GB and a 60 GB mSATA.

It has been configured with Windows 8 and only a large partition to use. The other hidden parttitions belongs to Win8 and LENOVO.

First of all, I had to repartition the disk: using a SW to Win8 installation on an external backup drive (size was approx. 20 GB), with the same tool, I deleted the installation and set up the new partitions as my standards of House (4). Then I restored the Win 8 installation and did an upgrade for Win8 Prof. those were simpler tasks.

I had a lot of problems that I tried to install SW using the mSATA drive for acceleration, I spent almost two days to search for the appropriate drivers on the drivers LENOVO B580 and Win8 site, but none of the available drivers working not (h4iv07ww.exe).

Even the BIOS did not show the mSATA drive.

The function of the mSATA Fund, I removed the hard drive, installled Win8 Pro for the mSATA. He very quickly worked an expected. Setting back the hard drive of the laptop worked only with the 1 GB drive. Sometimes I could boot from the drive mSATA (F12), but this isn't what I love to do - it saves no time at the start!

Is there a LENOVO expert who could help? Lenovo support on phone was not able to help.

    Hello neokenchi,

as announced, I installed Win7 pro. After updating all the drivers all works well. It took appr. four hours, no more problems with eSATA and acceleration.

I also got rid of annoying Apps and more garbage LENOVO Add ons for Windows 8.

I could only give a hint to people having problems with Win8. The best you can do is to downgrade to Win7, but be careful, that Microsoft allows him only to Win8 pro!

I tried to install without having the hd attached, the same error.

Any of you guys have ideas on how to possibly solve the problem?

    See you soon!

for one, I have not use this ssd in a laptop.
    It's a terrible sandforce laptop.
You must use one of the intel ready models boot much better power profile.
more sandforce tell it different not good for the laptop.

    What is a clone?
you did, or a copy of win 7 with the windows 7 usb tool.

You must use a very important 4 GB model or bios does not have a usb of larger size.
    more little won't hold win7.
You must convert an iso, then make the USB bootable and had not accused the file system on the key.
I use a special wrench just to install win 7 only.

in the bios, you can select the USB as a boot first or 2nd order.
2nd, so you must press the start command menu to select a boot device.
you not on port 0 is your right to Board, you will need to select the first boot to usb in this menu.
Make sure also that in bios flat disk of port 0 is not stopped the ist and the msata is moved to the top online.

some easy ways could be pulling the 2.5 and then he select auto.
You must specify the pc what you're doing.
you don a thing out of use and who does not go to port 0 but a new port for the reader.

If you select usb in the bios the first order when you reboot your system with the installation it will reinstall in a loop that why tyou select not this first, but use the menu screen. F9 or something depoends on the pc manufacturer.
If you fall into a traction of the loop, the main cause of the image is already there so next restart windows by default to the disk image and complete the installation.

I know a lot of info here but win 7 can be easy to install or hard depending on if you have it down pat.
I did over 100 installs so I know everything inside and out and even I forgot to do something from time to time.

Check again it is a good image on the button who made the right size in the right way and he fully bootable (huge deal - bootable)).
Select the msata as the new boot ist or 2nd as rom is foirst for most.
    the old disk is 2nd.
PROMT you F to select the USB drive as the new boot device.
is nothing another pluged and do not use the combined port but I did lol he worked or sata port 3.

ALSO - it's a big deal make sure that usb get you is a start control device which means power immediately.
normally we lone usb on most laptops.
Some will not be powered until this that completely initialized, this means no power when first restart.
Commen problem on mobile phones when we have the beta version of windows on the USB.
Some phones only maintain a usb on the first step.

look at the light of thumb it will show if cela a port not starting.

  • Y580 - do I have to install a 256GB SSD mSata instead of the 32 GB one?

    Hello

I bought a Y580 with 750 + 32 GB SSD. I want to buy a Crucial M4 SSD mSATA and install it in place of the 32 GB one.

Should what additional things I do this? Should I just covers or padding for her? Will it screw? In addition, it would be possible for my to install a new copy of Windows 7 on SSD?

Would be really helpful if someone who's done this before post some links to the material I need.

    Thank you!

For the size of the screws, refer to this topic
    http://forums.Lenovo.com/T5/IdeaPad-Y-U-V-Z-and-P-series/Y580-screw-size-that-secures-wireless-adapt...
I'm not sure but I think that all the msata ssd are not the same size.
For the installation of OS on ssd there was no problem because the size of the ssd 256 GB, which should be more than enough.
Just to make a note, I want you to know that you can make use of the 32 GB ssd so by merging both the ssd and HDD by using fast disk. For this, you need to install the os on the ssd and join the readers. Read this document for more information
