Validation of the page when you press the button

Hello

I have an element of the P59_MAIL_EVENT page that must be completed before pressing the button P59_CREATE_ATTACHMENTS from another region. The P59_MAIL_EVENT field is a Popup LOV.  The button sets a value on page 60 and then redirects to the page 60. It works fine when the P59_MAIL_EVENT field is filled in. I am trying to introduce an error control to prevent the user from go to page 60, if they did not choose something in P59_MAIL_EVENT.  I tried a simple Page element / Not Null of validation, but it did not work.

I created a validation step with PL/SQL function that returns a Boolean. It is associated with P59_MAIL_EVENT and the when button is set to P59_CREATE_ATTACHMENTS button. Validation seems to have no effect. It brings me to page 60 when the LOV is empty and the key, which is what I'm trying to prevent.

BEGIN

IF: P59_MAIL_EVENT IS NULL THEN

RETURN FALSE;

ON THE OTHER

RETURN TRUE;

END IF;

END;

Thanks for looking at this.

The P59_CREATE_ATTACHMENTS button must submit page and branch to page 60, rather than redirection so that validation works. Change the button action to redirect to submit and create a branch to page 60 which is conditional on the button get clicked.

  • Turn off the text field (always submits page when you press enter)

    I have an area which allows you to enter search criteria. There are two fields and a button. The 1st field is a selection list that gives a list of columns in a database that can be searched on. The 2nd field is where the user enters the value to search for. The user can submit the search in 2 ways. They can press the button or press return when the cursor is in the 2nd item that is a text field (always submits page when you press enter). The results are then displayed in a region of report below.

    The problem I have, is that if the request is for > 10 seconds and the user gets impatient and hits the Enter key or the button search again the query is returned for a second time (or third or fourth according to the impatience of the user) causing the claim on the basis of data with a negative impact on the performance of the system.

    I know how to handle the search key. On a click event on I turn off the button so that the user cannot click on it again and resubmit the request.

    My question is - how can I turn off "always provides a page when you press enter" text item when the user presses enter? I tried an onclick event, but disabled the front element I could type in anything. Onblur event does not seem to do anything.

    Any ideas would be very appreciated.

    Hello

    First of all, one thing to try: attributes of the Page, there is a section for the presentation in double - try setting this option on no.

    Otherwise, using the text field type, adds the following to the INPUT tag:

    onkeypress="return submitEnter(this,event)"

    which means, you can call your own function of javascript on the onkeypress event, the final line would be call submitEnter(). But you can set the value of a hidden page element:

    function doEnter(t, e)
    {
     if ($x('P1_SEARCH_RUNNING').value == 0)
     {
      $x('P1_SEARCH_RUNNING').value = 1;
      return submitEnter(t, e);
     }
     else
     {
      return false;
     }
    }

    Then, after changing your element to an element of normal text on the attributes of HTML form elements, add in:

    onkeypress="return doEnter(this,event)"

  • Text field (always submits page when you press enter)

    Hello

    I have two elements (username and password) and two buttons (Submit & cancel) when the user enters the correct DB table entry values and strike button SUBMIT with the < /b > < b > mouse it is able to go to the next internal page does not, up to here everything works absolutely perfect.

    But now, instead of clicking the button "SUBMIT" with the mouse, I want the user to use the functionality of the ENTER key on the keyboard and so I apply the two elements (username and password) as < b > text field (always submits page when you press enter) < /b > and < b > password (submits when you press enter) < /b > respectively.

    any help?

    Hello

    OK - two things...

    First of all, your branch to page 9 was conditional on the SUBMIT button

    Second, you had the condition that "request = Expression 1" where it should be "EXISTS.."

    I removed the button state and changed the condition type. Try it now

  • Open a tab, when you press a button

    Hi all

    I have trouble getting my VI to open a specific tab page when I press a button.

    I found the following trick in the forum:

    Use the nodes property.  First, get the page references.  In this table, select the specific page reference.  Then write the Page Enabled in the Enabled property of the Page. After that, write the page value in a local variable (if the tab is a control) or write the value directly in the terminal if the tab is an indicator.  Close references.

    What I managed to do so far is set to the Enabled property of the Page. However I can't seem to find any sort of "writes" the value of a page

    Could you help me with this?

    Thank you

    Nick

    While that will give you lots of toys to play with, it seems to me they're just complicated things here...

    Take a look at this excerpt:

  • is it possible to put in place a control of the event in labview to create a string indicator when you press a button

    I'm trying to implement a user interface where an operator can set the column headers for a report and I use indicators of the string as the placement for the text in the column headers.  Given that many of them will have experience with Labview, I was hoping to set a button with the ability to add or possible delete a string indicator when you press.  Is it possible to set up an event like this?

    You cannot create an indicator of the string, but you can change the visibility of the existing volumes.

    For example, you can display an indicator of the string, giving the impression that his creating.

  • Change the State of the button when you press another button

    Hi all

    I have a simple enough question, but just does not know how I can do this... I'm trying to switch between the two types of waveforms (sine and square) on a graph using buttons and a box structure.

    I currently have two buttons A and B. When I press A, it turns into real and displays the waveform 1. When I press B, B turns into real and displays the waveform 2. However, when B is true, I still have a permit as true (hurry)

    I can't figure out how to change the status of a return to false when you press B and vice versa.

    I am fairly new to Labview so if anyone can refer to a position where it is already the answer or point to the right direction, that would be appreciated

    Thank you

    Rather than clutter up the code with the event hidden cases (!), controls (!), value properties (!) and variable (!) local (as suggested above but not recommended at all!) In addition, it does not even work correctly!), all you need is a control radiobutton that allows also to "no selection". See attached (LabVIEW 2013). You could also add a third Boolean value for the sine wave and not dismiss "no selection" to make the code even more if auto-documentent.

    I made the transparent container radiobutton to match your existing style.

  • No Satellite A200-27R no response when you press power button / stop

    Hello

    Ive looked all over the internet and has spent weeks trying to understand the problem, but im at a loss.
    I recently replaced a cracked screen on my A200-27R and everything worked fine.

    A few days later, I started the new laptop and nothing has happened and has been the same since.
    The electric blue and the battery turns on but does not respond when you press the power button, not even the fan.

    I checked all the connections inside several times, checked without the battery, etc.
    I'm not sure what to try next, any ideas?

    Thank you

    Can you start cell phone if the battery is removed, with AC power only?

    You know, it's not easy to say what can be the problem.

  • Reset button when you press another button

    I just started using labview to work and need help with my last piece of code.  I am writing a program to control an instrument which requires a signal 'halt' and a 'reset '.  When the instrument is stopped (for reasons of error that is generated a continuous stop signal) how to reset the device is emitting a signal of 'reset '.

    The stop signal is triggered by a Boolean button or a mistake from an entry DAQmx, the reset signal is triggered by a Boolean button in a structure of cases this is true when the stop signal is output.

    My question is when you press the button reset (correction of a mistake), I want button discharge to be depressed, otherwise my program would be stuck in a negative loop (IE I have reset the device but the stop button is always in a hurry).  I can't press two buttons at the same time!

    How do I link these?

    Thank you!

    Radio buttons do all the work for you, if you don't mind seen Reset selected until you actually hit stop.

  • Text field element submits the page when you press ENTER

    My page has
    -a 'text field' point
    -a 'Send' button (and a related branch, which works correctly).

    Management is working properly, when I hear some data for field text Item.
    and I press the submit button.

    I would like to the text field do the same action,
    When I press ENTER,
    After completing a few data for the text field.

    Currently, this does not work, and I get the following message:

    "ERR-1777: Page 121 provided no page at junction."
    Report this error to the administrator of your application.
    Restart the Application.

    I also tried the "(always present when the page Enter Presseds) text field" setting
    for the parameter "display as" Item.

    You can try my page at:
    http://Apex.Oracle.com/pls/OTN/f?p=9218:121

    Thank you very much
    Marios

    PS

    Make sure that the unconditional branch has a sequence number greater than all other branches - Apex will use the first part, that it can find which corresponds to the current situation. I tend to use 999 for the sequence numbers of the unconditional branches.

  • Text field of point (always submits the page when you press enter)

    I do apply in which I could read codes bar by the optical drive, for which I use a field of text element, which shows me the barcode information, and then I click the button Save, which is a successful process...

    But when the property changes of text field for the point (still stands when enter press pages) for automatic recording, the process is not successful.

    -That can be done to the code system reading barcode automatically saves...

    Note: when reading of the bar code, including the son of enter...

    Make sure that your process page is not conditional on the 'Record' button that is clicked.

  • (Help!) Have a loop in the scene, and when you press a button, it goes to another scene and ends (with a repeat button)

    I'm newer to ActionScript 3, so I am not sure that what I'm doing.  I hope someone can help!

    Scene 1 (which is long of 40 images), I have this code for the 4 buttons until framework 39-

    import flash.events.MouseEvent;

    Button1.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, goNormal);

    function goNormal(event:MouseEvent):void {}

    stage.frameRate = 20

    }

    Button2.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, goMedium);

    function goMedium(event:MouseEvent):void {}

    stage.frameRate = 38

    }

    Button3.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, goFast);

    function goFast(event:MouseEvent):void {}

    stage.frameRate = 60

    }

    Button4.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, goEnd);

    function goEnd(e:MouseEvent):void {}

    Stop ("scene 2", 1);

    }

    On the last picture (40), I have "stop();"

    Scene 2, I "play();", so that it plays, and then on the last image of this, "stop()";

    I'm quite confused.

    Basically, I want to make it to where I can have the first 3 buttons change the FPS of the first scene, but I want it loop back (and not go to the stage 2).  I want then press 4 to go to scene 2 and at the end of the file, but with a touch of repetition where it repeats the scene 1.

    Thanks in advance!

    Rather than use stop(); using try framework 40: gotoAndPlay (1);   Who takes care of the loop, that you say you want.

    For the button that will take you to the stage 2, you have the arguments in the correct order.  It should be Stop (framing, stage);

    Regardless of the button repeat you are planning you can have use: gotoAndPlay (1, "scene 1"); assuming that the scene 1 is named as such

  • How can you write a table to a file when you press a button in Labview 8.5

    I am new to LabVIEW, so I don't know if it's hard or not or can even be done. I have data I am gather and store it in a table in LabVIEW but I want to be able to take all the data table and write in a text or excel file. Another part I want is whether when a user presses a button, in which case they screwed up. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

    It is not hard to do. If you have a main loop that collects data continuously, so you can wire just up the Boolean value control to a case structure, so when the button is true you write to the file. It is supposed to be a one-off, or are more than a rocker (which means that you connect so that the button is true)? You can also use a structure of the event. See the "New handler" example that comes with LabVIEW (help-> find examples).

  • How to stop a slide automatically advances when you press one button several times in 8 Captivate?

    Hi, I am a beginner of Captivate so I hope someone can help me solve this problem, I found!

    I am trying to create an e-Learning module that I designed a custom at the bottom of the screen reading bar for. This includes a custom button to home/TOC (table of contents) which is linked to the prefabricated Captivate table of contents. I put this button to link to the table of contents, provided that the object is clicked. The function keys work perfectly the first time top, which brings to the table of contents as expected and displays the current slide. When you click the double chevron, it hides the TOC again, showing the State of origin of slides, which is exactly what is needed. HOWEVER! When clicking on the button home again for the second time on the same blade it displays the table of contents in the normal form (which is awesome), but the slide, and then progresses to the next slide automatically (NOT that I would) that I have previous buttons and depending also on the playback bar that control the actions end users.

    If anyone can offer me a solution to my problem, I would be extremely grateful because I can't seem to find someone else with the same problem?

    Thanks in advance

    You replace the simple actions by a line standard actions. Here is a video on YouTube which explains, not to mention the blog that David was pointing to:

  • options tab is displayed when you press "home" button

    Since Firefox updated to 39.0 it will open the tab options, whenever I click on the Home button and it makes me mad. How can I stop this from happening?

    Supports Firefox with several tabs as your homepage, and these are separated by vertical bars (|) characters. I think you need to change your homepage setting by hand to solve this problem:

    On the unwanted Options page, in the general section, click on the address of the home page and press the end key (or you can select to the end with the mouse). From there, you can use the BACKSPACE key to remove this part:

    |about:preferences

    or maybe it will be a top like this hash tag:

    |about:preferences#general

    Does it work?
