  Hi all!

  I'm trying to upgrade a vcenter 5.0.1 for 5.1.0 application. I use the oracle db

  If I followed the instructions (upgrade to VMware vCenter Server Appliance).

  When I choose "default sso config", I get an error 500 impossible to connect to the remote server: 10xxxxx

  If I don't use default values, I have to enter the DB connection. First test is with the db user sys to the dba.

  This resulted in an error "login as SYS should be as SYSDBA or SYSOPER.

  Then, the next thing: our dba has created a new user with sufficient privileges.

  Following error:

  [+ 2045] INFO | Database validation failed: BadTablespace - Tablespace RSA_DATA missing or not visible by the user.

  [+ 2049] INFO | COMPLETED

  VC_CFG_RESULT = 720 (error: did not find the storage space required for the installation of the SSO.) Please, consult the installation and Configuration Manual on how to create spaces for storage.)

  It's not funny :-(

  Advice how to fix this?

  On your oracle database, you will need to run these two files after appropriate change 'rsaIMSLiteOracleSetupTablespaces.sql' and 'rsaIMSLiteOracleSetupUsers.sql '.

  They are available on the iso image available for windows install under the single folder sign On\DBScripts\SSOServer\schema\oracle.

• Upgrade camera 5.5.0 vcenter vCenter 6 database device error

  Hi all

  I'm doing an upgrade of the internal laboratory to vcenter device 6. I first upgraded from vcenter Vcenter 5.5 5.5 windows fling unit, using the upgrade.

  Then, I want to upgrade to vcenter 6 but this fails with an error of database schema in step 4 when you post.

  The exact error message is:

  Source vCenter Server diagram validation has discovered a problem.

  Read the vcdb_req.err log file and resolve the problems.

  This file I found on the device itself and I opened it with the command:

  /var/log/VMware/upgrade/vcdb_req.err more

  At the top of the file, I see the following messages:

  How can I move or resolve these error messages do the upgrade?

  Log in to the root user.

  Then run:

  / opt/VMware/vpostgres/Current/bin/psql - U postgres d VCDB - c 'drop sequence if exist vpx_host_cnx_seq waterfall.

• vCenter device vcsa - step.html question

  Hi all

  When I try to launch vCenter device vcsa - step.html I get this error that is given in the attached screenshot even I installed the plugin for customer integration, but the question is always the same. Any help will be appreciated

  Solution was the installation of the Plugin VMRC installation that was missing.

• Unable to add previous hosts to vCenter device

  Greetings.  We are migrating our guests to new hardware.  We had three hosts for running ESXi 5.5.0 - 1331820 with the vCenter device on one of them.  Everything worked well.  In the process of moving virtual machines around, vCenter device has been deleted (intentionally).  We recreated the device of the OVA 5.5.0.5201 vCenter and ran through the Installation Wizard as previously.

  Now, when you add one of the existing hosts to vCenter, it finds the host and displays information.  When the user clicks on finish, it works quickly up to 80% and the host appears, and then disconnects.  The log shows: add host independent, added host, unable to connect host computer in the data center; connection error host, removed in the data center.

  The error showing is: cannot communicate with the specified host (x.x.x.x). The host may not be available on the network, may have a network configuration problem, or that the management on this host services may not respond.

  
  

  Now the stupid thing is that we can not even add the host on which the vCenter unit is on.  In addition, all hosts and vCenter unit are on the same network of management.  There is no firewall doesn't block all ports.  I read through a lot of the display of the Knowledge Base, and most is in regards to incorrect IP addresses or ports blocked or similar.  I checked through everything and could not find anything wrong.

  
  

  Last thing is that we amazed the ESXi host that had the vCenter device on it and re-installed 5.5.0 - 1623387 ESXi (version a little more recent than before) and reinstalled the that vCenter device exactly as before.  Now we can add that the host but still cannot add other hosts.  So it appears the issue is something with the hosts and not the device vCenter.

  I run in to the same kind of problems with other factors.

  FWIW, have you tried the following in this order? 1 stop the vpxa on host, 2 service. Stop the service vmware-vpxd on the vcenter server, 3. Start the vmware-vpxd on the vcenter server, 4 service. Start the serivce vpxa on the host. Then try to add.

  I have a satellite phone and when I put the DVD in the drive I get:

  and
  This request could not be performed because of an I / O DEVICE ERROR.

  Please someone can help, I had a lot of problems with this laptop and wondered whether or not I take repairs... yet again!

  This error is displayed because the drive is not able to read DVD media.
  It would be interesting to know if this happens with all DVDs

  In any case, I think you should try it first;

  Access to the registry, and then remove the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

  After this short intervention, restart the laptop.

  If this doesn't help then the chances are that the player could malfunction
  In this case, you should ask the technician to phone for help!

• Satellite P30-145-IO device error

  My problem is with the so-called player super multi, when I insert a DVD - RW I get i/o device error, I tried other brands and CD also with the same result.
  It works very well with the 'true' DVD but not the accessible variety in writing.
  I tried using Microsofts IE. the whole thing of IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers with nothing does not.
  Can someone help with this frustrating dilemma?

  As far as I know there is no one-size-fits-all solution for this type of problem. Try to remove the device from Device Manager, and then restart the device.

• HP Jet 7, 8.1 Win Win 10 update and Bluetooth "devices errors."

  I did the upgrade from 8.1 to win to win 10.  So far, I've noticed all my devices Bluetooth "devices errors."  I have deleated all BT devices and tried to charge the BT device to my soundblaster roar 2 and a simple generic keyboard and I got the same results. I have tried reconnecting with other devices.  Did someone went down this path? HP, Microsoft, suppliers... has a driver upates?  I have not read on win 10?  Device Manager will be my frined here, deleting and reloading BT associated drivers?  What do you say?

  Hi, Yes, my bluetooth mouse works fine on my Stream with 10 Windows 7, device drivers are available from hp.com.  You could try to reload the driver bluetooth of Windows 10.

• Tecra A4 PTA40E: DVD rom IO device error

  I have the portable Tectra A4 PTA40E. When I insert a disc into the DVD Roam driveand try opening. I get an ie error message is D:\is not accessible. The request could not be performed because of an i/o device error.

  I reinstalled the driver, dosent them work again.

  It looks a bit like a hardware problem but first try them all these common advice;

  First try to remove the drive from the Device Manager and restart the laptop. Windows should recognize the CD/DVD drive and re-install the drivers.

  If this does not help, you must check this document knowledge of MS;

  According to this MS document, you should try to change the Transfer Mode to DMA to PIO and back.

  Sorry, but your description of the problem is really more than ridiculous. Explain what is exactly the problem, and when this error message occurs.

  I have a Satellite A100 - 01 G, but the CD/DVD drive is not accessible when I try to open the files on a disc. When I try to run a disc I ge "the request cannot be performed an i/o device error.

  Have you tried to update the CD/DVD drive?
  You could go to the Device Manager and could remove the reader of CD/DVD from the list of devices.
  Then, you must restart the laptop.
  After restarting again the Windows operating system will recognize the new device as the CD/DVD drive and will initialize and reinstall the driver.

  Then try using the new CD/DVD drive

• No boot device error - early 2014 Macbook Air

  Forgive me if this has been posted elsewhere, I could not find another post as of yet with my set of circumstances.  I have a Macbook 2014 as shown air above 10.10.5 running and have had installed Boot Camp and windows 7 working for more than a year.  Recently, I tried to boot into boot camp and got the dreaded "No. Bootable Device" error.

  When I go to the startup disk in the settings I see BOOT CAMP Windows option to restart, but I get the above error when I restart.  When I restart and hold down the option I am not isolation presented with the option to boot into Windows or bootcamp.  I can see the boot camp partition in finder and disk utility.  I tried to create an installation disk Usb 2.0 with the latest version of windows software support in the Boot Camp Assistant.  I tried to use this drive to try to repair the disk, but cannot use the touchpad or keyboard or external keyboard.  Tried to use a player great external mac with a windows 7 dvd and had all the same problems.  I tried swapping usb ports and don't have anything yet.  I read somewhere that this could be a problem with the Usb 3.0 ports and drivers with windows 7.  Now I'm at a loss on how to recover it without having to reinstall.

  If I can see the data of the boot partition might be the problem?  I don't know what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Can you post the output of the following commands in OS X Terminal?

  diskutil list

  Cs diskutil list

  sudo TPG - vv - r see the/dev/disk0

  sudo fdisk/dev/disk0

  The "sudo" commands will prompt to enter your password, and there do not appear to come back. You can also see caution against improper use 'sudo' and the potential loss of data due to an "abuse" of the order.

• Equium A100: Disc D is not accessible - i/o device error

  I recently bought a box of 50 masterpieces of Mozart CD. I want them on my drive hard, but every so often, I hear the whirring autour CD in drive D: but it then stops and no further action takes place. Equium A100 does not recognize the disc: no disc in drive D:! If I go to my computer and click on D:, I get a warning "D:\ is not available..." I/o device error."

  This only happens with certain CD; others are fine. Could I do something wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

  Hmm in my knowledge, not all CD and DVD are compatible and taken in charge and sometimes could happen that the drive can not read some CD.
  It is not impossible

  Maybe the firmware of the installed disk does contain all the details of manufacturing of CDs and properties and, therefore, the lens of the drive can not calibrate and manage the inserted CD.

  I found in my manual to the user a list of CD and DVD compatible and supported.
  There you should find the different manufacturers that produce a compatible media.
