  I passed my VCP 510 in November 2012, and the reason why I took this certification was due to the fact that it does not expire. They just took things into their own hands and changed the expiration of 2 years which is rather short and lack of professionalism in my own opinion.

  CompTIA changed their expiration of certification for 3 years in 2011 and it is only for those who have passed the exams after the announcement. Those who are certified before the date of publication are not affected. They wanted to run the existing decision all professionals certified during the ads but returned the rules after having too complains and risking a lawsuit against them.

  Well, I'm not the trouble to complain, but I'll just let it expire and boycott other courses with vmware education. Who knows if they don't change the expiry for 1 year at a later date. If I'm being certified to repair the vtec honda engines, means that I am able to repair the current version of vtec engines. Unless technology changes the future of design that makes my skills obsolete. But I'm always skilful to repair engines designed at the time where I spent my certification.

  I will be happy if they let time do rather than expiring certificates expires it based on the date that you have been certified. Many companies still use exsi 5.1 in 2015, which is at the end of my certificate. I don't see the need to re-certify myself managed the same version of virtualization technology which I am currently using for reasons to do so. Unless companies are crossing to exsi 6, 7 that make version 5 is out of date. Candidates have no choice but to the recertified because their certificates are no longer relevant in the market.

  I will try to discourage my friends to take this certification because of the way it works in VMware. Of dragonic and lack of integrity. The candidates don't mind if they are made known it beforehand and not to change the rules as it goes along. It seems very unfair to those who have been certified before the announcement.

  Finally someone who is on the same page as myself.  I've been struggling with this problem as well.  I contacted their Dept. support education three times clarification, explaining why the situation is unprofessional, etc..  Their response is that I can take the consideration of VCP550 for the VCP5 cert I already have? (Thanks for that) OR I can get certified in one of their other products (Great I can become one of these certificates only paper that I do not use other products)

  To add insult to injury, those of us who have jumped on the VCP5 early are penalized more than those who have recently received their VCP!  We have until March 2015 to renew, whereas if I had stalled until March 2015 I two years!  Not to mention, it is not yet a VCP version to move up yet!  Great, so if I had not been a start VCP5 I would probably have the ability to get a VCP6, but I will not have this option unless I re - certify as a VCP5 by an arbitrary date?  WTF?

  Seriously?

  I still have to decide if I will re - certify passing the exam that I already have.  BUT I assure you I will keep the VCP4 and the VCP5 on my RESUME, and if the new employer checks, I'll show them with pleasure the hard-earned certs that I framed on my wall.

  I see more and more hyper-v in the SMB, I guess I can get well in this movement.

• PCC 510 E - certificate

  Hello

  I erased VCP 510 Exam on December 25, 2012. I received an email from VM Ware on 28 saying:

  Your transcripts online will reflect your VMware Certified Professional on vSphere 5 status as soon as you:
  -Confirm your delivery address
  -Consent to the release of transcript
  -Accept the agreement of VMware Certification

  I have confirmed all the details on the same day, but always after 5 days, there is no update in my transcript online (screenshot attached).

  Is it possible that I can get the electronic certificate or something else as evidence of review of compensation. Because the paper will have at least 6 weeks to reach and I need proof of the Charges before that.

  There is no electronic certificate, you will need to wait as your transcript to be updated.

  Email [email protected] if you need team - one that needs to know that you are a VCP (employer, partner) can also contact the team to get confirmation.

  While I could not spend the $ to get (due to the class and lab home fees, I also would recommend vSphere 5 classes of Trainsignal, simply because David Davis is a cool guy.)

• VCP 5 process

  Hello

  I planning on next week, take VCP-510 and have a couple of questions about the process. I already took the vSphere CIM class 5 in December 2011 and I have the certificate when I connect to vmware.com... Now I need to register with Pearson from the exam. Since I already passed the Cisco certifications with them, I'm already registered, but its on another address email. How VMware equal in my review with the real course that I took to validate my PCV? Is there something I need to do the test center? Is there something I need to do beforehand?

  You don't need to take anything for the tests, or do something else before the test - centre focus only on your preparation and to get a passing beam score!

  VMware has a process to control those who pass the exam against those who have completed the training, the process can still operate automatically. You would normally receive an email from VMware within 2 weeks of the exam - I recommend that email you [email protected] if you only get the email after 2 weeks and explain the situation to them at this point.

  I took lessons for 4 VCP (VMware vSphere: install, configure, and manage) this year, 11 July and currently preparing the review of the secure Channel. I'm confused if I am eligible to 510 PCC or should I give VCP 410 first? Looked VCP 510 requirements review and his confusion... Please help!

  VSphere CIM class does not qualify you tp become a VCP5 - if this is your goal take the VCP-410 exam - when you spend it you will become a VCP4 how if you take and pass the exam VCP 510 before February 29, 2012 you'd be a VCP5 with no other class rules - after February 29 you need to take the vSphere 5 this is the new class-

• Upgrade VCP510-VTC at VCP6 VTC certification

  I got my certification VCP 510 on 14 may 2014. (expires May 14, 2016)

  What I have to reach 550 VCP Delta review first, or I can directly take the consideration of delta/beta VCP6.

  VCP550D is necessary for you to keep your current VCP5 VTC to take one of the VCP6-VTC exams without also having to be trained, so as long as you plan to upgrade to VCP6-VTC by may 2016 you can ignore VCP550D.

  I will schedule a review of VCP 5.1 (VCP510). I am aware of the Training VMwarelink, which allows you to sign up to review either VCP5.0/5.1 or 5.5 VCP. However, I have a few questions around registration for examination

  1. how many days in advance should I book a review?

  2. What is the mode of payment for examination fees? I guess it would be a transaction online. But the link accepts only credit cards? or credit and debit cards?

  3. once the review is scheduled for a specific date, can it be postponed if necessary?

  4. I finished VMware vSphere: install, configure, manage [V5.1] training on February 2, 2013. I hope so, it is still valid and in addition to exam VCP 510 of compensation, there is no need to attend any other training to be certified VCP.

  Can someone answer please queries above?

  The review, you have to take is VCP5-VTC. VCPD510 is for desktop, which is entirely different. Please go to the vmware certification page and select VCP5-DCV(vmware certified professional in datacenter virtualization) and you will find the action plan. You can follow it, and since you've followed the required courses, you will be eligible to take the certification. And also sign up for VTC - VCP on Vmware Portal before you book review on PearsonVUE.

  You need the VCP5 Certification to obtain the Certification VCP5-DT.   I think you can take the exam when you want.

  Shamim, educational and certification team is expert in this area, so your best bet will be to clarify who is necessary.    If they were told to follow the second entry and you still fear then share these concerns with the team and ask for an explanation.    Good luck with the exam.

  Hi, I had the PCC 510 today-, so am really happy. I was a VCP 3, have so 'Fried rabbit' VCP 4 delay walking (phew!).

  I now have my sights on the VCAP level qualification. Nobody knows when the VCAP 5 tests will be available?

  Congratulations - I guess you were also involved in the vSphere 5: what is new?

  There is no release date yet announced or any of VCAP5 examinations, I recommend you download plans for VCAP4 exams and start to prepare using those.

• Turning of vcp 410 to vcp (4 + 1) 10

  I'm not in this situation and it is just a general question

  1] I now a vcp 410

  [2] I guess that in one year, vmware will return with the PCC 510

  [3] it is a similar situation, passing VCP 310 at vcp 410

  [4] using the previous example. Inorder to go to SC 510, would a person must follow additional courses or can provide directly to examination of the update?
